Year is 2181 and 5 years have past since the major battle for the Hoover Dam.The NCR have kept using the dam for electricity since it is one of the few places that can still generate such energy in such times.The Courier still is around,but no one has seen him since the battle for the dam.Some say the NCR have him in captivity for some reason unknown while others believe he is hiding underground with the Remnants of the Enclave.His whereabouts are a mystery.

A new group has come to the Vegas area under the name of "The Claw".They are former Brotherhood of Steel and want to make a new life in the Vegas region.The NCR like to believe they are befriending Caesar's Legion and vice versa. This is where you come in.Will you join up with the NCR or Caesar's Legion to take down this new group or be a lone wanderer traveling the Mojave Desert looking for a purpose? Either way you may be the new difference for the Vegas region just like the Courier was obtaining the Platinum chip.
