A young vampire, tormented and living in fear.
Laisha is a very quiet child. She has no friends or family. She has never opened up to anyone in recent years and for very good reason. She has a pure heart and is very kind to anybody. Be they rich or poor, human or not. She does not talk to many or smile. She keeps to herself and lives in fear of the current king and his soldiers. Laisha can not bear to see others in pain. She will go to great strides to help a person. Though she takes blood from others to live, she constantly feels guilty after doing so and has been known to leave notes of apology on her victims laps. This may be part of the reason why they has only rarely been with hunts called by her victims.
A single loose fitting outfit. It's ripped in some places and the shirt is a bit to big for her. The collar slips off her shoulder sometimes.
A single small dagger. She swiped it off a sleeping drunk one night, it is rough and dull but helpful all the same. She cuts her hair with this.
3-4 lorath, or enough money for about a months worth of purchasing food. To be used in emergencies only
An silver necklace with a pendent of Mealis. Given to her by a priest of a small temple. Her most cherished belonging
Laisha was born to a vampire family of noble blood. A member of one of the very powerful vampire families she was very well cared for. Her parents were of a minor branch but still well respected. They did not spoil little Laisha and living in a human city tried to teach their daughter how to live peacefully and blend in with society. She loved them very much and lived an innocent life, oblivious of the turmoil taking place in the city.
Her innocence and life was shattered when her small estate in the inner city was shattered by the kings soldiers when she was 7. Under orders of the king and false charges of treason they stormed her house and slaughtered the entire population of the house. The servants, the children, her parents. None were spared by the soldiers. After the blood bath the house was set on fire and the children were rounded up. They were slowly killed and tortured for games on the grounds of her burning house. A small local temple however stepped into put out the fire and one of the priests stumbled upon the games in the backyard. The soldiers were semi religious and at his shocked orders the priest rounded up the three surviving children. Two of whom later died of their injuries. Rather by sheer luck or divine intervention, Laisha was the only child who survived.
Knowing full well the weight and risks of his decision the priest took the young vampire in as a charge of the temple. She was raised here for a year under the watch of the temple. She was educated and taught to be a servant of Mealis. She excelled in her studies but talked very rarely, and was easily brought to tears. Her existence infuriated the king but being a charge of the church she was untouchable. It took a year and a half of political maneuvering but finally she was able to be touched by the soldiers. They stormed the temple and she was taken to a hidden exit. The priest took off his pendent and pressed it into her hand. Giving her one last tear full hug he released Laisha into the streets. The temple was raised but no body ever showed up. To cover themselves the soldiers took back the burned body of another child and declared it to be her. They were believed and finally the chase to hunt down Laisha came to a close.
She has since been living as a vagrant in the wall district. Scraping by as best she can. Dodging soldiers or witch hunters. Finding the occasional warm welcome, but only her tears as company.
