Set back in the Era of knights, Kings and Queens, etc, etc. No technology what-so-ever.

At one time in the Kingdom of Luno the savage beasts known as Lycans ruled the land. The throne had been taken over by an almighty lycan that went by the name Tohopka. In his reign he forced all mundane to work under him and his brethren. He felt that Lycans were the superior, and that humans were filthy scum only born to worship and serve them. It was true; Lycans were stronger, faster, and seemingly smarter than that of your average human, so for a long time life went on like this...
Humans, slaves to Lycans, doing their bidding, performing whatever task there was to be given, until that one day...
A human man named Xavier had been planning, training, and waiting for the day to kill King Tohopka, and that day came soon enough. Xavier himself was a slave, a servant to the mighty King himself, one of Tohopka's fondest at that. Xavier studied the King's daily patterns, and one evening, when the King laid in his chambers, dreaming dreams dripping with power, gold, and women- Xavier struck. When the King's advisors found him a blade had been plunged deep into his chest, and a crumbled note laid at his head, on pillow in a small puddle of blood that fell from his lips. They could hardly make out the words, but the note read this:

'This is a day to fear. Because you see, on this day Lycans will cease to rule over the Kingdom of Luno. I, Xavier Abandschon, am your new King.'

You would think that the lycans would have tried to rise against this single, "puny" human.. But they did not. Anyone who killed the great Tohopka must be a force to be reckoned with, yes? Once finding out a mundane man had taken over and murdered King Tohopka other humans began to rebel, and rise against the oh-so-feared lycans. Humans found that silver, once plunged into the flesh of a lycan weakened them greatly, and stopped them from shifting into their "beastly" forms. They also found that the only way to kill a lycan was to behead it with a pure silver blade, and that this only could happen when the lycan was in its "wolf form." Ever since that day lycans have been slaves to humans. To keeps lycans at bay local blacksmiths started creating "collars." These collars are made of pure silver, and the "Masters" of the lycans use these, placing it one them to keep them from shifting. It has been working quite well, for now...

King Xavier is still in power, ruling over the Kingdom of Luno, but he has been hearing rumours; some of the lycans might just be trying to rebel against him...



Okay, I'm leaving the plot a bit open, because I want this role play to be rather character-based. However, this is how everything is "set up." This is the loose plot-line:
For the time being Lycans are slaves, servants, workers, whatever you want to call them, to the Humans. They have a certain "Master" they must work for, live with, etc. Almost every human despises the "wrenched beasts" and fear them, and for the longest time, before Tohopka came into power, a war was raging between the two beings. Many humans keep the silver collars (that were mentioned above) on their lycan, because most lycans themselves hate the humans. That being said, more than half would shift and kill a human the first chance they got. Of course, there are some who want to understand the humans, just like there are some humans who want to understand the lycans. It all just depends.

In this role play it is against the King's Law for lycans and humans to form any relationship other than the relationship of a slave and his/her owner. If there is any suspicion that something else is going on between the two beings, the King will get involved. This has not happened many times in the past, but the couple of times it has.. Both human and lycan were killed. Also, anyone who knew of such relationship was slaughtered as well. Cruel? Maybe just a little..

Obviously, there will be forbidden romances, etc, etc. That is partly the whole idea. But it's not all about that. If you're portraying a lycan, think about rebeling, wanting to escape, trying to escape, etc. If portraying a human think about the King, are with him or against him? Do you despise the lycans? Have that hurt you somehow in the past? And so forth. You get the point? =)

Lycans
- They can shift at any time(without a silver collar), but during a full moon they are forced to shift. Obviously, during this time, if a werewolf is wearing a collar they are very, very uncomfortable, and in terrible pain(since they cannot shift and they're going against there nature not being able to, etc, etc.). Many owners like watching their lycan suffer, however, there are a few that actually take their lycans' collar off during this time, having made a room for them to shift in.. Just on nights of the full moon, that is.

- A lycan can only be created during the Harvest Moon, and it has to be by a pure-blooded lycan.

- Silver is pretty much deadly to lycans if it penetrates them in the right area. No. Holding a fork will not kill them. But say someone stabs a fork into their hand. Of course, it would hurt anyone, even a human, but to lycans..It's sorta like they're drugged. If they're stabbed in the heart with silver, they're technically "dead" until the silver is removed. Like stated above, a lycan can only truly die once being beheaded with silver in their wolf form.

- The silver collars they're made to wear has tiny spikes to the inside that dig into their flesh. This being so, it won't kill them, but causes immense discomfort and pain. They cannot shift, and some even wish they were dead.

- Their Wolf Form is that of a regular wolf. However, they are a great deal larger than your average wolf, almost the size of a full grown horse. They are also stronger and faster. However, females can only get to the size of a full-grown pony at the most. Because, naturally, female werewolves are uncommon and rare. Recently, more female werewolves have been discovered.

- In their wolf form most lycans cannot control themselves, it takes a lot of practice. Luckily, control is easy to learn in this state-of-mind.

- Lycans can also talk to each other in their wolf forms telepathically. This itself takes a lot of practice because you must expand your mind to that one person/ group of people. It does not just happen, but is possible. They can only do this in that form, however.

- They can heal quicker than your average human, in seconds really. But, this is not possible if silver in embedded into their body somewhere. Actually, if they do have silver in them, it prevents them from healing at all. Most masters kill their lycans when annoyed by leaving their collar on them, cutting them open, and letting them bleed-out slowly. It's extremely painful and plan torture.

- Lycans, even in their human form, act a lot like a wolf. They have many wolf-like qualities and behaviors. (keep this in mind) They nuzzle, nip, cock their heads to the side, growl, snarl and so on like a wolf. It seems to terrify humans..

- Lycans usually crave meat. Raw, bloodied meat, and need it at least once a week. If not they go into a crazed frenzy; it can get pretty bad.

- Just like regular wolves, once a lycan finds a "mate" they mate for life.

- In their human forms they are stronger and a bit faster than humans.





= This role play is set back in the time of Kings and Queens, knights, things like that. No technology like cell phones, tvs, etc. Just use your head on this! xD Also, obviously, no cars.. People use horses to get by in this time era, if not that..Then they walk. :P =

= You would think that most lycans would not be captured, because they would simply be "smart" and not shift in front of a mundane. It's not that easy. Many lycans have wolf-like qualities(as stated above) and usually give themselves away at some point. Plus, lycans have a temper.. And with a temper.. They seem to shift uncontrolably. =

= Not every "Master" aKa Lycan Owner can be sweet and like their lycan(at first). Don't be afraid to make them mean! Unforgiving! Be creative! Same with the lycans! Would you be nice if you were enslaved? If you had a slab of silver on your neck with spikes digging into your flesh? I didn't think so. =

= There is a market in the "Town Square" where the King has hired a man to sell lycans off as slaves. If you portray a lycan, this is where you will start off in the beginning of the role play. =

= Most lycans in the town square are in individual, iron cages with their hands bound behind their backs. All have on silver collars. =

= Humans may start off where ever, but should somehow be making their way to the town square, where the lycans are sold. =
