Daisuke Sohma's Story

Daisuke woke up his alarm buzzing at him to get out of bed. How he hated that thing, it was his seventh one all the others were thrown against a wall. Hitting off button and rubbing his had after sitting up. "Damn that was a good dream" not that it was different than most of his dreams. Fighting, money and most of all women. A few of them all in his bed and the best part was that he didn't become a god damn animal when he had embraced one. That was the most frustrating thing, to be called an animal and not in a good way. The girl he could touch and hold he couldn't even talk to without getting flustered and acting like an ass. But at least he was going to be able to see her today.

For whatever reason they were summoned, those that carried the weight of this curse, to meet with their "god". The term pissed him off, such a weakly being head of the family, the center of everything. Man did Daisuke want nothing more than to beat him up but never dared to try. Showering before slipping on black jeans, navy blue button up and black jacket with white fur around the hood. He always dressed nicer when he was going to the main house. He dressed well normally but did himself up a little bit extra today.

He set out and arrived at the meeting only to be dismissed just as quickly. "Man what a pointless morning this was. Woke up early for nothing" he voiced his complaints as he approached Ichirou and smirked. "Yo, let me bum one off of you will ya" Gesturing towards the pack of cigarettes as he always did whenever he was at one of the meetings. "Pretty lame huh seemed sort...or maybe I fell asleep" chuckling slightly though it wasn't true at all even he would disrespect Rin. His eyes never left the doors as he leaned against Ichirou's car, waiting to catch a glimpse of the one he really came to see.

Keiko looked at Rin, her eyes filled with concern. “What hurts? Do you need medical attention? I can get someone or call someone if you need me to,” Keiko said, fumbling with her things. “You shouldn’t wait so long to tell people if you’re in pain. It could end up badly … do you need some medicine?” Keiko glanced at her watch, not sure whether she would be late to school or not. “Masuyo! Masuyo,” she said, rushing to the hallway. “Masuyo-san, can you please go and get some of Rin’s medicine? On second thought, please stay with her. I have to get to school, Yoko-san,” she said, stopping another maid, “Can you please go and get Rin’s medicine?” Keiko ran back into the room, bowing deeply to Rin. “My deepest apologies, Rin, but I have to hurry off to school. I promise to come after school as soon as I can to check on you.”



Ichirou smiled as Kohaku passed by, sending him a good morning. “Good morning Kohaku, nice to see ya. Need a ride?” Then Daisuke popped up.

"Yo, let me bum one off of you will ya," gesturing towards the pack of cigarettes as he always did whenever he was at one of the meetings. "Pretty lame huh seemed sort...or maybe I fell asleep," he said, chuckling slightly.

Ichirou smiled at his friends as he held the pack towards him. “Knock yourself out, kid,” he said, taking another puff of his own. “Tell me about it. I hate these things. Especially when they make the kids late for school. I don’t really care about being late for work, but I mean, people like Keiko can’t afford to miss school.” As if on cue, Keiko walked out of the main gate looking worried. “Hey Keiko, what’s wrong?”

“Just worried about leaving Rin alone is all …” Keiko smiled at Ichirou, holding her breath.

“Sorry,” Ichirou said, throwing his cigarette onto the floor, stomping it out and waving away the smoke. “Ready to go? I was thinking later we could go to the park and do some star gazing if you wanted. Of course it would be after you do your homework.” Ichirou pat Keiko’s head, smiling.

“Sounds like fun,” she said with a smile. “I might have student council duties after school.”

“That’s okay … I’ll pick you up.” Ichirou opened the door for her, looking up at Daisuke. “You feel like tagging along?”

He laughed some after lighting the cigarette and shook his head. "Please they like getting off school, every kid does" his eyes fixed onto Keiko, such a perfect little brat. Always kissing up to Rin like it was her job. Yet has never seen her be so perfect around the Cat. A slight head nod was all she received from the trouble maker before moving away from Ichirou's car and waved slightly. She was lucky though if they had been alone he might of blown the smoke in her face. For the sake of it just being to early in the morning however he stopped himself from doing such a crude act.

"No I'm good I think I'll just walk." He's fingers locked behind his head as his attention turned to Kohaku. He didn't even notice him there. "Hey Haku where could I find some grub around here? After all I did have to rush over here to get to this meeting. Missed breakfast on the" that was a lie. He didn't rush, in fact he was one of the last to arrive. But he had his reasons to stay around the main house. "I bet you sneak in the kitchen and eat all the sweets" a devilish grin formed as smoke came from his nostrils. Trying to intimate the 'boy' into giving in and getting some food for Daisuke.

Rei Shinobu Sohma

Rei sighed as they were dismissed from the meeting. Thank goodness. She didn’t mind Rin and all, but those meetings where essentially the only change she had to screw up and she knew herself enough to know it would happen one way or another if she spent to long in Rin’s presence…it seemed like God wanted to see her mess up…She sighed again and shook the thought from her head.

She saw Keiko, Ichirou, Haku, and Daisuke standing around. Keiko and Ichirou where leaving and Daisuke was picking on Haku. Rei grinned as she skipped over, her bubble-gum pink hair flowing around her. She stopped in front of Daisuke and plucked the cigarette out of his mouth.

“Don’t you know smoking is bad for you Daisuke-chan?” She said with a for-shame look on her face before she grinned again and took a drag of it. She wasn’t an avid smoker, she only did when she was stressed, like at the meeting earlier.
“Why you picking on poor Haku?” She asked with another cheeky smile. She patted Haku on the shoulder.


Youko Rose Riyashee

Youko woke with a start, to the buzzing of her alarm clock. Time for work. She yawned, stretched, and got out of bed. A half and hour later she was showered and dressed in her uniform. She looked in the mirror. Her long purple hair fell in a neat braid down her back, and she wore a mid thy high black skirt and a white blouse with black stiletto heeled boots. She shook her head.

“Damn I look good” She said with a grin before she grabbed her red leather jacket and headed out the door to work. She grinned when she saw her old yellow junker beetle waiting for her. After a few failed attempts to start, she got her going and headed to work.

The Phuk Et, where Ko worked, wasn’t anything fancy. Just a small mom and pop bar and grill, but there was great service and awesome food….and honestly she all but ran the place so she didn’t have to worry about being late. She showed up and was greeted graciously with loud hellos and whistles. She shook her head and grinned.

“Oh good you’re here, table four needs service and our little intern is seriously not doing a good job.” Sandry her American co-worker said in a rush. The girl she was referring to frowned and looked like she was going to cry as a customer complained about the food. She smiled gently and touched the girls shoulder.

“Don’t worry about it, none of us get it right the first time….and Gus you quit giving this girl a hard time…the meal is on the house now shut up and eat” Youko said with a mock frown at the customer. He laughed and turned away.

“Just go bus tables six, seven, and ten okay?” she said as she headed to serve the customers at table four.

A blush formed "Look who's talking" daisuke said back with a smile. He hardly ever bullied or even tried to bully her. He would smile say snappy but playful regards to something and that would be as far as he would take it. But rei was a playful spirit and the chances of it going further into a sparring match was high. Taking back his smoke and one last pull before tossing it to the ground. "I'm not picking on him just toughing him up right" patting Haku on the back rather hard.

His eyes shifted back to rei her curves,those eyes, even the hair seemed to work nicely with each other. A pleasing sight for daisuke indeed. A slight smile formed again as if he was trying to appear even more handsome than he already was."would you rather me pick on you? Make you show me where I can get some food. Hmm? We all know you need to toughen up just as much as Haku"

Looking to the innocent Haku again as he crushed the lit end of the still burning cigarette. Naturally he would of but him in a headlock until he yelled mercy. But it was to early for that nonsense, his stomach even agreed as a loud deep growl came from it. Daisuke covered his stomach with his hand. "Damn I'm starving" that's what he got for wakeing up late in the first place.

A blush formed "Look who's talking" daisuke said back with a smile as he took back his smoke. "I'm not picking on him just toughing him up right" patting Haku on the back rather hard. He looked at Rei for a few moments longer than neccissarry and it made her blush, but she blew it off. Not as though she was anything special...just a monkey. The thought made her laugh.

"would you rather me pick on you? Make you show me where I can get some food. Hmm? We all know you need to toughen up just as much as Haku" He said jokingly.

"You know better than to pick on me...we both know i could kick your butt, and i wouldnt want to embaress you infront of Haku here..." Rei said with a laugh.

"Damn I'm starving" He complained.

"Dont be such a weenie Daisuke-chan...hmm...where is a good spot to eat?...My apartment is near by, i can whip something up if you'd like?" Rei said with a grin, not sure if he was going to take the offer.

Taiga yawned and stretched as he left the meeting. It was a good day so far; the meeting had gone smoothly and he'd gotten the offering box of the shrine cleaned up. Now he just needed to go back and finish cleaning the ablution pavilion. Pausing in his thoughts as he reached the small gathering of Juunishi at the gate.

Smiling, he pushed his white hair out of his face and waved. "Good morning! You'd all better hurry if you want to get to school and work on time! Also, if you're hungry afterward, you can always stop by the shrine for a snack. I should have some ready by then anyway, so feel free to stop by. Classmates are welcome too so long as you're careful." he waved again as he passed the group, heading back to the shrine.

Within a couple minutes he had arrived, panting slightly from the quick pace he had taken up the steps to the Torii gate. Frowning slightly as he realized the branches of the trees on either side of the gate were beginning to encroach it, he shook his head and continued forward, making a note to deal with it later.

"Good morning, Suki-chan!" he waved to the girl who, he noted, was standing in the yard with an empty bird cage. "I take it the bird is doing much better today?" he smiled as he headed around to the back of the shrine, where the living quarters were.

Little more than five minutes later he was back in the yard wearing a white keikogi and a gray-green hakama and carrying a broom. He quickly set to work sweeping the ablution pavilion. "Suki-chan, you ought to hurry if you're going to make it to school on time. I'll have snacks waiting when you return. Any requests?"



Torako yawned as he got up. Glancing at the clock, he cursed. He'd overslept and was going to have to either rush his trip to the shrine or rush breakfast. Sticking some bread in the toaster, he rushed through his shower and got dressed in his usual red t-shirt, black jeans, and black jacket. Grabbing his toast, cell phone, and wallet, he pulled on a pair of black sneakers as he rushed out the door.

Turning left from his house, he jogged to the turn in the street and left again to go up the flight of stairs to the shrine. Finishing off his toast, he brushed crumbs off himself and headed up the steps. Patting the inside pocket of his jacket to make sure his composition notebook was still there, he sighed in relief. At least he wouldn't have to worry about that today, though he silently cursed himself as he realized he was still wearing his glasses. Waving at the white-haired boy that was sweeping the pavilion, he found himself blushing as he spotted the equally light-haired girl also standing in the yard.

"Um," he took a chance, "excuse me, miss, but are you by any chance going to the university for morning classes?" she looked about the right age to him, so he thought he'd at least try to ask. If nothing came of it, then he'd just make his offering and go on his merry way. "Oh, I'm Torako Toushi, by the way. I go to the music composition portion of the university." he bowed slightly, a rather formal greeting mostly just because he was on the shrine grounds.

Rin felt her lips tighten into a thin line as the female beside her rambled on. Now Why did her heart seem to tighten as well with pain and-...
'What.. is this feeling?' She questioned, but quickly caught up with reality as she felt the slight shift beside her.
The rat raced to the hall, causing her to tsk slightly. Really, why bother.. If she was dead, she was sure they would all celebrate.. Stupid keiko.
“Masuyo! Masuyo,” she said rushing to the hallway. “Masuyo-san, can you please go and get some of Rin’s medicine? On second thought, please stay with her. I have to get to school, Yoko-san,” she said, stopping another maid, “Can you please go and get Rin’s medicine?”
With that, Rin observed the maids with a heated look causing them to cringe in hesitance. But with no choice, they both stepped forward and huddled around her, pampering her like always.. 'fakes..'
All the maids were, and they didnt even try to hide their fear or disgust when they look at the others including herself. That is why most disappear from the main house within weeks.. She couldn't have them looking at her family like that.. With that irritating thought, she focused her attention on keiko, her anger growing.
“My deepest apologies, Rin, but I have to hurry off to school. I promise to come after school as soon as I can to check on you.” Taking a short glance at her, she saw her white hair turning the corner, leaving her alone with a few other members. "Don't bother.." She mumbled to herself, before calmly taking in the medicine the maids were handing her. Pills after pills. Still no help, it only hid the pain. An illusion. What makes it worse is that the maids knew nothing but what they were told. Useless. Deciding to give herself to someone more reliable, she began Looking around until she spotted a familiar doctor and with a mere knowing glance, the male walked forward. Tatsou the dragon zodiac, and her family medic.
"What is it rin." The man dismissed the maid, who in turn left happily. "It hurts." She repeated, actually not sure where the pain was coming from.
Frowning, Tatsou kneeled beside her and rested a hand on her forehead then her lungs with a look of consideration. "Where."
"I don't know.." She replied, and with that, the dragon drew back his hand. "Well after everyone leaves, ill assist you.."
And with no response, she waited for all to leave, and slowly her room emptied...
Feeling his fingers wrap around her lung area, he told her to breath slowly like the normal procedures- but she laid a hand on his own, stopping him from any other motion. "Yes?"
"Watch them."
"....Alright." "Now." Ryuu studied her expression only to find- nothing. Seeing no point in talkign her out of it, he stood up and ordered maids to watch her. He never knew what she was going to do... who knew if she was planning some scheme. "..."



Kohaku shook his head politely ,beaming a soft smile. "Thanks for the offer though." However she saw him turn his attention on his favorite and supposedly most prefered zodiac.. Keiko. The rat.
Giving her half a nod, she stopped mid-way when she noticed the ram descending from the stair way with trouble lingering around him. 'ugh..' Really- Hey Haku where could I find some grub around here? After all I did have to rush over here to get to this meeting. Missed breakfast on the" that was a lie. He didn't rush, in fact he was one of the last to arrive. She replied blunty, her eyes studying his espression, not liking how he grinned. Trouble.

She sighed. Double trouble. But she inwardly grinned, when she saw bloomings of red on the ram's cheek. Her red and usually emotionless eyes, gleamed with michevous. Oh..she was going to enjoy this. Pondering on what she was going to do, she continued to watch the interaction, and resisted to grab his hand and twisting it around.
"Dont be such a weenie Daisuke-chan...hmm...where is a good spot to eat?...My apartment is near by, i can whip something up if you'd like?" Rei said with a grin, not sure if he was going to take the offer.
Ah hah. Polietly smiling, he stepped into the conversation. "Please wait a second Rei." Swirling on hs heels, he sprinted towads the main house and leaped over the wall, leading to the kitchen. Looking around, she entered and opened a small fridge, which revealed a small cake with all 12 zodiacs. What a waste.. she wanted to eat it so badly.. but it was going to be worth it. Plucking off a few things, she boxed it, and with the same grace, she returned within seconds. "Here have some desert later." She said, with an innocent face, before handing it to the boar. what a nice thing to do, but if anyone knew Kohaku, it would have appeared strange and almost rare for her to give away a cake, just like that. But maybe she was being nice? "Look at the cake Daisuke, its special.." She teased quietly, her tone barely noticable. Eagerly, she nodded towards the box, and wondered what his reaction was going to be.

A maid entered the kitchen, dropping some dishes on the table, only to see 10 peculiar objects. "Oh its the zodiacs- hm..? Where is the boar and the monkey... ah well...- wait..WHERE IS MY HEART CHOCOLATE!"

The cake was covered in white fondate, and was rather plain, however on the top, laid a ram and a monkey, both close together, maybe too close? And under was a heart chocolate that was gently pressed in the cakes surface.

Ryuu massaged his temples as he stepped outside in the hall. Really. He couldnt think of a damn reason why he had to go to that highschool. He was already a house doctor, and being how busy he was, he didnt know how he'll work this out.. He had no choice anyways..
Making his way to the front of the house, he saw a couple of zodiacs in the distance. "..late for class.." He murmered, but he didnt bother to go to them. ".." Lifting his cell to his ear, he waited a moment then began to speak. "Hi, I was wondering if they're any teacher spots avalabile-"

Yoshino woke up during the early hours of the morning, early enough to sit and enjoy watching the sun rise before she thought about preparing for the long day ahead of herself. She was in the shower when she heard her fellow Sohma's, or at least the one's she lived at the Shrine with, get up and begin their own day.

This was her cue to get a move on and she quickly finished up, dried off and got dressed in the high school uniform she was required to wear. By the time she was ready to leave her room she had dried her white-pink hair and placed the long strands in two loose ponytails below her ears and her school blouse and skirt were perfectly creased in all the proper areas. A quick glance in her mirror told her she was good to go and, without another moment's hesitation, the Tiger of the Zodiac grabbed her school bag, shoved her feet into her shoes and confidently strode from the room.

She had a meeting, then school, to attend.



After the meeting, Yoshino tiredly rolled her piercing red eyes as she stepped from the large house the 'God' lived in. How she hated to enter that place, to sit under Rin's cold glare as she made sure that everything in the Sohma family was in order. That thought sent shivers down the confident teenager's spine as she quickly left the porch of the detested building behind her and came upon the group that gathered at the gates though she didn't stop much longer than a moment as she called to the others who would be attending school with her.

"See you at school!"

She kept walking as she half-turned to shoot a cheerful smile and wave at the others before continuing on to attend classes. This was just how Yoshino was; confident, cool yet kind, and determined to always be on time. Sure, she didn't like being alone but being late certainly trumped that any day.

When she offered to cook he smiled. "Tsst well I guess since you're offering" still trying to act cool but was a bit happy on the inside. "I don't have work today do you" his eyes shifted to her. But his attention was drawn away when Haku decided that now was a good time to interrupt them. It made him growl slightly as the boy ran off.

He waved to the other leaving and started to tell rei about one of the street fights he was in. Explaining how it was two against one, one of the losers had a knife. But it didn't matter he was able to knock them both out with ease. Gloating and trying to impress her with his fighting skills.

When Haku returned with the cake he raised a brow. Though he was easy to pick on he rarely did something like that unless daisuke was twisting his arm. "So there was some sweets, lets take it back to your place rei we can eat after breakfast and not share it." He grinned as he opened up the top. If it was a cartoon blood vessels would of popped up all over his head a smoke from his nostrils. His cheeks where as red as his eyes. A moment later he had haiku in a vice like head lock."you think that's funny punk I'll show you something funny!" His knocks rubbed into the top of haku's head giving him a nuggie.

"Tsst well I guess since you're offering. I don't have work today do you?" Daisuke replied.

Haku ran off a moment before she could invite him along. She shrugged not paying much attention to what the boy was up to.

Daisuke started telling her about one of his fights with two guys and a knife. She grinned and listened to his heroic acts.

“Bet I coulda kicked their butts and yours too, with my hands behind my back” she boasted with a grin, just joking.
Haku returned with the cake and immediately Rei was suspicious.

"So there was some sweets, lets take it back to your place Rei we can eat after breakfast and not share it." He grinned as he opened up the top. If he could have looked any more embarrassed or angry Rei had never seen it. He looked like blood vessels where going to implode all over his forehead. His cheeks where as red as his eyes. A moment later he had haku in head lock yelling "you think that's funny punk I'll show you something funny!" before he gave the younger boy a nuggie.
Rei peeked over the edge of the box and grinned.

“Aww how thoughtful Haku” Rei said with a devilish grin, enjoying Daisuke’s embarrassment way more than she should. Deep down her she was feeling a little bit embarrassed but she wasn’t one to show it.

“But are you sure you aren’t mistaking the monkey for the chicken?” She said with a grin.

“I think your jealous and you like Daisuke, almost as much as I do” she said with a laugh.

“Anywho, I’m heading home, you coming Daisuke? By the by your welcome to come too Haku…” Rei threw over her shoulder as she started sashaying down the street.

Youko yawned as she cleared her 13th table.

"Break time?" she asked herself as she looked around the near empty resteraunt.

"Indeed" she said answering her own question as she sat down at a table near the window.

Keiko got into the car carefully, trying not to crush the papers in her bag. Once she was in, Ichirou slammed the door shut, out of habit. "Good morning! You'd all better hurry if you want to get to school and work on time! Also, if you're hungry afterward, you can always stop by the shrine for a snack. I should have some ready by then anyway, so feel free to stop by. Classmates are welcome too so long as you're careful." he waved again as he passed the group, heading back to the shrine. Ichirou sent a quick wave and nodded back at Haku.

Keiko waved at Taiga and rolled down her window. "I forgot to say, but hello Daisuke. And hello to you to Rei and Haku. It's was nice to see you all today," she said with a warm smile. She was to oblivious to see anyone else passing by, and rolled up her window.

"And you might want to hurry, Haku, or you might be late." With that, Ichirou hopped into his seat and slammed the door shut. "Ready Keiko?" The younger girl only nodded before Ichirou speed off down the street. Keiko had told him before that it was dangerous to go that fast, but it was one of the few things he didn't really listen to her about. He loved cars and driving fast. That's why he worked with them.

Not to long after, they were parked infront of the school. Keiko quickly got out, seeing some of her friends near the front gate. "Thanks again for the ride, Ichirou. It was very nice of you." She bowed, softly shut his door and ran off. "Hey Aneko," she said, waving to the one closest to her. "Hello Kotone and Shou." Keiko had a thing for hanging out with mostly girls. The only reason Shou was her only really close guy friend was the fact that he was gay. He didn't like touching girls, but he sure loved talking to them. "Did you guys get the homework done?"

Aneko laughed for a moment before trying on a serious face. "Keiko, you worry me."

"Of course we didn't! I would ask you to be polite, but I already know the answer." Shou smiled at Keiko before continuing to gawk at the boys passing by.

"Well, it wasn't that hard. I had it all done within an hour. Hour and a half tops."

Kotone rolled her eyes and sighed dramatically. "I can't sit still for an hour." The girl snuck a glance a Keiko before double-taking. "Keiko, did you sleep last night?"

"Of course I did. I slept like a baby," Keiko lied with a smile. "We should head to class." As soon as the small group entered the gates, it seemed to triple in size. I have to get to class, Keiko thought after a few minutes of saying 'hello' and making small talk. "Well see you all in class!" She burst out of the group, walking quickly to the school doors.



Ichirou was almost to the garage he worked at when he noticed a nice looking place to stop for some breakfast. He parked and got out, checking the place out. When he got in, it seemed pretty empty, except for what looked like a few workers. "Hello?"

Daisuke had froze when Rei teased Haku about liking him. He always forgot Haku was always a girl that dressed and looked like a boy. But way more importantly Rei had said she liked him too. A blushed formed as his arm loosened its grip on Haku and followed the monkey down the street. He had grabbed the cake to bring it along, after all it was given to him. Why should he care if it was for everyone else, or for the head master. He figured he was doing her a favor someone that sick shouldn't be eating sweet. It was the roosters fault anyway for putting such a ridiculous joke to begin with.

As she invited Haku along he wondered if she would accept the invite. He hoped the brat had school. Then again he'd get to nervous if it was just him and Rei to make good conversation. Regardless he followed like a love sick puppy and his eyes skimmed along and down her back for only a moment. He was much more respectable when it came to people he liked. If it was any normal girl he might of whistled or cat called her like a jerk.

Rei could feel Daisuke’s gaze on her and it made her face burn in a good way. She smiled and composed herself before flipping her hair over her shoulder and looking back at the ram.

“You coming Daisuke-chan?” Rei said with a grin as she slowed her walk just a little.

It didn’t take long for them to reach her apartment building. She greeted the doorman with a smile and a wave before she entered and got into the elevator, heading straight to the top. She didn’t have anything fancy, but her one bedroom flat wasn’t bad.

“Welcome to my humble abode” Rei said with a smile as she went strait for the kitchen.

“What do you have a taste for?” she asked as she took off her coat and grabbed her ipod to turn some music on.

Daisuke smiled as he walked into her place, it was the first time he had ever been in there.
"Do you need anymore windows geez how do you sleep during the day" Sitting himself on the couch while blushing. Yawning while she asked him the question. "Uh I guess some egg over easy with bacon and toast." Looking over to her with a slight blush as music started to play. He'd listen without an argument to whatever she put on. "So I guess you don't have work right I think last time I saw you, you where working at that cafe in town. Most of the girls there are cute I guess they made an exception to you"

He of course didn't mean it but he had to keep his act up. Not wanting to be so obvious on his feelings for her. The idea of the rooster came up for a moment. She was a playful spirit like he was and always doing something. But she dressed like, looked like a dude. Daisuke could never go out with someone like that. Not that he was homophobic it just wasn't his cup of tea. People around him would see the couple and think otherwise, it would irritate him to much. He was lost in his own thoughts for a moment the sound of the music brought him back. "That meeting was so dull and boring"

"Do you need anymore windows geez how do you sleep during the day" Sitting himself on the couch while blushing.

"I get up with the sun dear Daisuke" She replied with a smile as P!nk started playing 'Walk of Shame'

"Uh I guess some egg over easy with bacon and toast." Looking over to her with a slight blush as music started to play.

"So I guess you don't have work right I think last time I saw you, you where working at that cafe in town. Most of the girls there are cute I guess they made an exception to you" He said. Rei felt the sting of the off handed insult and tried to shrug it off....but really it had kind of hurt her feelings.

He seemed to get lost in thought and Rei didnt mind because she wanted a few minutes to think herself. He probably was thinking about the chicken...She wondered if he liked the chicken...she didn't see why not....It kinda almost upset her, but then, she realized how dumb that was, it wasnt as if she and the ram had anything anyways. She sighed as she started cooking. Still lost in her own world she started dancing around the kitchen and singing along with the music as she cooked

"That meeting was so dull and boring" He said

"Yeah, they always are" she murmured as she flipped the eggs with grace and ease

He watched her flip the eggs and dance around. His eyes followed her hips before shaking his head and stood up. "Always boring but you where there I guess that's the good part huh?"

Walking over to the kitchen and opened her fridge making himself at home. He took out the cartoon of orange juice he found and looked through her cabinets. Once he found her glasses he took out two and poured the juice. Since there was no sign of Haku he assumed she didn't come along, or she was far behind them. "How do you cook so gracefully. I can't flip an egg without breaking the yoke." His red eyes caught in line with hers before looking away bashfully.

"You said...earlier...that...that well you liked me as much as Haku did...or might. Were you just teasing her or did you mean it." Even though he was nothing short of a badass, he became very sheepish around her. "Just curious you know" he laughed nervously as he faced away from her. " damn did that brat get lost or just not come" quickly changing the subject to Kohaku.

"Always boring but you where there I guess that's the good part huh?" he said as he walked over to her kitchen and got out the orange juice and poured them glasses.

"How do you cook so gracefully. I can't flip an egg without breaking the yoke." His red eyes caught in line with hers before he looked away bashfully.

"Ive been on my own for a while, and i used to cook for my dad, he worked so much that he didn't have time to....when he died and my mom got sick...i had to take care of her too...she's particular about her food." Rei said with a small sad smile. she paused and listened to the silence.

"You said...earlier...that...that well you liked me as much as Haku did...or might. Were you just teasing her or did you mean it." He asked looking seriously embarrassed.

"Does it matter if i do? i mean yes, i do, obvious, but...."

"damn did that brat get lost or just not come" quickly changing the subject to Kohaku. Rei sighed...nope it didnt matter.

"I get the feeling he doesnt like me....so i doubt she''ll show" Rei said cheerfully as she dropped some eggs on a plate.

"Who wouldn't like you? They would be an idiot for not seeing how great you are" he said angered at her comment. Blushing heavily and looked away. "I mean I'm better obviously but still.." He looked towards the eggs she put on the plate and was happy to finally settle the grows coming from his stomach.

He started eating and smiled. "Mmm this is pretty good, I know eggs are simple but they are perfect." Looking to her again. "Hey since you don't want have work you want to....I don't know...hang out. Maybe go downtown or so something. Movies or even pick up those brats from school." Trying to appear more noble than he actually was. "Or the shrines or something" he mumbled to himself ,cursing his poor abilities on asking her on a date. Not like he had much experience girls would want to date him but he couldn't touch them. But this one....this one he could and it made all the difference in the world.
