In Thanos city, everything seems normal during the day as people go about their usual lives. However when night time comes, the Neiges (French for snow) come out. They are people with a genetic condition that gives them white hair, pale skin, red or violet eyes and their eyes are very sensitive to sunlight. Some are born that way and some become like that during their life time. They are not albinos however. Due to the discrimination from normal people they turn to a life of crime or face unemployment. However due to the divide in the population, extremists among the Neiges have appeared. While most may just see the normals as lowly scum, a small group called the White Revolution have begun with acts of terror, kidnapping and killing normals or bombing government facilities. Now the ministry of nightly affairs seeks to hire Neiges to spy on their own kind and take out the White Revolution as well as criminal rings with the promise of political power and good pay as well as training. They are to go to the Neige borough at night and keep an eye on the activities there.

Thanos city: A city of 2.5 million, most of which is situated on an island in a large lake. The normals are usually active at daytime while the Neiges are active at night time. Neiges tend to run bars and night clubs in the city, often while doing illegal activities such as selling dangerous drugs or being engaged in human trafficking. Nevertheless, normals tend to dont mind their presence at night just to have a good time.

Neiges: Neiges are people with a rare genetic disorder that makes their hair white, skin pale, eyes red or violet and their eyes are very sensitive to sunlight. Some are born that way and some become like that gradually during their life. A common misconception is that Neiges sunburn quickly. On the contrary, Neiges never sunburn, however their eyes are so sensitive to sunlight that it is even hard to see for them with sunglasses on. They are widely discriminated in the city and often turn to crime out of desperation and if they don't they end up living off of welfare. They have to register with the ministry of night affairs. Currently there are about 40,000 Neiges in Thanos city.

The Ministry of Night Affairs: Commonly called the Ministry of Neige Affairs by citizens. They supervise Neige activities in the city and keep a registry on the Neiges in the city. The ministry is primarily known to crack down on Neige criminal activities. What is barely known is that they also seek to integrate Neiges into normal life and try to crack down on prejudice as well. Their current project is an all Neige counter-terrorist task force.

White Revolution: Born from the bitterness of being discriminated against, some Neiges have developed a mindset of Neige supremacy, seeing normals as lowlifes and the White Revolution takes that even further with a full on hate of normals, actively kidnapping and killing normals as well as bombing government buildings. Their ultimate goal is to either reign supreme over the normals or to turn all normals into Neiges.


Starting point: Escalon, the Neige borough. A place full of highrises and bars. Luckily Neiges don't live in slums. Potential candidates for the counter-terrorist task force will be contacted by an agent of the ministry.
