An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. But that's not nessecarily a bad thing
Personality ~ Koda's every bit as dangerous as he looks. He is lethal. He is highly intelligent and very skilled. He has a knack for intimidating people and a tendency to be overconfident. He is very sardonic and occasionally bitter. He is also very cynical and disrespectful. He doesn't view many people deserving of respect. He used to respect people, blindly so to say, but he soon learned that respect has to be earned. A high position or a lot of power doesn't mean someone deserves respect. Respect has to be earned, as does trust. He trusts only three people. He is a firm believer in "guilty until proven innocent." He hates everybody until they give him a reason to like them. He is always on guard, always waiting for something bad to happen. He is always prepared for a fight. He moves with a predatory gait, like he's hunting something. If he wasn't completely blind, he would be unstoppable.
Recently, he's become a little less cold and hostile. Since reuniting with Midnight, he's gained a reason for living and thus a reason to be less antagonistic towards everyone. Although, most people will still find him generally unpleasant. Yet, people are constantly talking to him anyway. He can't imagine why.

Equipment ~ Koda usually has his walking stick with him, to keep him from walking into things. He thought getting a seeing eye dog would not only be inconvenient but horribly ironic. Since he has sharpened senses the walking stick is enough. When he is walking throughout an unfamiliar room he will use his walking stick to guide him but will also run his other hand along surfaces as he walks.
History ~ A former Northern Delegate, Koda was given the same training as any of them due to the fact that he was the same as all of them. He was not born blind. But he was born with the ability to blind others, which the delegates deemed as highly useful. He was a perfect delegate; respectful, obedient, lethal, intelligent. His superiors took great advantage of his useful ability. Exploited it even. They were constantly trying to get him to improve upon his ability; expand it to its greatest potential. At one point he was able to blind ten people at once for up to an hour minutes. But that wasn't enough for them. They wanted him to be able to blind someone indefinitely. So he kept trying. He was overworked constantly.
Eventually he was able to blind someone permanently. Unfortunately, that person was himself. He wasn't even sure exactly how it happened. It had happened during a training exercise. Koda had been concentrating, attempting to blind a prisoner that had been handed over to him to practice with. It was a new prisoner and little was known about him or his abilities. If anyone had bothered to find out what this man could do, maybe Koda would still have his sight. He attempted to blind the prisoner, but the prisoner possessed the ability to deflect attacks. So Koda's attempt to blind him backfired, blinding himself permanently.
They tried to reverse it - for months. But nothing worked. Eventually they just gave up and told Koda there was no place for him there anymore. The very people who had raised him were now turning him out onto the street. And that, was when he hardened. That was the day he stopped blindly respecting and trusting people. That was the day he turned cold.
Of course, they gave him some money before he left. A lot of money - to make up for stealing his sight and kicking him out of his home. He used the money to survive. But he felt useless - without a purpose. Which is why he's in the market for a new purpose - a new pack or coven. Well he happened upon the Springside pack, where his old team happened to be handling a situation with a notoriously troublesome Russian vampire Cray.
While in the process of dealing with Cray, Midnight and Koda rekindled their old flame and eventually realized their love for each other. Now, Koda is both excited and anxious about returning to the delegates. He's happy that he gets to stay with Midnight and have a purpose, but he's anxious of how the other delegates will react to his return. He's not sure how he well he'll be able to preform his delegate duties now that he's lost his sight.
