The town of Griswood is a modern town by the standards of the time with an industrial complex, steam powered vehicles, a train station and steam powered robot helpers. It is on the border to Candyland, a mysterious place made of sweets. It seems that the impossible was made possible somehow but many people cannot explain its existence as well as how its residents which are mostly stuffed animals are even able to move. Some think it might be magic that the candyland witch, one of the only few human residents of candyland, used. For generations, there are rumors that if kids wander off into Candyland and eat from it without the witches permission, then the witch will eat the kids. Some people think these are only stories to keep kids away from Candyland. There are also rumors that the witch eats naughty kids but it is unknown if this is also just a story to keep kids from being naughty.
But every year kids do disappear. No one really knows the witches identity nor will the woman who runs the local candy store, the only place where candy from Candyland is sold, say. But one day a group of kids are dared to enter Candyland and explore it, but weird things start happening as one of them eats a candied apple from a candied apple tree. They start to notice that the living stuffed animals are able to talk and that the human residents of Candyland arent as sane as they seemed to be. Will they ever find their way out of Candyland? Will they be forced to stay? Or will the witch really try to eat them?


Candyland: Candyland is a colorful place with a lemonade river, candied orchards, a chocolate forest, ice cream mountains, a marzipan desert, a gingerbread castle, an orange-sour volcano, a cookie road and licorice grass. The beings that live there arent dangerous and are mostly stuffed animals. There are some steam robots and human residents there but not many. Normally when kids eat from Candyland, they never return to their homes.

The witch: Her identity is unknown but some think she might be an evil old woman who knows her ways with magic or that she may be a friendly grandmother like figure. The stuff animals hint that the witch is a beauty but not much more is said. She is rumored to eat naughty children or children who eat from candyland.

Other beings to watch out for:
-The mechanical ent: A steam-powered talking robot that resembles an ent (a walking tree). He is very emotional.
-The friendly bear: A friendly but somehow creepy stuffed animal
