Introduction
Through the spread of panic, countless theories, prophecies, and philosophies have arisen. From the simply mundane, to the convoluted conspiracies, all manner of people have come to believe. The simple folk are content to wallow in their filth, fearing the end of days. The more complex citizens deem it necessary to stockpile all manner of wealth, whether it be martial or monetary. They find it more pressing to prepare themselves for the looming threat of war, rather than the welfare of the people governed.
The select few who know the true causes, are absorbed in their own worries, facing daunting mental and physical challenges that few can even fathom. Their troubles are more worrisome than the average preservation of their own lives. Their worries encompass the survival of all living-kind.
Through their various ends, both literal and metaphorical, these heroes have had their fates crossed, and entwined. They are no longer the singular seeking peace; they are the band, the team, the party seeking peace. Through these ends, their innate abilities have been awakened. They have been awakened in a most peculiar fashion, one that will continue to astound them for the duration of the plight ahead, and beyond.
“Greetings, my friends.”
“This is a time of great strife, full of perils unimagined.”
“I believe that you have the power to accomplish great things.”
“I leave this world in your capable hands.”
“There are other things that call for my attention.”
“Immature though you may be, wisdom can only be gained through experience.”
“Live, experience, prosper.”
“This is your calling.”
“Look for the threat looming upon the horizon, conquer it.”
“Only then will your peace be granted.”
This was spoken to the chosen ones; none may exactly explain their feelings after this encounter, for each hero heard it slightly differently, but the essence was the same. They were charged with the duty to save their known world. Through this encounter, their souls tingled with awakened power, with incredible power.
Once awoken, these heroes found themselves in a smoky chamber, the ceiling stretching off into shadow, the torches burning ceaselessly along the walls. In this chamber, they had a simple message drift into their clouded thoughts.
“The first test is hardest; you will be pitched against your soon-to-be friends. This first trial will allow you to discover the power hidden in the recesses of your soul. Do not despair of harm, for nothing that could happen will change the finale. Think unto your needs and wants, and it shall become real. Do not be afraid.”
And so, with no other instruction, our heroes are pitched against one another, observed by none but the silence. Their powers flowed through their blood, unknown to them, uncontrollable in the heat of conflict, the feeling different for each. Here they attempted to learn the basis of their power.

Clarification:
Powers evolve with use and meditation, in the beginning, the power released is just a pittance of the final thing. They are manifested in a tangible object (think Bleach Zanpaktou). Powers are also determined through personality and/or the original death.
Ammunition is extremely rare, guns are present in droves, but finding their respective projectiles is nearly impossible, except for one or two shots, here and there.
There will be an active inventory, if you obtain something, after the post, update your profile, also if you lose something.
After the “rebirth,” players will have no memory of their past life. The new life will have the same personality, looks, demeanors, etc. as the past life. Memories will be returned once something shocking happens, or a relation reminds them.
Economy is active: prices and qualities change with area, currency is valid (copper, silver, gold. One silver = 50 copper, one gold = 50 silver) If exchange is wanted, find a bank, or shop

Collectibles

to retrieve the item into the current character's inventory.
Mobs
Give your Universe life by adding a Mob, which are auto-replenishing NPCs your players can interact with. Useful for some quick hack-and-slash fun!
Mobs can be automated spawns, like rats and bats, or full-on NPCs complete with conversation menus. Use them to enhance your player experience!
