Jasper shut it locker door as he hauled his back pack over his shoulder. He pushed his way through the crowd of kids to get to his classroom. Jasper reached the room seconds before the bell ringing. Biology, it's not the most interesting class but he learns some new things now and again. Jasper walked over to the table which as two chairs, he sat down the right of the door, he placed his book bag next to his chair.

His eye's glanced over the room, an uncanny feeling swept over him. He felt as though something was wrong, yet everything seemed normal. He pushed the though aside and got his binder and pencil out of his crammed book bag. He sighed and leaned back onto the cold tan chair."Good morning class, please get out your homework from last night, it was the reading pack. chemical reacts." Mrs. Bird said to her class. Jasper shot his eye's at his binder. "Shoot..." he said as he flipped his binder open.

Struggling to get to the homework, he skimmed down the page only ready a few of the words. As he picked up his pencil and put it to the page, Mrs. Bird was already in front of him. She grabbed the paper under Jaspers hand and looked though the packet. "How disappointing, I expected better from you Mr. Mcsuka
Jasper sighed and leaned back on is chair putting his head down. He knew he had forgotten something yesterday.

Jasper watched as Mrs. Bird went to every student checking their packets. He glared over the room, something caught his eye he saw the class bully picking on the girl in front of him. Jasper rolled his eye's and rose from his seat, the fast motion made a cold breeze hit his chest. He walked over hearing faintly in the background Mrs. Bird telling him to take a seat. Jasper stopped in front of Ryan the class bully. "What?" Asked Ryan, as he glared up at Jasper. Jasper rolled his eye's and grabbed him by the collar of the shirt. He lifted him out of the chair, he pulled him close.

"Pick on anyone again and you'll have to hear from me..." Jasper threatened. Ryan's been picking on these people for years ever since he got a detention, this is what he became. Jasper throwed him back in his seat and walked back over to his seat. Once there he leaned back and looked over at Mrs. Bird. "Please...continue..." He told her with a smirk.

Jessica froze in confusion when an older teen rushed over to help her, his actions fast as he pulled Ryan up by his shirt collar and threatened him with what she thought of as the annoyance and/or anger aimed towards his victim (in the sense of defending herself) as he dealt with the situation at hand. But, before she could thank the boy, she realized he was already seated at his desk and asking the teacher to continue on. With the little bit of courage she had left, she quickly wrote down a note with the words ‘meet me at lunch’ before she passed it down to the boy, and gave him one last look of gratitude before she went back to her desk.

Jasper's gaze looked down at his desk, his eye's shut. The quiet moment was disturbed as someone handed him a note. He looked at their hand and up to their face. He sighed and took the note from them, he fixed his hands on the edge of the small sheet of paper and unfolded it.

He looked down at where the not had came from and saw a look of gratitude from Ryan's victim. He peered back at the note, the words on the paper said "Meet me at lunch' . He nodded at the note and slipped it into his pocket before fixing his gaze back on to teacher.

Once the bell rang he gathered his stuff and fixed it into his crammed back pack. "darn thing...I need a bigger book bag.." Jasper whispered to himself. He zipped the backpack up and threw it over his shoulder as he exited the room. He glared down the hall way seeing Ryan. He gave him a cold glare and walked up the stair case to his left.

Once at the top of the stairs he entered the lunch room. He looked around for a nice place to sit to wait for Ryan's victim. Jasper spotted a comer of the room which had two seats open. He smiled an in that direction.

He set his back pack to the left of him to the wall. He leaned back in the chair waiting for her arrival. He smiled at the thought of someone actually wanting to talk to him. It wasn't common for him.

Jessica entered the Lunchroom with high-hopes of finding the teenage boy. It was hard to believe that only an hour or less has now passed since she first saw him, and with her irrational curiosity, she found it best to pass him the simple note of an ‘upcoming' meeting during that exact lunch period.

Walking forwards with cautious steps, she slowly wandered around the Lunchroom until she found the older boy sitting nearby, farther out at the corner of the room with a smile on his face.

Jessica couldn't help herself but grin also, and while taking in a deep breath of air, she quickly paced towards the boy; no sooner then to find a sturdy chair closer to his location. Keeping her heart-beat steady, she softly greeted him with a bashful “Hey” before taking out her lunch-bag.

Jaspers eye's opened and fixed his sight on the girl standing in front of him. He looked at her closely and deter minded she was the one whom sent the note. "Hey there, Names Jasper." her straight out. He got up and turned his chair around, he found in more comfortable that way. He sat back down on the back wards chair facing the table, he put his elbows of the back of the chair and placed his chin in his hands. "Please sit.." He said to her gesturing towards the chair.

He watched as she got her lunch bag out of her book-bag. He leaned to the right of the chair and pulled out a water bottle and placed it on the table. He eye's fixed themselves back on the girl whom sat in front of him, he gave her a smile. He wondered why she had called him to this unexpected meeting. He hardly knew the girl, as he sat there in thought he ran his hand through his black short hair. "So why'd you wish to meet me at lunch..?" He asked her as he opened his water bottle that now sit's in the palm of his hand as he unscrews the lid.

Noise suddenly became an issue in the café. Tons of kids just piled in from all over, he sighed and turned his head towards the crowd of people. He glared around the room spectating every one's moves. He didn't watch for long, jasper got bored and fixed his gaze back to the girl sitting at the same table.

Trying to make herself heard over the crowd of students, Jessica smiled shyly towards the boy before arching up her right eyebrow and responding with an easygoing attitude. “That my friend, is actually a fairly difficult question to answer. . . I usually don’t talk to many people here at this school, but for once in my life, someone actually took notice of the drama of bullying here in the CA District” She pulls away a strand of hair from her eyes before a small smile begins to form on her lips “I- I go by the name Jessica, but you can just call me Jess, if you’d like. What’s your name?”

Jasper smiled at the girl. He flipped his hair and looked her in the eye's. "Names Jasper...Nice to meet you Jess." He threw his arm over the table to shake her hand. "I don't talk to many people myself. I came to the conclusion, to not count on the people around you." He told her with a grin painted on his face. He had to admit, he liked her attitude. More people in this school should have that kind of attitude rather than just a grumpy, smart alec smirk all the time.

He crooked his head to the side seeing Ryan enter the café. "Great. He laughed. He shook his head and looked back towards Jess.

Jessica hesitantly gazed at Jasper’s hand before shaking it, blushing slightly at the introduction. It was understandable that he didn’t trust many people at this school, but his overall attitude seemed openly social, acting both kind and accepting towards the young lady before himself.

“I- I like that name. It seems mysterious” Jessica grins inwardly at his innocent complexion “I’m not really well known in this school, but I suppose this could be considered a big step forward for the both of us then”

Slightly pulling her hand back while grinning stupidly, she finally takes notice of Rowan and sighs deeply, before ducking her head and mumbling a few words of disappointment.

Jasper smiled at Jess, he peered over by Ryan than back again. "I like your name...That's good. I don't like being well known. mainly because if you know a lot o people and you do something stupid." He paused and gave a laugh. "everyone will know about it. he continued. Jasper took a few swigs of his water and set it back down.

He grinned at Jess as she mumbled a few words of disappointment to herself, "Don't worry if he tries anything, i'll be there to stop it." he said.

Jessica smiled lightly at Jasper’s comment, keeping her expression calm in the midst of shyness. But within only a few moments after this action, she was already opening up her lunch box, setting it on the table and grabbing a few contents such as fruits, vegetables and candy before saying a quick prayer of ‘thanks’ so she could eat her food in a steady-pace.

“I’m sorry for sending that note so suddenly,” she swallows her food quickly, adding “I guess I’ve always been one to jump into things without a seconds notice – this habit being one of the things which makes me a bit weird”

Grabbing a piece of cake from within her lunch box, Jessica enjoys the sweet-taste of frosting and berries, speaking softer now than before.

“I used to date Ryan once, but later on I’d learned that there were a few things about myself that he didn’t like” she shudders at the private memory, “It just never really worked out between the two of us, I suppose”

Regret seemed to tear Jessica apart to bits the longer she spoke, clearly remembering her last incident with Ryan which broke the two apart eternally. It was the day when he discovered where she came from. . . Who she was and what she currently is as a Changeling, both human and sprite among the first few years she has lived on Earth.

Jasper nodded at her as she spoke. "Maybe that's why he picks on you...that's childish to do in my opinion." He looked over at Jess and smiled. "you can all me Jay for short if you like. he told her. He took a deep breath and breathed out. Jay rose and flipped his chair around and tucked it in the table. He leaned against the wall.

"When your done want to take a walk around the school before heading back to class" He said to her as he scanned the lunch room for trouble. Jay didn't find any trouble lurking through out the room so he fixed his glared back on Jess and shot her a smile.

He couldn't help but smile at her, which he was puzzled by, he never was this comfortable around someone before.

Jessica nodded slightly in response to Jasper’s offer before sitting up from the table; hesitantly grabbing her lunch box and phone while doing so. In the weak attempt to break the short amount of silence, she slightly looked down at her watch, finding herself surprised by the realization of it nearing 11:00 AM.

It was risky, knowing the chance of herself transforming back into a Sprite before dawn, but this boy did seem trustworthy. . . Handsome, almost in her eyes.

“Sure,” she smiled sincerely at the boy, “I think we can go for a walk later today”

Taking in a deep breath of air, she slowly begins to walk away from the young teen, counting the minutes until School ends.
