"Goodmorning Lizbeth." Dr. Rivers, the hoarse voiced psychologist said kindly as the girl smiled in a in-genuine matter, and took a seat in the big leather chair that she'd sat in multiple times. She'd counted all the groves in the left arm rest of the chair once to make time past, and the number she'd came up with was 132.
"I am hoping that today will be very productive, you don't have to hide your feelings from me, I'm here to help." Dr. Rivers assured her as he reached out to pat her shoulder, as a way to reassure the girl, but she did not take well to the affection, and compliments of strangers so she swiftly got up and walked to the threshold where she paused for a brief second.
"I don't have anything to talk about today. Just knowing you're there for me is enough." Lizbeth said, using her typical line to coax him into feeling as if he'd done his job, when really all he did was make her hate the academy even more.
"W-well... I'm glad to hear that. Maybe next time you'll have more to share." Dr. Rivers said, although he sounded a bit unsure. With that Lizbeth made her way out of the door and down the long corridor, her black converse make a rhythmic thud as she made her way around the bend and into the library where she sat in the farthest corner, out of the sight of the librarian and held her bic lighter right under a copy of Fahrenheit 451, she watched as the pages tried to escape the inferno by curling back upon themselves, but the fire engulfed the brittle pages without hesitation.
"How Ironic." She says with a half smile.

Sonny just sat there in the library coloring in the pictures he drew with a sepia chalk pastel when he smelled something odd but faint he took a quick sniff of his pastel to see if it was the cause of the smell but it wasn't. He grabbed the books next to him, got up and walked over to the librarians desk.
"Thanks Mrs.Vandertramp Ill see you tomorrow" he said politely and went back to the table where he left his bag he took a deep breath and noticed that the smell was stronger than before, but he shrugged shoulders, grabbed his bag, and walked down the long hallway and out the main doors and headed for the dorms.

Dexter just sat in his dorm thinking about all of the marvelous things he left back home in Australia. He just flipped through all of the picture albums he had from the times he spent with his mother before she was murdered and his father, and his best friend Jason. He began to shed a tear as he took a trip down memory lane. He missed how is mother tucked him in at night, read a story to him and kissed him upon his forehead. He suddenly received a call from his dad
"Hello." Dexter said with a hoarse voice.
"Hey Dex!" His dad replied
"Is everything okay?" His dad added
"Yea. Everything is great. I'm just looking through these old pics." Dex said as he put the book away realizing that his father already knew what he was talking about.
"*Sigh* Yea. I miss her too." His dad replied
"Why don't you go to the library and check out a book on forensics. It may help you with your studies." His dad added.
"Okay. Ill call you later." Dex said as he headed for the door and hung up. Dex didn't like the hallways of the school. It always made him feel closed in and it was just plain creepy. Not only were the hallways creepy but so was half the student body. He felt as if some random kid would just pop out asking if he wanted to see their cheese. So he raced to the library. That's how creeped out he was
"Hi Mrs.Vandertramp. Would you happen to have any books on forensics?" Dex asked as he flipped his dorm key around in his hand.
"Yea. In the back to the left." She replied
"Okay. Thanks." He said as he rushed off to the back. As he turned the corner into the back he saw a girl burning a book. He didn't really know what to think but he needed the book.
"Uhmm. Hi." Dex said as he began looking for the forensics book but the girl just looked up at him and back down at the fire.
"My name is Dex." He said as he put out his hand for her to shake. But she just looked at him and back down to the fire.
"Well then." He muttered as he grabbed the forensics book off the shelf and went back to the front desk to check it out.
"Is this the book you want?" Mrs.Vandertramp asked.
"Yes it is." Dex replied
"Okay. You have three weeks to finish it" She said as she scanned the book and put a little card in the back of it.
"Okay. Thanks!" HE said with a smile as he walked out the library and back to his room. When he got back to his room he jumped on his bed kicked off his shoes and began to read. He seemed quite interested in the book already and couldn't stop reading. He figured he would be done with it in about a week.

It was a typical day at sacred heart. The building was creaking, and the student body stayed to themselves in that standoffish way they usually did. The only thing that mattered at a school like Scared Heart was money, and status. This morning, like every other Rein was dancing down the hallway in her high heels with her favorite song on maximum volume, when all of a sudden she went hurdling into a student sending all his items flying across the floor.
"I-I'm so sorry- I didn't mean to- I'm such a klutz." She stammered frantically, partly because of her embarrassment, and partly because of how hopped up on caffeine she was.
"Maybe you should watch where you're going next time." Sonny said, Rein didn't know is she should interpret it as rude or a helpful gesture.
"Yeah... I probably should. Let me help you with that." The girl says as she picks up the scattered sepia chalk pastels.
"Is this your medium? I medium in watercolors, and makeup... weird, I know, but it has a pretty bold look on starch white paper." The girl rambled on.

"Well I prefer Acryllic paint on canvas, it gives the picture more detail" he said as he dusted off his bag and box of chalk pastels "I just use chalk pastels when I'm bored" Sonny didn't notice it at first but he started to ramble on a bit but he caugt it before he really got started. "Sorry.... again" she said as she retrieved his bag from across the hallway and handed to him.
"Oh no its okay" he said as he checked his bag to see if any of his electronics like his ipod and cell phone were broken, which they weren't.

While Dexter was reading his book already up to page 46 he heard a loud crash outside of his dorm. He quickly jumped up. A little worried that someone was hurt he slowly got out of bed and walked towards the door. He slowly poked his head out the door to see what was happening.
"Oh. Hi." Said Dex as he picked up a pack of Ticonderoga Pencils off the floor in front of his dorm room.
"Is this yours?" He said as he tried to hand the pack of pencils to the girl in front of him.
"No that's his." She replied
"Oh..Here you go." He said as he shifted to hand the boy the pencils. Both of the kids just looked at him with a weird blank expression so it began to make him feel uncomfortable.
"Okay. I guess ill see you around." He said as he walked backwards into his room shutting the door behind him. He quickly ran and jumped back on the bed and opened his book back to page 46 and continued reading.

"Oh, wait!" The girl called as she picked up a key that'd fell from the pocket of the dark haired boy.
"It was nice meeting you..." Rein began.
"Sonny, the name's Sonny." The boy replied as Rein smiled lightly.
"Cool name, I'm Rein. I hope we can talk again, about art and stuff." The girl offers as Sonny nods his head and goes on his way. When Sonny makes his leave Rein knocks on Dexter's door lightly and lets herself in.
"I'm sorry to barge in, but you dropped this." The girl said sweetly as she returned the key to the boy who was intently reading a book on forensics.

"Thanks!" Dexter said as he closed his book and got out of bed.
"What would I have done without this?" He added with a little smirk on his face.
"I'm Dexter. You can just call me Dex if you like." He said as he threw the key on his bed and put out his hand gesturing the girl to shake his hand.
"I'm Rein!" The girl said as she shook the boys hand.
"Well. Thanks again." Dex said as he turned to his bed and moved the book to the shelf

"So... uh, what are you reading? It must be interesting, you sure did return to your room in a hurry." The girl said, her bubbly nature inclining her to continue getting to know the boy behind the book.

"It's a forensics book" He said as he took the book back off the shelf and handed it to the girl.
"Oh. You're interested in this kinda stuff?" Rein said as she flipped through the pages stopping at some to read.
"Not really. I mean its interesting but not "Mariah Carey" interesting!" He said with a laugh.
"If you must know I'm Obsessed with her. But my mom was murdered when i was 9. So I'm studying it so i can figure some of it out.... I don't want to remain clueless." He added as he fiddled with his fingers.
"Oh I'm sorry for your loss." Rein said as she handed the book over to Dexter.
"Well.... I'm hungry. Do you care for lunch?" He asked as he put the book away.

"Oh... I'm sorry to hear that." Rein said, her mood dampened a bit, but she perked up again at the mention of food.
"Ooh! I would love to. How about Chinese?" The girl ask's excitedly, grinning from ear to ear.
