Name: Lucas Vincent
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Lucas is a man of many secrets, and it is easy to tell by looking at him. Everything about him seems to be, in some metaphorical way, hidden. His eyes – heterochromatic – are blue and brown, but only the blue one is usually visible, its brown twin concealed beneath a curtain of barely-waving blonde hair. The eye that can be seen always sparkles with an odd sort of sadistic mirth, like he would be as likely to give you an affectionate hug as he would be to bite your throat out. His hair is long, falling to his shoulders, mostly straight until it abruptly twists up and around at the bottom. His skin is remarkably pale, stretched out across his powerful, sharp features. His mouth is eternally curled into a cruel smirk. He wears baggy sweatshirts with the hood always turned up and loose jeans decorated with chains, so it can be difficult to tell, but his body – of average height – is packed with carefully built muscle. There is a rumor that he has a pentragram tattooed on his chest. No one has seen him shirtless, however, so it cannot be confirmed. (He does.)
Nationality: American – of Irish descent.
Religion/Philosophy/Beliefs: An atheist. A strict atheist offended by the mere mention of God – he often scoffs at people when they pray.
Personality: Lucas is, all at the same time, an easy person to love and a difficult person to get along with. He is friendly and energetic, always eager to meet someone new or show them around. His sadistic smirk and evil eyes are not the truth of him – he is probably one of the sweetest, most hyper, most entertaining young men many will ever meet. He is everyone’s friend, though he can get a little irritating because he always had energy, and he is always full of mischief. That is where the sadism mostly comes to play – he loves to pull pranks on people, and he almost always gets away with it.
In spite of appearances, however, Lucas does not just get along with
everyone. There is only one basis that he discriminates on – religion. He is a pure atheist, and though he will not outright reject someone who is faithful, those are the sorts of people that find him difficult to be close to. They consider him a friend and he would kill to protect them, but his obvious eye-roll whenever God is mentioned can really get on peoples’ nerves.
History: Lucas does not have much of a history. Raised in a happy family - though his two fathers, Rick and Amos, are not married – he has been comfortable throughout his life. He has been cushioned by science and supported by his fathers, and he has come to a point of extreme confidence in himself. He feels no discomfort stating his own opinions – if someone cannot accept him for who he is, then that’s there problem. He will not change who he is just to please someone else. That is something he learned from his beloved fathers, with whom he lives even now, when he
could stay in the dorms rather than make the hour-long commute from home to school, and back again at the end of the day.
Fears: He is deadly of heights, and of falling. He gets terribly dizzy if he looks down over something – even if it’s just the school pool’s diving board – and he generally faints when someone puts him on a plane.
Likes: Being active, sports, playing pranks, spicy foods, funny-face contests, other people, being in crowds, attention, cracking bad jokes, swimming
Dislikes: Falling, heights, demons, being bored, sitting still for too long, foods with no flavor, boring people
Element: Undetermined
Weapon of Choice: Metal claws, to be attached to one’s fist.
Fighting Style: Lucas has undergone only a little training, so far, so he’s not very good yet, but he has been learning the Tai-Chi and Aikido martial arts styles. Unfortunately, he is easily distracted.
Weaknesses/Personality Flaws: Hyper, rash, and easily distracted, he makes decisions too quickly and forgets them just as fast. He is very opinionated and argumentative when it comes to religion versus evolution.
