Carli Condor's Story

Delphina
First day at the mansion...

Although, she was glad there were other young parents like her, she was slightly worried. Carli was waddling alongside her, a smile painted on her face as the headed down to the pool deck. She had brought everything she had, which wasn't a lot, and had quickly finished unpacking. Delphina had decided she would let Carli swim around for a bit. Of course, she had her floaties. And Delphina had on her white swimsuit to get in the water too. Nothing like a swim on a hot day to cool you off.

As soon as they arrived, Delphina saw some other people and their kids. Immediately, Carli squealed. Being the quiet little girl she was, that surprised her. Must be that fact there is other kids her age... she thought and let out a squeak of alarm as her daughter tried to frag her over.

"Okay! Calm down love, I'm coming!" she told her and began to walk over. The 19 year old young lady waved in a friendly wave and gave a dazzling welcome smile. "Uh, hello, I'm Delphina, and this is Carli..." she introduced herself and her daughter, British accent a thick, but easily understandable layer over her soft musical voice. "...who was just itching to come a see new people apparently. she added on with a light laugh when Carli began tugging her arm, and quietly, barely able to be heard, "Momma! Momma!" and Delphina let out a sigh, blinking her clear, sparkling blue eyes and looking up at the others.

Willow noticed a few more people when the young girl squealed. Skyanna jumped up and down. The newcomers were young like Willow and Sky, maybe even the same age. Her accent was British, obviously. "I'm Willow, and that bundle of energy is my daughter Skyanna." Sky waved with both hands ferociously.

As if coming giver here was a bad idea, Carli hid behind Delphina's leg when the girl, who introduced herself as Willow spoke. Delphina couldn't help but chuckle at her daughter.

"Well hi." Delphina gave a warm, and friendly smile towards the little girl who could only be Skyanna, and her mother.

Carli peeked behind her mother's leg and gave a shy but curious look to the other little girl, and then other people. The quiet 4 year old took a step around, still hugging tightly to Delphina's leg

"Carls, it's okay, you can go say hi." she coaxed the blond little girl. Carli shook her head and hugged Delphina tighter.

With a rather reluctant sigh, the wavy blond haired Delphina stooped down and smoothly scooped up Carli, and she wrapped her arms tightly around her neck, and buried her face into her shoulder. With another sigh, she flashed an apologetic smile towards them.

"Sorry, Carli is just a bit... shy." she explained and blinked, brushing a stray wisp of hair from her eyes quickly with her free hand.

Wiloow gigled. "Sky used to be that way. Especially right after the accident." Willow got quiet for a minute. "Well you can see that wore off." The energetic tot was behind Delphina, curiously staring a hole through Carli. "Sky! Stop pestering her! She's shy!" SKy looked at her mom and smiled and ran to her. She jumped onto her mother's chair.

Delphina grinned at the bouncing girl behind her. Carli had a small smile on her face, and gave a quiet hi to the girl. Then, Carli walked over to talk to the other girl, Skyanna. Meanwhile, Delphina gave a relieved sigh and put Carli down so she could play with the other kids. Obviously Delphina was going to keep a close eye on them. Carli still didn't know how to swim that well yet.

Then, a guy in the pool spoke up and introduced himself as Liam. Delphina gave a friendly smile and wave. "Hi Liam." then she looked at the two kids. "Hi Zach, hi Maddie." she said with a wink. Delphina turned to her daughter.

"Carli! C'mere! Wanna go swimming?" she asked her. That's what she came here for right? Carli excitedly bobbed her head and scampered over. She was in her swim suit, and all Delphina needed to do was walk her over to the shallow end of the pool. Delphina took off her denim shorts and tank top to reveal her white bikini. She sat down in the foot of water. It went up to Carli's waist, a little higher. The platinum blond haired girl splashed around, and splashed her mother.

"Carli!" she squeaked and splashed little wave back at her, and made her stumble, also earning an ecstatic squeak of joy.

Delphina couldn't help but laugh. Although her daughter was shy, she still knew how to have fun, just like Delphina did.

Within a few minutes, Carli had plopped down on her butt in the very shallow end, so when she sat down, it wasn't high at all. Closer to the edge of the pool. Carli looked like she would be staying there a while, so Delphina took the chance and waded out to the deeper side, keeping her eye on Carli and then dove under the surface, and popped back up a moment later, then swam back to her daughter. She had to do that. It was way to hot outside to not take advantage of the pool. Delphina then flipped her hair and water droplets flew everywhere. Almost immediately, it began to dry in beachy waves from the intense sun.

Of course, Carli was in the same position, oddly interested int he water she sat in. She cupped it in her small hands and tossed it in the air, then hit it, making it separate into multiple drops. Delphina couldn't help but be amused. Carli had her own way of doing things... she didn't really need friends to have fun, she could be by herself for hours and make something to do. Well, other than Delphina being there that is.

Maddie wanted to play with the other little girl so she waded over to her then sat next to her. She started doing what the little girl was doing and saw it was fun. Soon Zach alone joined them and did what they where doing as well. He also found it fun and enjoyed the game. Then he called over the other little girl to play with them. Forgetting about what he had asked his father.

Delphina
Seeing as the other two had joined Carli, Delphina grinned. That was interesting.

Delphina looked at the guy who had introduced himself as Liam. "Well, looks like those two are getting along with Carli." she said and waded out deeper so the water came up to her waist. She leaned against the wall, and lightly moved her legs up and down to keep floating. Her blue eyes blinked in amusement when she watched them.

Delphina kept her elbows resting on the wall, and she easily used the strength in her arms to keep her from sinking down. This was relaxing.

"That's good. Never thought they would make friends." He laughed. "I'm working at the theater where are you working?" He asked her keeping an eye on the kids while wading around in front of the girl so he could see her face while they talked. He wondered if they girl Scarny was OK though. He just thought that a guy talking to her wouldn't help.

Every now and then, galncing over at the kids, she listened to Liam.

"I'm working at the theater where are youw okring?"

Well. honestly, ashedidn'tknow.Theresturaunt was hirng, so maybe there. Although, she had never been a waitress or anything, it could work. "Um, most likely the resturaunt." she decided finally. Hey, why not? Delpina moved a strand of hair from her face that the wind had blown over. Then a question came to her mind.

"How can you work at a theater...? Isn't it just, like, watching movies?" she asked. Well, then agian, youd id need somebody for something there, right?

He laughed when she said that. I work in the drive in over there" he pointed at the large white screen in the distance. "I wok in the consessions building. Its fun."She he smiled looking over at the giggling kids. Seeing them made him smile even more. He loved his kids with all his heart. He was glad they would finaly have a stable home for a while. Friends as well. "How long have you been here?"

How long had she been here? THat was an easy one. The other few, not so much.

"i just got here today actually." she admitted with a relieved grin.

Delphina really didn't want Carli to grow up, moving from place to place, trying to survive pretty much. Delphina had been on her own since she was twelve, and didn't want her daughter to go through what she did. All she wanted was the best for her kid. And this was most likely the best she could get.

Laim smiled. "Well we have some prett cool stuf here what do you like to do?" He asked her. Hi figured he would show her all her favorite things then she could see some of his favorite thigns then she could decide what she wanted to do. Although his favorite thing to do was read and be with the kids.

Delphina
And another question.

It's a good thing that Delphina is a talker.

"Well, we have some pretty cool stuff here what do you like to do?"

Hm, she liked to do a lot. But, half the stuff she liked to do, like surfing, she couldn't do much anymore because of Carli. Of course, Delphina loved her daughter with all of her heart, but sometimes she wanted to go do some stuff she liked to do. "Well, before Carli," she started with a giggle at what she said. "... I liked to go to the beach and surf. ANd I was really into sports." she said.

"But, when I have to keep an eye of Carli, then I usually write music, sing, play piano, or read." she admitted finally.

He couldn't help but smile. "Yeah gotta watch the kids." He pointed over to his kids and looked over at them again. They seemed to be playing well. "Well there are different sports things here but also there is this bar that has a karaoke night every week but its for family's so there didn't any beer or anything completely kid friendly environment."

Karaoke huh? Well, that sounded... fun.

With a smile, Delphina nodded. "Sounds cool." she commented. She had n ever sung in front of people before, but theres a first time for everything, right?

Then, an excited squeal floated over to Delphina, and she looked over, seeing Carli splashing about in the shallow water. THe blond couldn't help but giggle a bit herself, enjoying watching her daughter have fun for once.

Scarny finally decided to emerge from the stall. Chris had fallen asleep in her arms and she carried him back upstairs. She put out a sideways glance at the two still in the pool laughing and having fun. She couldn't help but envy that fact that they could find the courage to flirt with each other. When she couldn't get over what had happened to her. She looked at her watch and saw it was getting late. She headed off faster inside. She wanted some time to sit on the balcony and play her guitar before work. Soon she had put him to bed and was playing. Before she knew it there was a knock on the door and it was time for work. "Thanks for coming to get him, Lane." She gave her work smile. A smile that could fool the world and get her nothing. The trio went downstairs and departed two to daycare and one to the restaurant.

Liam smiled at her. He saw the other girl look at her watch and hurry off. He checked the time and realized that it was getting dark. Time for him to get to work. Thankfully he had to leave his uniform at work. "I gotta go to work see ya later." He rushed off kids on his back. He dropped them off then ran across the lawn to the theater. He got in just before people started driving there cards into the large lawns.

Work?

Well, duh, they were just talking about that. Delphina simply nodded, and gave a see ya later! to Liam as he set off. Well, it was getting dark, so she swam to Carli, who was frowning that her new friends were gone.

"C'mon love, lets go check out the daycare!" Let's give mommy some space so she can check out the restaurant!

SO, she dried off her daughter, and picked her up, hoisting her in her arms, and Carli expertly placed herself on Delphina's hip, wrapping her little arms around her neck. In the meantime, Delphina had gotten her shorts back on, and had a towel over her other arm as she rushed off.

The blond had talked to some lady before, who ad mentioned a daycare if you were at work. Luckily Delphina hadn't gotten lost while trying to find it, and had visited the restaurant and fortunately gotten the job. She was a waitress. Something Delphina was used to doing. While she jumped from place to place, she had jumped from job to job as well. And luckily landed some waiting jobs.

She dropped Carli off, who hobbled off to play with some other kids, and Delphina rushed to her room, grabbed the little apron thingy they gave you to hold stuff, and puled her damp hair up into a cute messy bun. Then, she headed off to work.

When she arrived, Delphina noticed a dark haired girl and nodded a friendly hello, with a warm smile. That girl had been at the pool deck earlier. But she was the one who had left right when Delphina had gotten there. Delphina went over before she headed off to get started and introduced herself.

"HI, I'm Delphina. New." she said with her accent and another friendly smile.

Luckily, Delphina got out earlier than even Scarny, he boss saying she did great for her first day, and she raced back and got Carli. BUt, she realized that there was a note on the door, saying a parent only event. Could be fun, right? So she grinned and simply got on a fresh, and casual, but rather cute outfit, fishtailed her long blond hair, and applied minimal makeup. She then slid on some sandals and brought Carli back. Then, she went to the destination, and spotted Scarny. DElphina bounced over. "Wonder what's going on." she said cheerfully.


(OUTFIT= washed out, old cut off shorts with a woven leather belt. A ruffled laced tank top and tan sandals. Fishtailed hair with a light blue/teal flower tucked in it.)
