God of Justice

0 · 341 views · located in Ashariel

a character in “The Gods”, as played by Blazin Beard

Description

God Name: Kildarien
Avatar Name: None. When Kildarien feels the need, he will bless a chosen. This usually happens during a battle, the blessing is easy to spot due to a golden light wrapping the warrior and increasing his strength and skill. The blessing ends if the warrior is slain or when the battle ends.
Title: God of Justice
God Gender: Male
Avatar Gender: Depends
Alignment: Neutral. True Justice does not take a side.
Terrain Preference: Near large forest and small rivers, so think inland germany.
Opinion of Mortals/Followers: Kiladrien does not have a personal race instead he is the patron god of the human city-state, Mordheim. He is a minor god to other humans, but Mordheim is his beloved city. Mordheim is the City of Justice, but that does not mean it is absolved of crime for humans can never be truly pure and good. The ruler of Mordheim uses what some would call draconian laws. If you steal, the magistrate of Mordheim will remove your hand. A effective if not brutal policy.

Civilization Name: Human city-state named Mordheim
Political System: Monarchy
King: Luther Huss
Queen: Elizabeth Huss
First Prince and Commander of the Mordheim army: Valten Huss
Look: Image
Description: Valten is tall at 6'1 with long blond hair and bright blue-green eyes. He has a strong butted chin with a dark 6 o'clock shadow that stretches across his chin. He is broad of shoulder and thin of waist earned from his long hours of training to be the warrior he is. He has large hands that are more used to gripping the sword than the pen.

Personality: Valten is a proud man. He loves his people, his family, and his duty. Since an early age has has been raised to be a prince and warrior. He is the First Prince of Mordheim, so his one duty is the commander of the army and the beloved figurehead of the people. He doesnt mind his place in the world as he loves his people. He was raised on the stories of mighty warriors and of the Proud, Noble, and Just God Kildarien. His only goal is to be worthy enough in the eyes of his god, people, and his father.

Equipment: Full-plate, chainmail, and the legendary family blade: Justicar. A blade that was forged by the dwarves and supposedly blessed by Kiladrein. Rather true or not it is a fine blade. It has strange dwarfish runes etched into the blade itself, but only a dwarf would be able to tell what it meant.

Second Prince of Mordheim: Richard Huss
Look: Image
Description: Richard is much like the rest of his family with the long blond hair with blue-green eyes. Sadly, unlike his older brother he was not given the warriors build. He is only 5'10 and was born with a frail body. He has long, elegant fingered hands that are very soft as he hasnt been holding a sword ever since he could walk like his older brother. He has much smoother features than Valten. Where Valten has a rugged handsome look, Richard has a softer smoother look.

Personality: Richard has always lived in the shadow of his older brother fame. He has gotten used to it though, and he does love his brother even if he knows he will never be the great legendary hero of the people. He tried when he was younger to become a great warrior like Valten, but his body couldnt handle it. He decided instead to read becoming a great scholar among the people of Mordheim. He is known as a great strategist, but it is not enough to earn the love of his father who thinks honor can only be gained on the front lines sword in hand and dead orc at your feet.

Equipment: He has to appear a prince in battle so still wears full-plate armor, along with a longsword and shield, although he is never on the front lines his father prefers to keep up appearances of the strong, noble Huss family.

(a few other prince and princess. I will put them up when they become relevant.)

Mordheim Army:
Mordheims army is comprised of "State Troops". They are professional soldiers that are upkeep-ed by the city itself although compared to dwarf and elven warriors they are of a lesser quality. There are four main groups of State Troops:
Halberdiers: Warriors armed with, their namesake, the halberd. They are armored with a only a breastplate and shield. The mainstay troops of Mordheim due to their strength and flexibility.
Spearman: Warriors armed with spear and shield. They are usually only armored in leather and if they are lucky chainmail. These units are used mostly to garrison towns and villagers due to their low cost.
Swordsmen: The elite of Mordheim. They are armed with swords and shields and given a breastplate, helm, and chainmail making them the heaviest and most trained of the Mordheim army.
GreatSwords: These men are chosen from the very best and most loyal of the Mordheim army. One must have earned a mighty honor, or slain a mighty beast to even be considered into this group of men. They are the bodyguard of the Mordheim Royal Family, and so are the best armed with their namesake a greatsword and full-plate armor.

Mordheim does use militia usually as archers, but has been known to higher mercenaries into their army these units are all dubbed "Free-companies".

Mordheim Tactics:
The Mordheim forces rely heavily on highly disciplined infantry backed with cheap militia archers. The army tends to make a strong battle line in which to use their better disciplined and longer reached weapons (spears and halberds) to make life for the enemy difficult.

The front line which consist of spearman and halberdiers who use their shields to make a strong wall against arrows, as the lightly armed militia hides behind this strong solid wall to fire waves of arrows at enemy.

The elite swordsmen are used to guard the weak flanks of the spear and halberds, moving only if the line would be better protected with a longer, thinner flank.

The Command unit of Greatswords wait behind the archers ready to deploy at any weak points or counter any rear attacks. With their greatweapons they are great at dealing with heavy armored opponents and Calvary.

God Appearance:

Avatar Appearance: Depends
Personality:
God: Kildarien is a cold god as justice has no emotions. Justice is the removal of base thoughts and the movement into the higher plain of true thought. It is pure and unbiased. This is how Kildarien is as well for he is Justice Personified, well or so the other gods think. In truth, Kildarien can be sensitive at times, usually only when it concerns Namea who he has a soft spot for.

Other:

Mordheim Economy:

The city of Mordheim is not located near any large bodies of water. It has little to do with large scale trading, but does earn decent money thanks to their mountain passes. Many countries who wish to trade with the holds of Zhufbar or Karak-a-Karak the dwarven capital must pass through the lands of Mordheim. They earn much money by acting as a way-point and last rest stop before they reach the mighty and harsh mountains, many caravans looking stock up on supplies before entering the last step of the voyage.

They have a strong foothold in agriculture thanks to the rich soil produced by all the dead leaves the come from the nearby forest. This strong agriculture makes Mastalki and Aisha popular deities, although far behind Kildarien in popularity. The people do not grow cash crops, more corn, potatoes, and wheat than anything.

Another source of income for the city is foresting. Mordheim is surrounded by large pine forest, and it is a major source of income for the city-state. The acquiring, processing, and selling of lumber to the larger nearby countries. Mordheim does have some minor mining communities at the base of the mountains, but its not truly important as the dwarves have metal monopolized.

Mordheim:

The white city of justice some call it. It is a very large city settled at the top of a small hill surrounded by the natural forest of the lands. It has two curtain walls both of which surround the entire city. The first wall is only 15 feet high and 10 feet deep. It has towers at every 150 paces or so with arrows slits to fire out of. On top of every 3rd tower is a ballistae in order to help take down enemy siege weapons.

Behind this outer wall is where many of the commoners of the city live. It is usually decently crowded with people traveling from home to work to the market place. It is the most heavily populated section of the city.

Behind the commoner houses is the 2nd wall. Standing at almost 25 ft high and 20 feet deep it is a very large walls with equally very large towers every 10 paces. On every 3rd tower is a Trebuchet. Behind this wall are the homes of the nobles, barracks, and temples. There are small temples to Nemea, Riso and Raven, Aleron, Mori, Kendi and Zari, Ke'yei, Aisha, Mastalki, and Asiysia. There is a large Cathedral to Kildarien. At the center of the city is the Grand Palace of the Huss family.
