In the Age of Heroes, when the world was primitive there existed a great wealth of magic and raw energy that ran through the Earth. This energy caused life to take on many different forms, imagination was its artisan. And a great creature was born, from the most corrupt and twisted of imaginations, The Dragon Lord. The Dragon Lord was smart as he was tainted, he knew how to harness the energies of the earth, how to tie them to the land, make them readily malleable. And so the world that had no bounds was made solid and tangible, the writhing form became a solid sphere, shaped by it's rapid solidification. In his wisdom and power the Dragon Lord knew that the races of men could still harness the powers of magic, and so he sought to out law it's use and safe guard his power. So the world fell to the reign of the Dragon Lord until the dawn of a new age of heroes. A band of heroes, a mysterious girl able to use magic in song, and a traitor to the Dragon Lord conquered his armies and fell the great lord leaving his throne bare. In this moment, the traitor of the Lord known as General Abraxas, slew one of his fellows, and bound the girl's soul to him. He took the throne for himself and moved the world forward to a new era in which those attuned to the ethers were no longer to to rule. Instead, Abraxas started the first age of man. Abraxas and his "queen" set forth the precedents by which the supernal races would govern themselves. And time marched on through the aeons, through millennium. The story changed and was shaped by the people Abraxas set free. All save for a few, amongst them was Dalimar. As the years wore on so too did Dalimar's patience. In the late years of man, at the dawn of the 2nd millennium that man cared to count, Dalimar engulfed the world in war. His madness was subdued by some of his fellow survivors of Abraxas' reign and newly arisen heroes of the age.

This is set in the world after the war. After all was set well again, and the Fathers who tore the world to shreds have faded into the aether. Echoes of the past still ripple through the world, but the world of men have all but forgotten their torrid past. Now is the Age of Sons, set to repent for the sins of the fathers.
