After school, a group of friends from the same class decide to hang out. But while walking around town, they notice a strange door that attracts them. Upon entering it, they end up in the spirit world. The door led them to a huge and wonderful garden where a silver haired woman named Sakurakami (english: Cherry goddess) resides. There they are told that they shouldnt go back to the mortal world during its night time, otherwise those close to them will die for the sake of the balance of the worlds. At first, the teens dont believe her but as they stay longer in their world than half a day, mysterious things start to happen and they watch as people close to them die of horrible deaths in the presence of the teens. Back in the spirit world, they are told that if they desire to stay longer without anyone dying, then they will have to die in the spirit world and be reborn as lower/petty kami. But even so they cannot stay longer than two days at a time. If they want to stay longer than two days, they will first need to run errands in the spirit world for higher kami before being allowed to help humans in the mortal world and therefore being able to stay as long as they help and humans believe in kami.

But in their kami forms, they are invisible to humans while they also possess a human form where people can see them. However the teens cannot use their kami powers unless in their kami form. The kami forms are similar to their human forms but mostly their are minor changes such as hair color and that they have traditional and formal clothing. Will the teens be able to even accept their destinies or will they forever be in denial and endanger those around them?
