Personality

One would assume from his name and appearance that Dark, as he even refers to himself, would be cold hearted and pessimistic but this is not the case. Indeed, Dark possesses a passive energeticism and a constant desire to be working. A paradoxical blend of caution and recklessness, Dark is the type to jump into a situation expecting for it to go wrong and have a score of backup plans to deal with them. He also has a love of retro video games, hover-boarding and, after being Gene-spliced with a feline, an insatiable love of fish.

Morals Dark has a fiery enthusiasm coupled with a callous willingness to take whatever steps are necessary to achieve his end goals, whether that be theft to outright killing, he'll do it without remorse if the situation justifies it though he refrains from indiscriminate killing in order to avoid stooping to the level of the government thugs, keeping it instead to a high degree of professionalism.

Philosophy "Life is hell and i love it."

Special Abilities/Skills In addition to his skills in hacking, Dark has abnormally quick reflexes, heightened hearing, heightened sense of smell and night vision.

Activities/Organizations Though skilled, Dark is by no means a pro hacker yet, though he knows some people that are, including a few members of the original 404, courtesy of his father.

Hobbies When not busy with anything, Dark likes to download old style video games. Aside from that, he is also pretty good on a hover-board, currently on the newest model "Wyvern"

Interests A practical interest in weaponry, Dark likes to work on creating his own equipment, hoping to one day make himself into a kind of cyber mercenary against the government.

Problems Dark tends to take a very objective view of himself. His sarcastic sense of humor and complete lack of anything resembling modesty sometimes results in comments that would make the average person a little uncomfortable. This extends to the point that he sees his own body as merely a tool to be used as the situation calls. This leads to him taking greater risks then a person would normally take.

Equipment

Weapons Dark relies more on stealth then actual combat ability, though he does carry a small laser knife, a pistol and flash bombs and a single Electro-Magnetic Pulse for emergencies

Defensive Normally, his loose clothing allows for speed and mobility but if he suspects a dangerous situation, the baggy black shirt can be used to conceal an undershirt of protective armor. Unable to acquire Micro PLaD, Dark decided to improvise, making his undershirt out of mirror fragments to protect from laser weaponry

Transportation Always sporting the newest model hoverboard, Dark currently rides the Wyvern, a high sensitivity model designed to provide the greatest control and maneuverability without decreasing its speed. His board is, of course, jet black.

"Tools of the Trade" Along with the Glove, Dark prefers to hide the fact that his right eye is also cybernetic, pirated from government information. Being imperfect in design, its visual hacking capabilities are limited by distance to the target.

History

Nicholas Raizen was born into what could be rightly considered an "Upper Class Hacker" family in Chicago. His father Jason, also known to the Public as Nemesis was one of the greatest hackers of his time and taught his son Nick the ways of the computer from an early age. As a kid, it was Nick's dream to be just like his father and as he grew, so to did his dreams to surpass his father, the Legendary Nemesis. As for Nemesis, he had not only skill but contacts and therefore access to technology, giving some of that knowledge by extension to his son.

At age 15, Nick felt that he was good enough to assist his father in his work and he offered himself for it only to be harshly denied. Though the boy did indeed have talent, it was no where near enough to surpass Nemesis. So, in an act of teenage rebellion, Nick underwent gene-splicing to incorporate feline DNA into his body. His eyes changed into the slitted pupils of a cat, gaining night vision in exchange for his ability to see color. His hearing and smell improved also, with the additions of sharp pointed canines set into his jaws and the retractable ivory claws in his fingertips. Along more cosmetic lines, He also ended up with a sleek black furred tail extending from the base of his spine.

As expected, his father was not happy. In fact, he was furious and that night, as Nick lay in bed nursing his bruises he decided for certain to do whatever it took to surpass his father. To that end, he started piling on the real world application, sticking initially to practical uses like bank accounts in order to be able to afford the best Hover-board gear. The months passed but his father still never forgave the gene splicing incident. Personally, Nick thought it was sexy having a tail, but his fathers constant disparaging attitude left the boy self conscious about his body.

At the age of 17, after another argument with his father and in another bout of teenage rebelliousness, Nick made an attempted raid on what was believed to be a minor government building used as a storage house for Droids. Of course the operation didn't go as planned. Being faced with one of the Devoid, Nick was lucky to escape at all with his right eye gouged out in the scuffle, he ended up getting away on his hoverboard. Arriving home, Nick found the place ransacked and smears of what could only be his fathers blood across the wall, but no body to be found. The surveillance crew watching the house saw the boy go in but when they checked later, he was gone.

He ended up delirious from blood loss on the doorstep of one of his fathers old friends who took the news of Nemeses execution pretty hard and used his influence to get Nick a cybernetic eye made from stolen government data. Though the model was incomplete, it did have limited hacking capabilities based on range to the target. From then on, Nick took on the alias of Perfect Dark and set out to improve himself enough to be capable of taking on the CIA and living to tell about it.

Since then, two years have passed and though the boy keeps a few places around to lay low and a home base located down in southern Arizona, he prefers to keep to the road, never staying in one place for too long. His hoverboard allows for long distance travel so he travels the country using hit-and-run tactics to gather information independantly, also partially to prove his own skills to the people who think that the boy just skates by on the influence of friends in high places.
