Introduction
Imagine if the medieval era caught on for a little longer. Then it dies down to handfuls of enthusiasts over the ages keeping the history and traditions, and the artifacts alive, even occasionally suggesting and preparing to go back to the age of the knights of europe, the samurai of japan, and all the rest.
But then move on, and we find that things naturally advance to the 1800's. The cowboys, railroads, and the six shooter were supposed to die in the 1900's, right? Well, no. I mean, we would advance to radio and the internet, as well as semi-automatic pistols and trucks, but people just couldn't let go of the ten-gallon hat, or the reliability of the horse. Merge the people that wanted to keep the 'Spirit of the West' alive with the medieval folks, and we see a large scale movement to maintain a new way of life in the world.
We've got gambling and Las Vegas. We've got New York City and industry. But in between, there are large, wide open lands to explore, even today. The idea of the suburb is fledgling and given little regard. Schools follow a system not unlike the Finnish, in which it only lasts four days a week, four hours a day, no mandatory tests, and teachers are paid like doctors. Modern Knights, and new age samurai walk the streets with sheath and blade, next to the lessons taught to those who follow the path of the firearm, all their practices taught at centers all over the world alongside martial arts dojos. And even some lesser sorts, such as those who admired the romans of old, or the lovers of the greek and the ancient chinese get to flaunt their weapons and fight in the arena of combative sports.
But in this fantastic new world, crime is still rampant. Big corporations dispense name brand weaponry to all who can pay the price. Trucks and railroads are still raided by gangs armed with their little guns. Clans, guilds and families feud on the streets with claymore and wakizashi alike, while exchanging shotgun shells. In the midst of the chaos however, Justice shall find a way to prevail. Or choke under the inevitable rise of villainy…
…As our story begins in the town of San Tranquilo. A peaceful place to live regardless who stays there, though it's near the area called Bad Rock Canyon where a local gang has been rumored to be setting up shop in the last couple weeks, and not far from another town in the style of a feudal Japanese society, known simply as Takashi's Landing, where most swordsmen, including knights, tend to make their home, a portion of the town taken up by varying factions of european knights

The place where a local gang has supposedly begun setting up shop. A signpost has been set up, reading: "Do not enter, lest ye face YABBA DABBA DOOM!' signed by the Canyon Croc Gang.
