Until, one day, a scientist would discover something that would soon become the key to humanity's survival -- some people were beginning to mutate on a molecular level. While most changes, it appeared, did more harm to the subjects than good, others began to develop abilities most would find miraculous. Super strength, flight, elemental manipulation... just few of many types of 'powers' these people began to develop, most as young as six years old.
The New World Government acted fast, and collected as many suspects as they could. Young adults, teenagers... children. As soon as they were discovered to show abnormal abilities, they were relocated by the government for training.
Though they did receive military training for scenarios such as anti-terrorism, assassination, espionage and much more, the NWG kept them on a short leash. They were a safeguard, used in order to sedate the public into a false sense of security. Unless a rebellion took place, these elite groups of soldiers were to do nothing more than put on a smiling face for the public, remaining law-abiding citizens who take direct orders from the NWG. Lapdogs with a government-issued pedigree.
Some of these people didn't like that. And so, a terrorist group primarily consisting of mutants -- metahumans, as they called themselves -- was established. Government buildings began to fall with fire and rubble, all too similarly to the war that had been the cause of their creation to begin with. Again, morale was beginning to wane.
It is now the year 2039, and the NWG are beginning to gather younger members of their mutant soldiers as a wildcard to send out after their newfound nemesis. However, with the older, more experienced group of mutant soldiers in London, England having been wiped out during a anti-terrorism mission, the government has been forced to pull three of these recruits, shipping them to the country that was once known as the land of Hope and Glory for immediate assistance, despite their incomplete training.
