Many thousands of years ago, when Earth was nothing but a million specks of dust, The people of Jeyy had lived peacefully for thousands of years. It was around this time that the Porthex arrived, an advanced race of people evicted from their native home after a devastating war . They came upon Jeyy and beheld the beauty and innocence of the planet, and they took it upon themselves to protect and nurture the people of Jeyy, to prevent the war's which had ravaged their own lands from blighting this innocent planet.

Yet as is the nature of those with free will, not all of the Porthex shared the same view. There was a tear-away group of Porthex who believed they should take over the planet, make it their new home and wipe out it's native inhabitants. The rift between both groups grew bigger and bigger as arguments raged over the best cause of action to take. Eventually, debate stopped being an option as the tear-away Porthex group - now calling themselves 'Lymini' meaning 'New Children' In their native language - started preparations for the destruction of people of Jeyy.

The Leader of the Porthex, Grand-Magi Aldr Win'rah, saw that war between his own people and the break-away Lymini was inevitable and being both wise and powerful, he came up with a plan. So it was that in order to protect the inhabitants of the planet from the devastating magicks the Porthex could wield Aldr cast a spell around the entire planet, freezing all life on the planet in a single moment of time.

...My hope is that in casting this spell i shall protect the innocence of this planet and it's people. While the spell holds, the planet shall be rendered impervious to all damage. It shall not age a second and all life on the planet will come to no harm. Once i cast the spell, i shall become naught but a vessel for the spell and so i write this to warn you, my friends. The spell will hold only while i survive. You must protect my body from harm until the Lymini have been defeated. Then, you must destroy my body and allow the planet to live once more. Do not grieve for me friends, for i give my life to save a whole planet, as i am confident any of you would without hesitation.

The body of Aldr Win'rah is held in the floating, mountain fortress of the Porthex, (The floating home of the Porthex after they were forced from their planet) which is well hidden and highly protected with a blanket of magicks. The fortress of the Lymini is constructed from metal, built to mimic the natural beauty of their original fortress but appearing more as a silvery stain in the sky, though it too is protected by a huge network of spells.


The Technical stuff

Ok, so now you've read all that, you should have an idea what the roleplay's about.
- You can choose to play as either a Porthex or Lymini (Both are broadly human in appearance, but feel free to experiment with appearance a little)
- You may also choose (though i'd prefer it if these were the minority) to be independent, not getting involved in the war for whatever reason
- The story is set hundreds of years after Aldr cast the spell, and the war is going strong
- When you're on the surface of the planet, nothing can be altered, damaged or even moved. You could cast a devastating spell and not even move a leaf.
- On that note, all characters can cast magic. Some may choose to specialise in a specific type of magic ( e.g healing, fire, water etc). When you cast a spell, it requires energy, and so your powers are not limitless, and you will tire eventually.
- As the Sun has stopped moving, one side of the planet is always light, the other always dark.
- When it comes to weapons, they’re fairly basic, i.e swords, staves, daggers etc. This is because the Porthex have the ability to cast magic, so they never felt the need to create guns, bombs and so on.
