"You must hesitate nor be frightened when your a healer. If you do then people will die." she had said.
A moment later Cal reached into the bag she had been carrying with her. It was full of medical supplies that thankfully she was glad she had brought. She looked at the man and quietly said, "its going to be ok." Then she began to work on his arm. The steward had cut a vital artiery. What was he thinking; what would he do if she couldn't have fixed this? Let the man die? Luckily she knew how to deal with this since she had dealt with someone from a bakery who did sort of the same thing. It took her a few minutes but she was able to reconnect the artiery and close up the wound and wrap it with bandages. "Its ok, you'll be fine. All you have to do is take it easy with that arm and let it heal. If you don't then the artiery will reopen itself." She was surprised at how easily she talked to the guard about it. Usually she was really shy with new people.
Putting away her things Cal stood up firmly as if to yell at the Steward but stopped as she looked at the man. A bit of fear took control of her and she couldn't tell the man off. Instead she just stood there akwardly and waited.

"That being said, we will contact you within the week about your tryout. You are dismissed." He waved a hand, and smiled at her. He hoped Eldarion picked her.

King Eldarion made his way up to his throne and called a guard to summon his Master Archer. The guard bowed deeply, and exited the throne room.
--
Vladrieth had just saddled her white horse to travel and was mounting. Grimgaw waited wordlessly for her. They had finished posting up the ads around Minas Tirith and were now on their way to the three-hour ride to Anfalas. They packed only a little water and salted meats, since the two had consumed only a light breakfast that morning before traveling.
Just as the archer was comfortable on the saddle, she saw a guard waving an arm at her. Vladrieth grabbed the reigns of her horse and waited. Finally, the man caught up to her and spoke so quickly she hardly caught what he was saying. Frowning, Vladrith flipped her hair out of her face and turned to face the frantic guard. "What?"
"King Eldarion needs to see you. I think it's about the..." The guard looked around, seeing common citizens caring for other horses, he leaned in closer to whisper, "the quest."
She stared at him without expression, "Did you give him Barahir's report?"
"Yes, right before he sent me to find you, actually."
Vladrieth sighed and turned to Grimgaw, "Wait here, please. I will be back." She grumpily slid off her horse and handed him the reigns. Hastily, she headed back to the castle.
---
While Vladrieth was on her way, Eldarion sent more guards out to find the other two who passed Barahir's inspection. If his calculations were right, they'd all arrive here just in time. What was the most baffling thing to him: All of the adventurers were women. He considered sending Barahir, but then he figured with the health of the man's father, it would be wise to leave him here in case his skills were needed.

Caladar (faith world) Dhowyn (falcon musican)
A Elven healer/cleric. Very shy and has a huge problem with being attracted to shiny objects (LOL reminds me of a friend of mine.)
Frodo Gardner Gamgee
Sone of Samwise, he was named after his father's best friend, whom he vaguely knew as 'Uncle Frodo' when he was child. Now he is all grown up and ready for an adventure like Samwise used to tell him about.

Battle for Rivendell
Most recent OOC posts in Battle for Rivendell
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
I've tried, some of you tried, but this isn't getting off the ground again. I'm going to have to let it close. I'm sure you all saw it coming though XD
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
So we need more people or more characters. Or both. Preferably male-characters for balance because right now our adventure team is composed of three women. So I'm going to as the GMs of my other RPs if I can advertise on the OOC boards (since the regular forum isn't making any difference) because I still thinks it's a good original plot, and I don't think two people leaving should kill it.
If you know anyone who you might think is interested please ask them to come and check it out.
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
I'm thinking I could turn Barahir into an NPC and just play him myself and skip the tryouts and just get the RP out and started already.
Because we have one of almost every class and that's fine, I'd just feel better having more. And I'm going to have to talk to a few people about their posting, because there is a lack of work effort, which was part of what caused this to happen.
But in the meantime, I'm sick today, and upset because I had to miss a dissection in Anatomy and Physiology.
Then I will do some recruiting and hopefully this plot won't die.

Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
Then the RP is going to be down for a while. I have to figure out something to do; you had an important character.
I'll be in touch with you all.

Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
-You're going to be tested on your abilities, so if you're good with weapons, make a grand entrance or something. Or expect a guard (NPC) to come in and start fighting with you. Please, one-post long fight. Or less. If you heal, expect to see someone bleeding on the floor that Barahir will expect you to heal (in various places, somewhere non-vital, somewhere semi-vital and somewhere vital).
-Barahir is going to ask you questions to be sure you can handle the road, so he'll ask if you've ever been out of Gondor (if yes, where?) what kind of terrain do you know the best? Have you ever actually seen battle/blood shed? etc... So while you come in, when you introduce yourself you can answer some of those questions in passing. example: "Hi, I'm Vladrieth. I was born in Rivendell and traveled here over the mountains with my father. I've been on special missions for the king to kill, so I have experience with this sort of mission."
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
What am I asking them? Are they going to have to give a demonstration of skill at arms? Seeing as two characters are waiting, shall I interview them both so that one isn't hangiing around while we go through the other interview?
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
Should have waited really, sorry. I'm really OCD whe it comes to people posting in the wrong place, lol.

Edit: Erm... not sure I can now as you've already posted. My post would come after yours.

Edit: I'm just going to redo my intro. So if anyone wants to read it be my guest so you won't be confused on where my character is and what shes up to.)

Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
That's great about the map Scarlet. It's not really that big a deal to have one up in another tab. but I'm lazy ;P
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
OH I kind of want to be a writer to but thats not the main thing im going for. Yay college....! Well hopefully my brain will start working again tomorrow. *sigh* good night. (wait why did I say that. Its not like im going to get a reply on that tonight...)
Re: [OOC] Battle for Rivendell
Edynol: We aren't posting like we have already met, but rather like we're all in Gondor (Minas Tirith, but I am referring to it simply by the City of Gondor.) Because the Shire is all the way north of Rivendell, so, based on the plot it would take you a long time to get down here to meet us when we take off to save Rivendell.
Or, I can let you start in the Shire, and just have you travel your way down and meet us on our way over. But if you want to do that I will have to tell you some plot things your hobbit must encounter and warn us about.
I am sure you already have, but the intros that have already been posted are the perfect kind of setting/idea I want. Everyone's just kind of out doing every day things before King Eldarion gives his WANTED notice for Champions.
We the companions won't meet officially until we've been selected by the king. All of us (with the exception of Vladrieth and Bogwoppit's charry, only because of their positions of power, and 1. Vladrieth doesn't know she's going on this mission and 2. The two have also probably never spoken more than two words to each other outside of Gondor business.)
