"GO GET 'EM

WAR has broken out in the Middle Eastern nation of J'registahn after Prime Minister David Cameron finally announced 'Enough is enough' in Parliament last week to a standing ovation from both sides of the house, in reference to the crimes against humanity being committed by the range of insurgencies in the country. We have been shocked by headlines telling us of these atrocities for weeks on end and finally, we can all agree, something has to be done.

The president of J'registahn, Mummar bin Haseb, has been imprisoned by the largest of these insurgent groups, جماعة الاخوان المسلمين من الوعد (The Brotherhood of the Promise) for the last seven months. However, as they have been known to do in the past, the Brotherhood have released another video of bin Haseb's uncensored speaking to the world. In response to Mr. Cameron, bin Haseb gave thanks and wished godspeed upon British, French and Canadian militaries as they rush to assemble task forces. The leader of the Brotherhood, Mosaf Abbud Gezira, has warned the commanders of the new task force, which has yet to be officially named, that his 'soldiers' are 'ready to fight hard for their beliefs whatever the costs may be.'

The Ministry of Defence has been stingy with its information as always, but has said its portion of the task force will include elements of the famous 16 Air Assault Brigade, the RAF Regiment, and the Royal Marines' controversial new 26 Commando Covert Warfare Specialist Group..."

26 Cdo is new to war. Formed only in 2015 as a response to the criticism the Ministry of Defence faced over failure to 'fight fire with fire', 26 Cdo was engineered to cause as much destruction as possible with minimal losses. It's the first part of the Royal Marines corps to include a significant number of women, including, for the very first time, female officers entitled to wear the green beret.

The men and women of this new battalion are a selection from the best. The specialists are entitled to wear a special badge marking them as members of 26 Cdo, the rights to it being the hardest to obtain- second only to a special forces Swimmer Canoeist's badge. The rewards for making it so far are well-deserved- you must have wanted a job that involved huge explosions at some point.

The unit's first posting is to the dead centre of J'registahn, west of its capital where the strongest insurgency forces are based. Along with a French logistics unit and a Canadian infantry regiment, the camp- Camp Henry- is the headquarters of 26 Cdo, who are the only unit in J'registahn with their unique capabilities. Because of this, they come under heavy attack very frequently- hence the need for the Canadian infantry.

Missions and operations will be the thread holding this scenario together. Occasionally there may be a break period for the characters to interact with each other, such as through re-training or even R&R (rest and recuperation).
