Introduction
Many legends run about the world of Vampires, Werewolves, and Witches. However, what most don't know, is that there is truth behind these legends. This truth, happens to have a name, about six to be exact. They are the Elder Leaders that reside within and oversee the order within Haven Hollow and its' surrounding areas.
::Haven Hollow History::
During the 1800s, Haven Hollow was introduced to magic by the coming of a young woman. In the beginning, she used her magic to mostly heal the locals, and bring forth rain for their crops. However, the town folk refused to acknowledge her services as magic, and referred to her as a Doctor. They were never made aware of her climate control, so their opinions on that matter were none. However, there came about a situation where the witch was unable to heal a young child, and the child died. The towns people blamed the witch for the death, as the mother of the child exposed her for use of magic having witnessed the witch brew a potion that allowed the child to die peacefully, free of fever and rash. The town rose against the witch, and attempted to burn her at the stake. This brought about many witch hunts, attempting to rid the world of anything supernatural or magical.
Word spread faster than any fire ever started by man kind within the magical community. All supernaturals alike were on edge, and grew to hate the humans that outnumbered their races. Some rose up in retaliation, and were met with their doom by the sheer number of human protesters. Others secluded themselves and hid their abilities to live a solitaire life of loneliness, albeit, they lived and died as naturally as possible for their kind. However, a select group managed to organize themselves in a way that others thought impossible.
After many generations, the three different races of supernatural were able to look past their differences, and focus on their similarities, for a better life where they could be what they are without hiding, and without having to kill their human neighbors. This group came to call themselves "The Haven". With the magic of the witches, they were able to hide their area from human eyes, and disappear off of the map, so to speak. However, the Vampires and Werewolves had to come together to make a plan for their own existence. Being what they were, they needed humans in order to live. They created a system, laws, for themselves and their children to abide by which would allow them to live secluded while also interacting safely.
Today, The Haven still stands, secluded, and successful. It modernized with time, and continues to do so, following strict laws that are overseen by the Elders of the community.
::Haven Law::
-Witch- Magic was born to heal and create, not doom and destroy. Use wisely, or be judged by your peers for reckless enchantment.
Each new Coven is to present itself to the Elders with their Shadow Book to clarify their purpose and intent, with good reason as to why they should congregate separate from the Haven Coven that resides, while at the same time, pledging their allegiance to the original Haven Hollow Coven.
Upon risk of death, no Haven Hollow Witch is to refuse healing magic to any Haven Hollow resident.
-Info- Witches receive their magic from natural elements; such as, crystals, earth, moon, sun, stars, wind, water, animals. Each witch can usually be found with a familiar of some sort, which will be their physical power source. Removing this familiar from the witch does not completely drain them of power, but it does decrease their amount of power drastically. Covens meet on a regular basis, and usually live together. A Witches blood is poisonous to Vampires. When enchanting, a Witch will go into a trance, and it's best not to interrupt this process, as they have been known to take on different personalities during the process. Not all Witches are "good", albeit their healing powers. Just as humans have good and evil within their kind, so do supernaturals. An "Evil" Witch still obeys the Haven Law, so as to keep their residency, though some have gone rogue. These rogues were hunted and tried for treason against Haven Hollow.
-Vampire- As super strength and healing powers are self serving, any Vampire who uses said strength against any non vampire resident of the Hollow will be tried for treason. No Vampire is to feed off of any supernatural being without first blood bonding themselves to said being. All Vampires are required to register their blood type with the Haven Elders so as to prevent any mass murders among Vampire and Werewolf clans. (Vampire blood is poisonous to Werewolves) Each leader, new leader, of all clans are to register with Haven Elders and attend all gatherings.
-Info- A Blood Bond usually is something that takes place between two vampires who want to pledge their immortality to one another. It is the exchange of blood, by feed. However, the process has also taken place between Vampire and Human, as some Humans have been proven worthy of the knowledge of Haven Hollow, and reside within the community beneath their Blood Bonded Vampires protection. These humans usually serve as a sole food source for the Vampire. Vampire blood is poisonous to Werewolves. Members of each Clan all reside within the same house, though they usually have separate quarters, and live independent lives. Vampires are allergic to sunlight, whichever part of their body is exposed to the sun, turns to ash immediately, and never heals or returns.
-Werewolf- Alpha and Omegas of each pack are required to register with the Haven Elders, and attend all gatherings. Werewolves are not to hunt within Haven Hollow, and are only permitted to do so within the surrounding mountain range, so as to protect their identities. I is preferred, though not mandatory, that werewolves approach all others within the community in human form, as they cannot verbally communicate in the common language when in wolf form.
-Info- Wolves are required to turn daily, so as the avoid the animalistic instinct from taking over their awares. They are free to stay within the limits of the community, but mostly prefer to run the mountain the borders the town. They can feed on anything from animals to humans, usually prefer human.
::Places::
Town Hall- Elders reside here. This is also where all town gatherings, Coven/Clan/Pack meetings are held, and trials.
Hospital- Blood Bank, and normal services are offered here for sick Witches and Werewolves, some Vampires seek care, but most heal themselves. Witches mostly utilize the building as it serves wonderfully for their alchemy practices.
Library- Mostly vampires work here, as they are naturally immortal, their memories are useful to the town adolescents for teaching the ways of the human world.
Electrical Plant- This place is usually quiet, and only kept up with for the purpose of providing power. It is located outside of Haven Hollow's city limits and is kept up by the Werewolves. The city provides power to the neighboring human towns beneath the name Haven Power Inc. It is the towns main supply of financial income.
Slaughter House- The Werewolves oversee this business mostly, as they do all the slaughtering themselves, hunting and what not, and supply the town with fresh meat.
Clover Court (A small street filled with restaurants/clubs for each different flavor and taste)- Different restaurants and clubs to come upon request.
Grocery Store- Mostly Witches occupy the employment of the grocery store, with their magic, supplying the freshest and biggest produce around.
::Plot::
As times have modernized, so have the residents of Haven Hollow. However, a new problem has arose with this modernization. Electrical current waves were picked up by the humans from the community, bringing about unwanted attention. As small groups of human military started poking around the area, The Elders thought they would solve the issue by merely assuming the signals were coming from the Electrical Plant. However, this reason wasn't good enough for them, and they continued to search the area. A young wolf was spotted leaving Haven Hollow by one of the human militants, and the report of the siting was issued. The Elders decided that the modern technology was a danger to their existence, and are currently holding a Gathering within City Hall to vote on whether or not it should be banned from their society to protect their lives as they know it.
