Twenty seven years ago today an event shook the west coast of the United States. What everyone had thought was nothing more than a massive earthquake was actually an event which has since been called the Second Great Uprising, and event so catastrophic that it actually broke a great chunk of California off, creating a large island. For a time there was no contact with the island, as the ground was still shifting and settling, but eventually we learned that there were survivors, and that once the smoke cleared everything seemed to be fine.

And everything was fine, until the survivors who had remained on the island, which has since been named the New Lost Ground, gave birth to a new generation. A generation of children who gained supernatural abilities and powers known as Alter Abilities. These kids were born with the power to deconstruct the martial around them and reconstruct it, giving a new form and function.

Because the exact same thing had happened to Japan the US had already placed a set of precautions in order. With the help of Japan they soon had their own division of HOLD, and through them they extracted several of these children, raised them and trained them inside of secret bases on the main land, and created their own HOLY organization with HOLD. This organization was made up of Alter users who had become loyal to HOLD and the new mainland. They were tasked with the job of capturing dangerous Native Alters and bringing them in, either for punishment or to be recruited.

This is the tale of the Alters of the New Lost Ground. Born an Alter yourself, which side will you take? How will your story end?

Evovled powers always take the place of the previous, which means you ca never use the old power ever again)

To clear a few things up, this is based on the anime s-CRY-ed. It would help if you had seen it, but it isn't mandatory to take part in this roleplay, you'll just have to take things slower than those who have seen it. If you have seen the show, then yes, you can create a character whose from the original Lost Ground, but it will be more thoroughly inspected than the others. My new friend Beau Goodbarrel is going to be the Co-GM, so you can ask him for help as well. In fact he may be more helpful than me.
