"How's everything looking?" Vyndran asked curiously, setting his gunbelt into a more comfortable position.
"Scouts have reported a disturbance to the south. We're waiting for them to move closer before we let our positions be known, but-" Sin'rel was cut off by a clap of thunder.
One of the rebels had stumbled onto the humans by accident, as far as Vyndran could guess, and let off a shot. This shot probably didn't manage to kill anyone, just scare them maybe, and alert them to where the poor fellow was. There was a good chance that now, only seconds later, he was already dead. The humans hated half-breeds and would show them no mercy. Just in case the attack was about to happen Vyndran drew one of his Alchemic revolvers with his left hand and reached into a small pack he carried with him, taking out what looked like a glass grenade with a small flame inside.
"Is that what I think it is?" Sin'rel asked, a little in awe.
"Yep. This is an Alchemic napalm grenade. Just pull the pin and toss it, and by the time it gets over the target, boom! the fire spell goes off, creating napalm, which comes down in a rain over the enemy." Vyndran says with a smile. "I got others, here, keep em safe till you have to use em. And don't hesitate to do so."

"My queen, I have recieved reports of human activity to the north." one of the sentinal Noble Elves said, nowing to his queen. "Should we take action against them?"
"Why are they there?" Queen Alyss asks curiously, "Do we know why? The rebels must be involved. If not, the only thing I could think they'd be doing is setting up a base of them own, but they should know by now that we can very easily change our landscape."
"Yes my queen..."
"Hm...very well, send a small group up to check on things. A group of ten should do, with at least three rangers, although more would be better." Alyss says, thinking. "And send a few Spellguard, just to be case.

There stood two soldiers ready to carry Kanade, the rest had left the cave under Holt's orders and Holt had a bit more distance from Kanade, both so he could run for the exit.
Holt didn't like leaving a man behind, although an alchemist was hard to train and Kanade was so young, she didn't deserve to die like this, though what impressed Holt the most about Kanade was her very mature behavior. For one that young to be so brave was very striking to Holt.
Then Kanade lost consciousness. This was not expected, by neither Holt nor his soldiers as none of them understood how alchemy and magic worked. Acting fast, the soldiers picked Kanade up and ran with whatever speed their legs could muster, through the cave; moments later they had picked her up, the magical detonators exploded, making the earth rumble and shake violently and a shock wave send the soldiers, Holt and Kanade flying through the air. Getting back on their feet, the managed to sprint the last few meters before they reached the end of the cave, one soldier getting hit by a large stone on his angle, breaking it and then a good deal of dust and rocks flying after them.
The cave collapsed inside and the soldiers outside experienced some of the water from the swamp began to overflow and made their shoes wet. "Just what I needed!" Holt roared after having spat out a mouthful of mud and water. Holt had landed with his face first on the ground, and even with open mouth. did it get any better?
"Make a sound if you are alive!" Holt called out, and the soldiers reported back with groans, jokes and comments, such as, "I think there's a bug sucking my blood!...Who is sitting on me!...I think I broke a nail!"
"Good to hear, somebody, give Kanade some water, fresh water for that sake, and then lets get out of here!" Holt called and the wounded soldier was given treatment for his broken angle, and then supported by one of his friends.
Holt had the soldier to march a relatively easier march back than the time when they were walking towards the the cave, so there were more pauses and time to make sure that the wounded soldier was given a more careful treatment. Kanade was also given some treatment, however the soldiers wouldn't force her awake as they weren't sure if she could take it at such an young age.
