Heresy, the main Kingdom in the world of Silencio. On one side, the village, made up of the regular citizens. And on the other side, the Castle, were the nobles and those seeking highness take refuge. But the King Harro's Castle is not as safe as it first appears to be. You must pay for the nobility that you seek, and the price asked is often much higher than you are willing to offer. Every free man that enters the Castle must be either own or be owned; once you are inside its walls, the Castle will not feed one who does not belong.



The village's people know of the cult that goes on inside the Castle; few are prepared to follow through with it, and even less actually attempt it.



Here's how it goes: imagine that you are a free man or woman of the Kingdom, and that you decide to go and live in the Castle. The guards will not stop your entry. They will not push you back as though you were a cur and throw you back into your filth. At least not at the start. But if, within the first week of your arrival, you have not found a noble prepared to buy you, you will go right back to where you started, whether you like it or not. Without the seal and the mark of the noble who has bought you, you will be denied food by the kitchens. You will be prevented from requisitioning a room. You will sleep on the floor, and you will starve – unless you find a noble willing to vouch for you. That means you have to convince them. Convince them that you have something to offer them that they, in their magnificent and opulent wealth, do not already have. The nobles know what they want – and more importantly, they know exactly what you have and do not have to offer.



Think carefully. In Heresy, a pretty face and puppy eyes will not get you fed. Only certain things are as valuable as money is here. And while you mightn't be prepared to give them away, ultimately, if you truly wish to survive, there is only one choice left for you to make.
