Humanity was all a lie. No religion, no faith, no scientist could have known the truth, and we prosecuted those who did know the truth to a life of shame and shunning. Who could of guessed they were right all along. For over 130,000 years humanity tried to explain their existence and their creation, they turn to religion and faith. Some said we were created of clay, others say the first woman was made of a rib. They tried to justify it, with a divine creator, whether it be a god, or many gods. It's sort of sad they were all wrong. People wanted to have a purpose in life, well we all do, not a good one, but its still a purpose, we were lab rats, and experimentation for them. Nothing could have prepared the population at large for the shock of the message we received on New Year's Eve, for 2013, I remember every twisted word of it, and I write it here, so I may never forget them...
"Dwellers of Observation Colony XIII, you have been our test subjects for the past years, but we regret to inform you, that it must be terminated. This is the final message to be given to you, within moments your existence will end, we apologize for the inconvenience."
(Handwriting Becomes more frantic)
I'm not sure how me and the others survived, but we did, and now I write this, so any other survivors may know of our fate, they are coming. I can feel them scratching at the wall, and can feel them hissing.

The year is 2013, and the world as you know it is over. Earth, or better known now as Observation Colony XIII is a terminated project, and most of humanity has been destroyed. The OC13(Observation Colony XIII) was a experiment run for 130,003 years by a race of aliens, known to survivors as Margules. Horrid Cruel and disturbing in appearance, the Margules stand between 8 and 10 feet tall, with a thin gray layer of unbelievably flexible layer of rigid chitin covering them. On each hand they have 6 long, bony fingers ending in sharp talons. The rest of the Margule anatomy is or appearance is unknown due to the fact they are almost always seen in battle or biohazard suits, which are bulky and heavy. The suits are made of some sort of metal alloy and offers almost full protection, it looks rigid and much like their chitin and is of a dark shade, with specialization colors painted on the pauldrons.

Margule Technology is far more advanced than humans, reaching an age of being able to harvest enough energy from a small and efficient source to create solid energy masses. In short the technology has advanced beyond lasers, so much so that they are now energy projectiles instead. Their weapons are often small and built-into the armor, making them almost impossible to salvage, leaving humans with the lack of a "Taste of their own medicine" advantage.
Margule Technology uses the massive power of an atom splitting, and controls and focuses the energy, but little else is known of their technology. How the atom's blast is controlled is unknown to any survivor, and its a well kept secret of the Margule.
Most of Margulian Tech and Customs are unknown, due to little interaction with the race outside of combat, Survivors in the position to do research are working feverishly to find way to neutralize the Margule threat.
