Eric Murray had just been kicked out of his room again. He wasn't really supposed to be checking himself out in the mirror. He let out a sigh as he made himself comfortable in one of the soft, plush chairs of the Day Room.

A knock came at his door.
"Yes?," the doctor said without looking up from his paperwork.
"Doctor, your patients are waiting for their weekly one-on-one consultation.." a nurse said politely. "Should I call who's first on the list?"
"Yes, yes..."
"Lets see... Heidi Welch! Should I call her in doctor?"
Dr. Schweiger continued working on his paperwork without saying a word.
"Yes nurse. Let her in please," he finally said.
The nurse proceeded to the Day Room.
"Ms. Welch?" she said to Heidi. "The doctor awaits you in his office."

"Morning," he nodded at the other boy, sitting down in the chair across from him.

He said nothing as he took his time to finish a report he was working on, then put down his pen and looked at her calmly.
"Good morning Ms. Welch," he said to her. "How are you? - and, please don't say 'fine', or 'I'm well', as I can already see that you're having a bad day. Rather, please tell me honestly how you really feel. You may even tell me that you hate coming to these weekly consultations with me, if that's how you feel about them."
The setting changes from Lyndmoor Asylum for the Mentally Insane to The Day Room
Stumbling into the Day Room, he pulled away from the security's grasp. "I'm not gonna do anything." he simply stated to the guard who accompanied him on his way from the Seclusion. He honestly didn't understand the precautions they took with him, like they didn't really need to put handcuffs on him. He signed the stupid form, he promised to behave and in exchange he'd get to finally get out of Seclusion. "Adam" the guard called him, as he took a good look around the day room. "Adam, Do you want those off or not?" the guard repeated. Adam smirked and turned around staring at the guard as he took off the handcuffs, he kind of felt bad for the guard. This guy was the longest any guard put up with him, and it may or may not be because this guard was promised a pay raise. "You may leave now, I'm not up to anything if that's what you're worried about. I'm just glad to finally be out." He has really missed normal colorful furniture, the white was getting to him. He wasn't insane, but being in seclusion could easily drive anyone mad.
As soon as the guard left Adam felt more relaxed and took a seat at a nearby table with some magazines carelessly stacked at the center of it. Grabbing one, he settled down int his chair and tried to catch up with what's going on in the world. Looking up from his magazine a few times, he noted that there were a lot less people around Lyndmoor than before he was put into seclusion. The normal ones probably asked to be transferred, and whenever he tried to tell them he was normal and that there wasn't anything wrong with him, the doctors scoffed and prescribed more pills.

"Mornin'." Jack showed a crooked smiled, small talk was never really his thing.
Alas his peace was officially disturbed as another man seats himself at the table. Handcuffs and a guard? talk about a tough time, Jack thought to himself. With trembling hands Jack slid away the cards, which he wasn't suppose to keep, in the single pocket sown onto his shirt. Slyly looked over and examined Adam- his posture, his expressions, and action... almost trying to read him in a way.
Without making eye contact Jack asked Adam, "Did they lock ya away for readin' too many girly magazines?" He snickered at his own joke.

Adam looked up from the magazine that he wasn't reading, and his eyes rested on the young man who just spoke up. Girly magazines? Who did this little runt think he was? The guard left not so long ago, and Adam knew that if he gets just a bit angry, he's prone to accidentally go too far sometimes. The guard would be there in no time, and Adam wouldn't get away with it. So he tried to ignore the comment that the young guy made, and replied with a husky voice "I'm not gonna go back to solitary over a stupid magazine that I'm not even reading." more so to himself, as a reminder that he promised to behave just so he could leave those white wash walls that he hated so much.
"In fact, I'm going to be on the best behavior because I'm not supposed to be here. And I need to get out, because unlike you two young gents, I'm sane." he says before getting up from his chair and walking over to a barred window and looking out. He missed the world, this was worse than a prison, because in a prison you knew you weren't surrounded by insane people. Adam bit at his knuckles as he thought of living the normal life, getting out and going for a swim, or getting a beer at some bar. That what he has to strive for, getting out.

The voices seemed to be screaming- no begging to see a little action- to push limits and see just how angry Adam could get. Jack was far from confident he could get away with it. Griffiths was fully aware of how past events of messing with other patients added time onto his what seems like a never ending "visit".
The whispering pleading won.
"So, word on the street is you hulk out when pissed off" Jack raised an eyebrow accompanied with a sheepish smirk.

"So, word on the street is you hulk out when pissed off" the young guys voice seemed to bounce off every wall in the room, repeating itself in Adam's head. Hulk out? As if, If he could Hulk out he'd be a green hero. But this little shit was getting on his nerves. He felt it coming up, a sort of itch that started in his lower back and forearms, and slowly was crawling up. He suddenly grabbed the bar of the window in front of him, and counted to ten in his head. He couldn't do this again, not when he just got out. He can't go back to solitary, he'd end up insane for real.
But the itch crawled up to his neck, and he couldn't stop it, no matter how hard he tried. As he felt the his body fill up with sudden rage, he held on to the bar, knuckles turning white, teeth grinding against each other. And before he could understand what his body was doing, he was already in front on the young guy who was hunched over the table. Pulling him out of his seat by the back of his shirt "And YOU I've heard were Jack the Ripper of the group, so don't be running your small little mouth. Or I'll shut you up" Adam said leaning in close to Jack's face, towering over him. He knew any moment, they'd be coming for him. So he quickly let go of the younger guy and straightened himself, his eyes never leaving Jack's.

He gathered himself then pointed a trembling finger at him, "Well certainly I'd like to rip your skin from you muscles and make a lampshade for my dearest mother from your hulk-tastic meat sack of a body." Jack retorted in a rather cheerful tone.
Jack reached up and patted Adam on the shoulder, no hard feelings- no feelings at all to be exact. Unkempt hair covered his eager eyes- eager for bloodshed that wasn't his own. Griffiths pushed the thought to the back of his head. He stood with a hunch, quickly pulling out the stolen deck; Jack shuffled through them and held a single card between his index and middle finger.. It was the Joker card- in Jack's mind this was all one big joke to pass the time, and Adam fell for it.

This fucking guy was a joke, he laughed like a complete maniac. This is definitely the best place for Jack, "Well certainly I'd like to rip your skin from you muscles and make a lampshade for my dearest mother from your hulk-tastic meat sack of a body," that remark sent shivers down Adam's body. This young guy, Jack, with such an innocent nice looking face, but with thoughts like that. Kind of sad, actually. As Adam stood there watching Jack's every move, watched Jack pat his on his shoulder. His touch lingered as if he was burnt. He felt as if he was standing in front of the devil himself, when he saw Jack pull out the Joker card from the deck.
He felt the itch returning, and before he could gain control of himself, he was in Jack's face again. Pulling up the guy by the front of his shirt this time, "Not if I take you apart first, and make sure everyone's watching." he said as his slicked back hair fell onto his face. He felt on fire, when he played with the devil himself. The thought terrified Adam, and he felt himself slipping into his mind again. He realized what he was doing, his eyes darting all over the guy in front of him, and then widening. What was he doing, he released the Jack, and jerked backwards. He couldn't look up at that guy, he was driving Adam mad. He stumbled over the table that was nearby as he tried to put some distance between them. And just as he was a good two meters away from Jack, the guard bursts through the door of the Day Room. "FAULKNER!" the guard shouted. And Adam turned to face the guard, fixing his hair in the process. His breathing irregular, he answered "I haven't done anything, You see me hurting anyone here?" looking around the room. And when his eyes almost fell upon Jacks, he looked down. He cannot let the young guy get to him.

Jack was snapped out of his trance as Adam anxiously flung himself back, desperate to create distance between himself and Jacks poorly postured body. Jack eyed the man unsure of why the bizarre shift in mood, or any of his emotions to be fair. Signs of fear- no, confusion- perhaps a mixture of the two were spotted by the young psychopath. Adam was scared not of Jack, but of what Jack was making him feel. He smiled to himself, pleased with the rewarding whispers.
Smiles vanished as the voice of the guard that seemed to be quite acquainted with Adam. Shocking. Judging by the gesture of hair fixing and unusual breathing Adam was subconsciously showing signs of nervousness. Jack made the connection between the two men- it was his last name- no one used Jack's last name... Adam's claims of innocence brought Jack back again once more. His lips twitched as the young guy struggled to old back a grin. Locking eyes with the guard Jack licked his lips and spoke, "Mr. Faulkner threatened my life," a silent sigh, "This behavior is triggering to unstable patients, but by all means if you trust Adam's unpredictable rage I'll spare you the whining guard." Jack's face was blank like a mask, unreadable. His mind humming with conflicting thoughts.

"Well, Adam," he said to the young man after a long silence. "It seems a little time in Seclusion helped you better appreciate the company of your fellow patients? That is good. Now, I need the two of you, Adam, Jack. to come with me." he said as he began walking into a hallway towards the front lobby. "There is no better way to start the day than some hard honest work."

"Mr. Faulkner threatened my life," rang through the room, and Adam's eyes shot up looking straight at Jack. "You filthy liar!" Adam said. "This behavior is triggering to unstable patients, but by all means if you trust Adam's unpredictable rage I'll spare you the whining guard." Adam's eyebrows furrowed as he looked at the events unfolding in front of him. The guard was of course going to believe Jack in this situation. The guard knew Adam, and how unpredictable he sometimes was, so Jack's statement was clearly going to be taken seriously. "Hey, I haven't threatened anyone. You're just a little shit and you fucking know it. I see what you did there, but I'll get you back." he said towards Jack and waited for the guard to respond to his behavior change. As the guard walked over to him cautiously, Adam stared at Jack. He wanted to do horrible things to that young guy, see that pretty little face all messes up. The thought quickly left as fast as it came, Adam didn't want to be thinking about the Jack whilst being in solitary. That could end bad.
As the guard reached to grab his shoulder to take Adam away Dr. Schweiger walked into the Day Room "Well, Adam," he said to the young man after a long silence. "It seems a little time in Seclusion helped you better appreciate the company of your fellow patients? That is good. Now, I need the two of you, Adam, Jack. to come with me." Adam responded with a quiet grunt, not wanting to answer the doctor. And then the guard grabbed his shoulder and forced him to follow Dr. Schweiger towards the front lobby. And as they walked Adam couldn't keep himself from stealing glances at Jack, at first it was almost automatic, then he realized what he was doing. But for some reason he couldn't prevent himself from taking another look. And he hated himself for it.

"These are this month's shipment of foodstuffs for the kitchen. Meat, produce, and various food ingredients that our staff in the kitchen, who work tirelessly to keep you boys and everyone else here well-fed, will be using. Eyes scanning the truck, evaluating the different weights of the boxes and products. Under his long sleeved baggy shirt his sweaty hands clenched, flexing his lanky arms for any sign of possibly being able to lift a single box. Uneasiness overtook him, physical labor or executing tedious tasks was never his strongest point. The mention of food had a monster howling in his stomach, begging to be fed. Feed me Seymour, Feed me! The blank expression cracked into a faint smile.
With sickening pops of his knuckles Jack nodded towards Dr. Schweiger. "Roger that, " he saluted two fingers from his forehead. Alone time with Adam Faulkner, fate is cruel, said Jack's inner monologue.

Walking through the lobby, and into the courtyard was a torture, especially when Adam caught the wink that Jack gave him. He tried to shift further away from the group, but the guard behind him prevented him from putting any distance between Jack and the Doctor. As Dr. Schweiger spoke up when they stopped in front of a heavily loaded truck. "These are this month's shipment of foodstuffs for the kitchen. Meat, produce, and various food ingredients that our staff in the kitchen, who work tirelessly to keep you boys and everyone else here well-fed, will be using. Now, I want the two of you to unload and deliver these to the kitchen. That is good honest work. Once you are finished, you may sit down for lunch at the cafeteria with the others." Whilst he was speaking, Adam looked over at Jack, This guy will make him go crazy if they were left alone. The last thing he was worried about was food, or unloading the truck, he now had to think of ways to keep Jack out of his head.
"Roger that." he heard Jack say, and with that he looked at the doctor with a blank expression. It was as if the doctor wanted him to go mad, leaving him with young lad might just make him go crazy. And wouldn't that just benefit the doc, wouldn't that be nice. He let out a small groan of frustration, his head was too clouded for this. He shifted, and cracked his fingers before walking over to the truck and grabbing the first two boxes in reach.
