Image

ImageHair: Short, black, spiked, and seemingly slicked back; these are a few characteristic of Koga's hair. It resembles something akin to flexible metal wire, as it hard and unyielding.

Facial Hair: A small patch of obsidian hair grows from Koga's chin forming a petit goatee. Other than this, his face is always and forever will be void of hair, it is naturally smooth to touch.

Eyes: The sclera of Koga's eyes are Orange and his irsis are black. When activating his pyromatic abilities the orange begins to flood his eyes until becoming solid orbs and glowing bright with fiery rage.

Build: It would be an understatement to simply say Koga is fit. His body is well defined with muscles, a fine example would be his chiseled chest. He has the body of a warrior and a life full of life-threatening adventure keeps him in shape.

Skin Tone: A light shade of ebony covers Koga's body. His skin stays tanned from the high temperatures and constant familiarity with flames. The obsidian armor that makes up the rest of his body, is the color of ash and charcoal, which is not exactly black or gray.

Height: Koga is surprisingly six feet tall, but because of his compact body and tendency to crouch slightly, he appears to be shorter.

Weight: Koga is a heavy individual, the obsidian armor that makes up 75% of his body mass is not light and totals to an astounding 240 pounds.

Voice: Behold, the mighty voice that belongs to the Emperor of Flame himself, Koga Tokugawa: God of War's Kratos.

Handed: Koga is a natural right, but as a result of his vigorous training, he learned to use his left with precise skill.

Body Markings: There is no need for Koga to decorate his body with markings to symbolize his heritage or culture, for his very physique is monument to who he is.

Scar Tissue: Though a warrior, Koga has no visible scars. This is due to the fact that when he his body radiates high enough temperatures, his skin will actually melt and regrow days later.

Unique Body Features: The most unique aspect about Koga is his shell. As a unique offshoot of his people, Koga naturally grows an exoskeleton of thick obsidian armor. The shell encases his organs and every other vulnerable feature of a mortal body. This gives him a degree of invulnerability as he cannot feel true pain, beside the ripping of his skin, for his nerves run under and in his armor. Koga skin also ashes regularly and grows quicker than the normal.

Quirks
  • Koga's body is a virtual furnace; he is always radiating heat. His natural body temp ranges widely amongst very high degrees. To touch his body is to touch fire itself. Because of this he can often be a hazard as he can set fire to things without meaning to.

  • Further proof that Koga's body is a furnace is the way he exhales steam and/or smoke depending on his mood. You can even catch flames erupting from his body at random if he is angry enough.

  • No pun intended... but, Koga can be extremely hot-headed and volatile, to the point where he can seem crazy. He has the tendency to fly off the handle at any given moment over the tinniest comment.

Virtue/Creed: "Burn Eternally." -- Growing up, Koga was told that Tokugawa's have a fire burning inside them that burns brighter and hotter than any flame. This flame burns eternally and gives them an unbreakable iron willpower to go for their goals, bestowing upon them the passion to do it with all of oneself.

Motivation: Koga desires utter revenge on every single soul responsible for the Tokugawa clan's demise. He will not stop until they are at the mercy of his righteous flames and their charred carcasses reduced to ash scattered against the wind.

Goal: Though strong, Koga is not strong enough. Some questions themselves before facing him, but none fear or cower before him. Both are qualities which Koga hopes to change. To do this, he must gain power and renown. And as of now, there is no better way to do this than to slay colossi. Undertaking this journey means his name will resonate throughout the land which will help make him a threat when he and his empire return to the world stage.

Fear: The Emperor of Flame isn't afraid of many things, but he isn't without them. The main thing that constantly worries him is that he will die a failure without brining justice to those who harmed his clan.

Likes
  1. The Cold: Being hot all the time can make one appreciate the cold. Koga often vacations in Cold Rock, enjoying the vast icy wastelands and freezing cold temperatures.

  2. Fire: Koga's love for fire stems from his culture and lessons on its many uses besides destruction. He also enjoys varying philosophies on the subject.

  3. Food: The Tokugawa clan inherently has a very fast metabolism, regardless of this, Koga loves to single-handily feast upon meals fit to feed an entire family or two.

  4. Danger: If it doesn't put his life in danger, then it isn't worth Koga's time. It is the primary reason he has agreed to accompany the adventurers on this excursion.

  5. Women: It is a given that men like women. While he does enjoys the dainty damsels, his true preference lies among the spitfires; women whose attitude match the heat he exudes.

  6. Boasting: Though not traditional, Koga loves to boast and brag. He is not so obnoxious as to do so with words... no, his way is much more subtle, like brandishing a seven-foot sword.

Dislikes
  1. Trust: Due to the high risk of betrayal, Koga doesn't like the idea of trusting. In his opinion, trust is an agreement that is struck based on the honesty of others and one's own stupidity.

  2. Demons: What is there to be liked about these red-skinned, fork-tongued, horned-headed devils? Since they were the first to bring harm to the Tokugawa Clan, Koga is extremely prejudice toward all demons and their kin.

  3. Centaurs: These four-legged fiends are no better than demons. And so they are met with the same disdain and deserve to harshest of deaths.

  4. Failure: Failure is not acceptable by any means.

Strengths: Bred to be a king, trained by elite warriors, and gifted with amazing powers; it is obvious that Koga's prowess lies in combat. No matter the form of combat, Koga has some level of proficiency in it or at least can depend on his natural armor to protect him from harm.

Weaknesses: At the core of Koga's fighting style is his pyromancy and his heavy reliance on it, take that away and he is little more than your average warrior. There are multiple ways to extinguish flames, it is simply up to his opponent to discover the best method and put it to use.

ImagePersonality/Mentality: Koga, in many ways is like the fire he wields: impulsive, dangerous, and left unchecked, can burn everything and everyone. He is obstinate, heady, and absolutely not subtle. But at the same time, he has the capacity to be: compassionate, empathetic, and loving. Unfortunately, life has been cruel and harsh, resulting in the man he is -- a man who prefers to hate than love, because it is easier; a man who knows only death and destruction; a man who has been alone for so long and has had the odds against him so many times, he has no other choice but to believe the world wants him dead.

With one thing in mind; to move forward, he lives by the Tokugawa Creed, "Burn Eternally." in other-words, never give up and keep pushing. Consequently, Koga is always on the run from his past and is afraid to stop, fearing that his past will catch up to him. He drowns his sorrows in liquor, scandalous women, and life-threatening adventures, secretly hoping that one day he will be killed therefore ending his torment. However, he will never take his own life as he feels his predecessors deaths will be in vain. This is why he strives to become stronger and devouts his life to the return of the Obsidian Empire.

Koga is cautious about those he trusts; there are few he calls friend, but many he recognizes as enemies. He worships his freedom and life above everyone else, not to say he is selfish and traitorous, he has just never known or cared enough for anyone else to hold them with same esteem as his self. Although... he is very outgoing, generally talking to anyone and will just as quickly share a drink with a stranger as he would murder them in cold blood. To share the battlefield with him as comrade is a high honor, one granted to few.

Becoming a master of pyromancy, has made Koga a master of his mind and emotions. His concentration and focus is unyielding to foreign forces that would see it disturbed or broken. Rigorous training has gifted Koga with the patience of a tranquil mind equivalent to a disciplined monk, but he himself is often ignorant of this fact and will submit unto the urge to react hastily without prior thought and strategy. In spite of this, his determination to achieve that goal, no matter what the consequences, is what drives him to success.

Koga walks with pride and dignity to his enemy, completely trusting in his abilities and will destroy his foe, even if it means burning everything in his path. Emotions of desire, courage, and strength are burning in his heart and he will change everything by doing the thing he must do. It is clear he will give anything to achieve his goal.

Rating System
[Perfect] - [Excellent] - [Good] - [Above Average] - [Average] - [Below Average] - [Poor] - [Very Poor]

ImageCombat Prowess
[Above Average] Hand-to-Hand Combat: The warriors of his homeland are instructed in the martial art form of Magma Karta. At its most basic definition, it combines their pyromancy with physical strikes and grapples. Koga has mastered the technique of fire bending, but not the hand-to-hand element; yet he is still an adept fighter.

[Excellent] Melee Combat: Koga's people revel in their superior weapon skill, in the past they used volcanoes as a forge to produce a majority of Wralandirs weapons. Being a gladiator afforded Koga the same privilege, if not more so, as one had to use whatever was available once on the sands. He eventually came to be an affectionate user and master of the larger and heavier weapons: swords, spears, mauls, and axes, were just a few he favored.

[Average] Armed Combat: Ranged warfare was never something Koga liked. As a true Obsidian Warrior, he believed his place was on the front lines, face-to-face with the enemy. But, he eventually came to be a skilled archer and proficient marksmen.

[Very Poor] Magic Combat: Going with his love of being up close and personal, spell casting typically isn't the best tool to be used in that manner. So Koga never sought to travel the path of a mage, making him poor in the area of everything arcana.

[Good] Mounted Combat: Taming and riding beast is major part of his people culture and war tactics. To become an Obsidian Warrior, this was another field Koga had to master. This resulted in him becoming familiar with riding a number of creatures and even honed his combat skills with riding in chariots.

Racial Abilities
[Perfect] Pyrokinesis: The ability to produce, control, and manipulate fire is a natural racial ability granted to Koga and his people. Upon mastering the ability, he can now do so with grand gestures and extend his grasp to secondary elements such as: smoke, heat, thermal, and other associated elements that involve fire.

[Perfect] The Living Metal: Known as the "living metal" to his people, Koga's body naturally produces the durable metal known as Obsidian. His body is encased a thick exoskeleton of the material. He can even force it grow, though it will not be a strong as the plating that lines his body.

Class Skills
[Excellent] Weapon Mastery: Anything Koga lays his hands on becomes a lethal killing device, capable of laying waste to hordes of enemies. He is skilled with variety of weapons, the bulk of them being melee weapons, but he also has limited prowess with ranged weapons.

[Excellent] War Hardened: Where most might be intimidated or even frightened by being surrounded by hundreds of bloodthirsty savages who care only about gutting you, Koga thrives and feels at home in these situations. In turn, Koga's moral is always high and his confidence is bolstered to levels that allow him to fight fiercely.

[Excellent] Indomitable Will: A trait commonly found, not only in the warriors, but everyday citizens of the Obsidian Empire, is the capacity to control one's emotions and impulses. This also means that Koga's will cannot be shattered or overtaken by outside influence such as fear and mind control.

Learned Knowledge
[Below Average] Reading, Writing, & Arithmetic: As a slave, there wasn't a heavy importance placed on studies. While Koga's uncle made sure their future king would no be ignorant, Koga is far from a genius.

[Below Average] Tongue of Babel: Wralnadir is a world of many, many races coexisting together. In order to survive, sometimes one only needs to know how to communicate. For this reason, Koga makes an effort at earning other languages. He isn't fluent in any of them and only knows those considered, the "savage tongues" which are the more primal races, like: orcs, goblins, gnolls, etc.

Mastered Techniques
[Excellent] Forge: At any given time, Koga can force the growth of obsidian spikes from his body. He can adjust specific characteristics such as: the location, width, length, density, and generally how dull or sharp it is. But, they will never amount to anything more than crude sticks. These spikes also aren't as strong as his armor plating or the the true forged version of the weapon, but still quite lethal. Koga can also shoot these spears from his body at high speeds using his pyromancy.

[Perfect] Pillar of Autumn: A technique taught to him by his grandfather, which was passed down to every son before him in the Tokugawa clan. This technique allows for Koga to explode in a giant tower of fire, that will instantly incinerate those within its affected area. But, doing so comes at heavy price and will leave Koga severely drained and vulnerable. Koga has experimented with this technique by adjusting direction and shape. So far, his adjustments has yielded great results.

[Good] Miasma Field: Where there is fire, there is smoke and Koga can spew torrents of this or steam in vast amounts. He usually chooses to do this in one of two ways. The first, is a minor smoke screen of thick black smoke. It works by obscuring enemy vision as well as filling their lungs with the smog, causing them to choke and cough. The second is similar to the first as it has similar effects, except the smoke is lined with a fine flammable mist that can be ignited to create a large explosion.

Image[Above Average] Infernal Rage: Fueled by a burning rage, Koga undertakes a transformation that tuns him into a walking volcano. His skin begins to melt away as his body is enveloped in a thick magma coating. As a result, his attacks receive a boost in range and damage, as they burn hotter than before and are generally of a more grander and destructive nature. He also becomes slightly invulnerable due to his new armor. Consequently, Koga is driven by blind rage where he feels the urge to burn everything in sight. Stopping is something he has been working on, but so far this only happens when he cools down, runs out of things to burn, or is empty, so to speak.

[Average] White Fire: By raising the temperature of his flames to very high levels, the flames will start to burn white hot and become a different form of energy entirely. In other words, Koga can generate a white fire relative to lightning. This ability is also accompanied by the moderate control and manipulation of lightning in all forms: natural, magical, or biological. After using this technique, a brief wave of exhaustion will come over Koga due to the amount of concentration need to gather and generate fire and derive the energy from his body. However, manipulation and redirecting pre-existing lightning is relatively easy to do.

[Below Average] Magma Spire: Exuding a level of geomancy, allows for Koga to make large spikes protrude from the earth in sudden violent and expedient eruptions. These spikes are made of molten magma and can impale targets as well as burn them. At Koga's current level of mastery, he can only summon one spire at a time and only at height of five feet. He must also allow for a brief interval of time to transpire before doing it again.

[Very Poor] Ionization: Koga is among the few in his clan capable of ionization. Some stumble upon the ability by mistake, others through experimentation; Koga discovered it after being told of it by ____ and ever since has attempted to master the technique. By heating a gas, Koga can ionize the particles thus creating plasma energy. As of now, Koga can use the process, but has found no use for it.

Rating System
[Perfect] - [Excellent] - [Good] - [Above Average] - [Average] - [Below Average] - [Poor] - [Very Poor]

Image[Very Poor] Hunting & Tracking: Never learned how to do either.

[Very Poor] Survival: Koga's survival skill assessment can vary depending on one's outlook. He can't fish, doesn't know if moss grows on the north or south side of a tree, and can't pitch a tent to save his life. However, he is one hard pest to exterminate and will burn a whole forest or dry up an entire stream, for food; and skills like that, enable him to survive.

[Very Poor] Stealth & Guile: Prefers the head-on approach, stealth is not his forte. Plus, he can be a little too bright.

[Very Poor] Barter: Violence is key here...

[Good] Leadership: Aside from being born and bred to lead, Koga was leader of his clan in the arena and during that time he lead them to many victories.

[Good] Tactics: Strategy comes naturally to the Burning King.

[Excellent] Honor: Koga is infatuated with honor as he is a leader and warrior, but not to the point that it becomes a flaw or exploitable weakness.

[Perfect] Courage: Facing colossi alone proves Koga to not only be courageous, but fearless and foolish.

[Perfect] Bloodthirst: Despite Koga's values, he loves the thrill he gets from rushing into battle and bathing his enemies in righteous waves of fire.

[Below Average] Wealth: Being a slave for most of his life has made Koga accustom to the bare minimal.

Attributes
Strength - [8] - Circus Strongman Koga's strength is not immense, but it is daunting. He will never stop a giant's punch with one finger or level an entire mountain, but lifting hundreds of pounds comes easy to him.

Perception - [7] - Big-Eyed Tiger On the battlefield one must always be aware of their surroundings. Letting one detail escape your notice can mean the difference between life and death.

Endurance - [9] - Bullet Proof: Koga's flesh is just as strong as spirit, if not more so. Below his skin, Koga has a thick obsidian exoskeleton which grows like naturally, protecting him from any form of harm.

Charisma - [7] - Diplomat: Whether wooing women or rallying armies, Koga's gift of gab puts him on par with very few. Surprisingly though, he is often a man of few words.

Intelligence - [4] - Knuckle Head Koga never believed too much in his studies, which is why he discontinued after reaching a level basic proficiency. However, healthy curiosity and a staff off gifted advisors keep him well informed.

Agility - [5] - Under Control: Far from clumsy and nowhere near graceful, Koga is comfortably situated in the middle.

Luck - [5] - Broken Gypsy Mirror: You win some, you lose some... based on Koga's life, he believes his luck is fair and balanced.

Primary Weapon

Weapon Name: Ruin

Weapon Type: Sword

Material: Arcane Mineral
Ammo: Stamina

Length: 7 ft

Weight: Weightless

Weapon Description/Info

Ruin is one of the fabled Weapons of Legend made on the Anvil of Creation by the master forger, Mulciber. This unique sword was fashioned of stone from a mystical location known as the Edge of Chaos: a mountain bluff overlooking a swirling pool of chaotic and destructive energy. Everything near the pool has become corrupted by the negative energies, therefore creating strange new substances with unique properties. This is why Mulciber sought to make a weapon from the mineral now known as Ragna Rock.

The blade is crudely sharpened with jagged and rough edges, yet it has an elegant shape with clearly defined figures carved into either side. There are also three words engraved into the face, which reads as: Conspectu tuo Saeculum Cadunt. The words are written in an ancient tongue, which when translated to common, means "Before thee, may the world fall." These words coincide with the sword's uncanny ability to lay waste to anything that stands before it.

Because the blade is made of Ragna Rock, it is fuming with negative energies which when imbued with the correct runes, it begins to harness the energies and not just absorb them. This is what enables the weapon to not simply cut, but destroy everything it comes in contact with.

Besides the ability annihilate, there is much more Ruin is capable of. For instance, because it was created on the Great Anvil, it is indestructible. Ruin also bonds to its master soul and forms unique deal with the owner. Just as Ruin protects its master in life, its master must protect Ruin in death. This means, that if the owner of Ruin should fall outside of combat, the spirit of its master must protect the sword from the unworthy. However, if the wielder should be bested in single combat, then ownership will pass to the victor. Once this has happened, Ruin forever belongs to said person. No one else can even pickup the blade, let alone use it and if it should be lost, the owner needs to but call its name and it will be summoned to their side.

It is said, that in the right hands, this weapon can decimate entire settlements with one fatal swing. But, there are so many rumors and myths surrounding the weapons abilities and origin, which combination is true is not certain. Some even think that the weapon's capabilities are dependent on the wielder. The suspicion is, that the sword is only as strong as it's master's will to destroy. Meaning, in the hand of a god, one could see to a cities demise, but in the hand of a lowly human, only mere trees and minor beast will succumb to its might.

Secondary Weapon
Weapon Name: The Living Furnace

Weapon Type: Pyromancy

Material: Flames

Ammo: Stamina

Length: Varying Range

Weight: N/A

Weapon Description/Info: Koga's body is a weapon that he has been training with since birth. Through an inherited art called pyromancy, he is capable of producing flames and other secondary elements belonging to fire. In addition to this, he has an exoskeleton made of volcanic rock known as obsidian which he can grow and repair with time and focus. Together these abilities are known to his people as the Ember Furnace Technique. Much like how a furnace would work, his body functions in a very similar way and just like a furnace has a shell where the fire is produced, so does his body.

The unique fighting style is made of two branches: offense and defense. Each branch coincides with his ability to produce fire and obsidian. The style also incorporates a specialized martial art which teaches proficiency with hand-to-hand combat and melee or ranged combat. Not all Genasi are born with this gift, it was a trait only common amongst the Tokugawa Clan and even then it was pretty rare. This is why an elite organization of soldiers were created known as Obsidian Warriors.

ImageItems
  1. Adventurer's Backpack: Nothing more than a backpack used to hold Koga's items when traveling. There are a few fabric enhancements placed on the bag, mostly to make it more durable and suitable for carrying food items. As of now, it holds a vast assortment of salted meats; as you can imagine, Koga has quite the appetite.

  2. Water Skin: A simple device forged of animal skin in order to successfully store water or other liquids. It can hold up to a gallon, which is more than enough for Koga. Surprisingly, he is usually no thirstier than your average human, even after using his powers.

Magical Devices
  1. Enchanted Stone: A splendid item gifted to him by a mage he happened upon during his travels long ago. It was a reward for aiding him with a troublesome problem. Though the mage had no money and nothing of real value, he foresaw that this item would be of great use to Koga. A small polished stone, engraved with a single rune allows for all of Koga's possessions marked with the same ruin to become flame retardant. The mage must have been of immense skill, as the stone continues to work without error.

  2. Hellkite: mount, flying creature, name igniter

Weapons
  1. Ruin: Koga's one and only weapon, always on person. [elaborate]

  2. Bow: [Obsidian Ballista, large black bow, fires flammable spears]

  3. Hammer: [called vulcan or something akin to a name of volcano, can cause lava fissures]

  4. Chain Axe: [axe with long chain. magnetic weapon]

Marital Status

Though single, Koga has an arranged marriage that is to take place the moment he resumes leadership of his people. If he is to one day resume his rule over Cinder Island and later take back Tartaros, he should be married and breed with a woman of fitting caliber. This is why he is to marry the royal princess of the emperor in place now. Koga is not completely adverse to this, but will continue to sow his wild oats until he returns.

Relationships

Relatives

Father: Born Vulshok Tokugawa, Koga's father was the emperor of Cinder Island. He was an ambitious man who foresaw the return of their fallen empire and would stop at nothing to see this dream become reality. However, some did share his vision, and he was eventually dethroned in an uprising and was banished from the island; forever stripped of his family's claim to royalty. Years later, after resettling in the Burning Sands, he was killed while defending his new home from slavers.

Mother: Syren the Elucide as she was known, was the fiery warrior who soon came to be Koga's mom and his father's wife. In her prime, she was a fearless warrior and the first female general in their people's history. She died alongside her husband, defending her home and family.

Uncle: Kyrax, Battlemaster to the military of the Obsidian Empire and younger brother to Vulshok, Koga's father. He was renown for his skill in combat as well being one of the last living Fire Lords. He followed his brother when he was banished and would have enjoyed nothing more than dying with his kin, but promised to look after Koga instead. He later dyed doing that very thing, as he held off centaur mercenaries while Koga escaped with his life.

  • Baloth, known as the Titan of the Arena fell before Koga, bequeathing the sword of Ruin to him as a result.

  • Unfortunately, the event was such a spectacle and Koga so well loved by the crowd, the arena refused to grant him true freedom, but instead offered a more lavish lifestyle.

  • Acting as if this was acceptable, Koga soon began planning an escape.
