Introduction
In Acirema, the Chaos Cities have always existed, as far back as history goes. There has never been a time when they were used, they were only abandoned and left there to stand as a remembrance to the people of the mistakes that they once made. Now the Gods send the Powerfuls to teach and help the people return to the Gods. The Powerfuls have sworn to help the people in any way that they can. This is only natural. This is the way that it was meant to be; forever and always.
And yet things have begun to change. The Chaos Hunters are becoming more and more dangerous. They have begun to take on the Aura of the Chaos Cities. Too much time exposed to the strangeness of the cities have made the Chaos Hunters evil. It has made them tough, hard, emotionless and evil. The heretics of the gods have fallen under that service of Korrantom, the Chaos God. It is he who now rules the Chaos Cities and the Chaos Hunters. His infestation has begun with the heretics.
The Powerfuls are a sort of super-human race. These people have been born with certain powers. They have been separated into three major divisions of Powerfuls: Warrior Class, Caution Class, and Intelligence Class.
The Warrior Class is the least liked of the Powerfuls. This class is strictly there for attack and defense. Their job is to stand guard all over the city to keep everything safe and happy. If you couldn't tell from the picture, the Warrior Class is the Class of Elementals. They can each control one elemental. now these aren't limited to only the four main elements, but this also includes Ice, Lightning, Lava, Sand, Plants, weather, etc. Any sort of natural thing can be under the control of an elemental. A member of this class, once found, will be brought to special camps all over Acirema to be trained. They are trained to give little thought to what happens to their enemies and they are quite violent and vicious, which is why most people like this group the least. They hold themselves to a higher standard of living and rarely give in to emotions.
The Caution Class is the Class meant to be a line of defense against invaders with the intent to harm or attack Acirema cities. There are only really three types of Powerfuls in the Caution Class: Future-Seers, Aura - Seers. and Mind Readers. All three of these are not at all perfect powers, nor do they always work. For example, A future-seer can see what is to come, but they cannot see how it comes about or when it will come. They worship Uraque most of all, and serve under him as priests or priestesses. The Aura-Seers have a more direct duty. They stand at the entrances of all of the cities and they judge the auras of those that pass them by. They are meant to detect any false Aura's, but they can miss people, and sometimes they misjudge what they see. No one can ever be quite certain what a certain color of Aura means but most of the time they have a fairly good idea. The problem with Aura-seers is that they are overly confident that their power is supreme and they will miss things because of this self-confidence. The last group, the Mind Readers, are limited in that they can only see what the person is thinking at that moment, and they cannot shut their power off. It is always on and it is always working, so they will often be insane. There are few sane mind readers, which is why the Mindreaders are always with an Aura-Seer of their own.
This is the final class of Powerfuls and it is the most feared. For one thing, the eyes of the Intelligence class are either all white or all back depending on the god they serve: Thamasus the God of Movement (White) and Hyarmen the God of Change (Black). Those under Thamasus are Teleporters, Telekinetics, and those with enhanced speed. Those under Hyarmen are Shapshifters, thoughtographers, and Astral Projection. Each of these, like the Caution Class, have their limitations and downsides. Teleporters can only visit places that they have been before and they're limited to how far away depending on their power level. Telekinetics are similar, however they have the ability to "throw" objects by moving the object quickly with their mind and then letting go, sending it flying as far as it will on the kinetic energy it has stored. For those with enhanced speed, it is limited in the same way as the last two, by the power level of it's user. Shapeshifters have the limitation of being unable to stay in one shape that is not their own for more than an hour. After that they must change back into their own shape for a few minutes before being able to change again. At the hour mark, their power fails and they return to their own form anyway. During the hour, they can change shape any time they want, however, if they change into their shape they will have to be in that shape for a few minutes in order for their power to "Reset". Thoughtographers limitation is that everything they are thinking is projected somewhere. This means that if they are thinking something hateful, it will be burned into something somewhere near them, probably something they are touching, Most of the time they have some sort of sheet or tablet that they always have on hand to touch so their thoughts are still mostly invisible. Astral Projectors have similar limitations to Shapeshifters: and hour limit. The difference is that in their case it is because of a strain on their bodies that they have to return. After and hour the strain grown too great and their body dies. Thus, they are trapped in their spirit form.
