Scenario: Thousands of years ago, a war raged between three factions, a war that continued without victor, and as such without end. The three warring factions are: Vampires, creatures who siphon energy or blood from the living, Werewolves, creatures who transform into wolves either during the full moon or in times of great stress, and Hunters, humans with the physical and mental capabilities of hunting down and killing vampires and werewolves. The war would have continued in full force eventually consuming the factions and leading to extinction, but three prophets came forward with a prophecy. This is that prophecy: "On the Three Thousandth year since the casting of this prophecy, a son will be born to the one considered the greatest hunter. This child will have a life forced upon him, and will establish himself as a member of a faction, which shall rule the others."

Unknown to the one spoken of in the prophecy, Jason Fallis, members of the factions surround him in the small town of Stealth, Ohio to monitor him. Children of hunters were often murdered by the other factions and so Jason's father abandoned him and his mother to obscure Jason's lineage.

Jason has a close friend, Jared Saraci, who is a werewolf... unknown to Jason.
A new transfer student to his school, who is named Sara Marris, is a vampire.
