Unfortunately, what Dr. Kline could not predict was where all of the poison would go. That is, until the First Cured-Birth. The whole world watched as two beautiful children were born safely, with no visible abnormalities between them. As the children got older, they were passed on and deemed successful, and the genetic mutations were made available to the public. It seemed, however, that the remedy enhanced the potential of twins. There had not been a single Cured-Birth where only one child was born. And, as each set of twins grew, it was clear that their personality traits were very different. While one child helped an elderly woman with her groceries, the other tore holes in all of her bags. Similar scenarios were being seen throughout the country. One twin expressed kind, peaceful, traits, while the other expressed more sinister ones. The world was quickly becoming more chaotic, and a solution needed to be proposed immediately.

So, the Amber Rebellion began, silently. There were many divisions hidden throughout the US, with many supporters and funds from throughout the world. They planned to insert themselves into the camps, whether as workers or children themselves, and break it down from the inside. Many recruits were new parents who had born Cured children, and had no choice but to send them to the camps. They became factory cooks, or teachers, or counselors for the evil twins. The Amber Rebellion moved slowly, with the goal being to get as many mature twins out and free as possible, without alerting those doing the Sorting. If they could get enough, they could show the rest of the world that there were no good or evil twins, there were only humans who had been surrounded by a paranoid country. Like with any rebellion, the end was far from sight, and there were many ideas on ways to better the movement. Many groups failed to extricate any mature twins, and got themselves executed for treason in the process.
In the end, it was too risky for adults to infiltrate the camp without suspicion, and almost every camp employee was replaced with a government official to ensure top security. The only way to change things was through the twins themselves.
There was only one way to find out. The twins needed to remain undetected until the Sorting, so they could finally be free of the camps.
Again, the Amber Rebellion had hope. If they could get the twins to make it through the Sorting, then they could join the Rebellion as living proof that the rest of the world had to see. There was more to them than some genetic disease. Leaders of the Mistakes were chosen, with one single mission: stay unseen.
