Introduction
- Ted Hughes
There once was a mother, she had six children. "My children shall have the best." She announced in with an undeserved air of superiority. For her children to have the best the mother thought of a plan, she stood at a crossroads and summoned a demon, otherwise known as the Soul Trader. The Soul Trader grinned at the woman's offer. She offered him her soul, which would no doubt end up in Hell as, long as she got one last year with her soul, to see her children do great things. In the Soul Trader's wicked grin, she saw his deceit. She knew he was a liar but, demon's can not break their oath, they made the deal. The woman's soul in one year, in exchange for great talents and, eternal life for her blessed children.
What the Soul Trader didn't mention, what he never mentioned to his victims was what he liked to call "Interest." A way to make up for imperfectness of a soul. This woman's soul was greedy, arrogant, and smug. Not at all the type of soul the Soul Trader would sell on the black market. Her re-compensation would have to be great and, it was.
The mother returned home, she explained to the children about how special they were and, the terms of the demon. The older children began to cry while younger children stared at her bewildered. "It's okay, we have another year." She chided and wiped their tears. But, she did not think that she would have to pay interest, the Soul Trader broke down the door, grabbing the woman and, leaving the children shuddering in the corner. He took her to the Dark Dimension, the top most layer of hell where, vampires, demons, and other creatures lived and, did their business. He had promised the woman he would not take her soul for another year, he could not break his words. So, he bound her in a room, to spend her last year in misery and, torture. He wasn't satisfied, he soon went back to the mortal world and took the youngest child, cursing it to the same fate.
As the mother suffered and, wasted away, barely kept alive as she tried to protect her child. Her other children began to do amazing things, they went on to become child stars. They were eerily beautiful, had powers that belonged only to fictional character and, they didn't age. They had forgotten all about their mother and, younger sister. The Soul Trader demon had altered their memory of that night, they could not remember their mother or sister, just their own greatness. The demon thought that these kids were his greatest success, that when they grew up he could use their great power. The Soul Trader was too caught up in his pride to realize his memory magic was weakening. Over the course of six months the children began to remember, they all knew one thing, they had to save their mother and sister before the year was over.
They found a portal to the Dark Dimension, preparing for the dangers that faced them. As humans they could not enter the Dark Dimension without passing numerous tasks, they must face their tasks bravely and, prove wiser and less greedy than their mother. Once they do this they can enter the horrible Dark Dimension to save their mother. However, the tasks are very hazardous, and the creatures of the Dark Dimension will attack at the scent of human blood possible murdering them or making them slaves. And it's not like the Soul Trader demon is willing to have the souls taken, leaving his service unpaid for. Will the children rescue their mother?
(Okay everyone we are starting so, as of now the only character spots open will be for a vampire, demon, or the Soul Trader Demon, it would practically impossible to have you join in seamlessly with the rest of the kids in the family! So, everyone with a role, we are starting. Late people who want to join, your options are now limited. There will be sequels/ remakes of this, if it goes well.)

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 3 authors

I held back tears, tears I had been holding back all week, I gulped, nervously. It had been one week since the Vain Days had ended, the day reality hit and, the icy cold pain raged in my chest. I knew what we had to do, we had to get our mother back somehow. Demons, can't break their word and, he told my mother she could keep her soul for another year. She was out there somewhere, I assumed she would have been taken to the Dark Dimension, it was the only part of Hell human's could stay alive in well, not exactly it was full of dangerous creatures who would kill a human the first chance they got, or enslave them. That's why I was so nervous, if I wanted her back it would mean I would have to endanger us all.
I had done some research on the Dark Dimension. There was only one entrance for humans and, it was very busy with vampires bringing in slaves and, demon's bringing in soul's. It was located in the catacombs of Paris France. The catacombs had been made to make more room for the living, of course no one wanted to live in underground tunnels so, they moved the dead here to gain extra space from unused cemeteries. Their remains were embedded into the walls, I shuddered at the thought. Once all of the lost souls were packed into a wall it created a portal deep in the catacombs, demons and vampires were drawn by the easy access portal. May tourists visit there, not going in deep enough to see what was really in the catacombs and, even if they did wander that far in, they would be made into slaves, or food.
I flinched at the mere thought of wondering lost in haunted tunnels, that were demon infested, knowing that around every corner there could be something waiting to enslave me. I sat up on the couch, I had been asleep up until a few minutes ago. I sat there musing for a second. Should we go? Could I risk my life as well as theirs? We did have powers but, to what extent? How far would they get us in a world of danger? I guess I shouldn't be the only to decide. I got up off the couch, calling to the others.
"Should we go?" I asked, knowing they what I mean. I had shared all of this with them earlier.
I was half hoping they would say yes and, half hoping they would say no. I knew I wanted to save her but, I couldn't set out on my own, I would day in a second. I also couldn't just endanger my family over something that seemed hopeless. I frowned, and fidgeted waiting for their answer, with wide eyes. It was such a nasty Catch-22.

Tsuki looked up from his thoughts as his older sister came up to him. He wasn't sure how to answer that question. Well, he knew what he what he wanted to answer it with. He wanted to tell her how much he thought that no, they shouldn't go. They should just remain here and live out their lives as orphans. Normal, freakish orphans. Oh, the contradictory..
He thought his mother was dim and deluded for making the decision she made all that time ago. What was wrong with being normal? Not that he had any problems with how he was now or anything, but being normal didn't seem all that worse. At least that way they had a chance at keeping their lives. Now, his sister expected him and their other siblings to go in after and save her? From what? The trouble she caused and put herself in in the first place? He would have shaken his head if he wasn't sure that Barkley was probably watching.
There was only one reason why he was going: to get his youngest sibling back. "Yeah, we should go," Tsuki responded, voice a little restrained from the high and quick decision making he had running through his mind.

I scrunched my eyebrows down, I really didn't want to go, that's all I wanted was for them to give me reason not to go, to tell me it was too risky. Of course, I knew it was unlikely but, a girl could dream. My mother was a clueless, conceited woman but, she was still my mother. I was so conflicted, while part of me wanted to go to the Dark Dimension, kick some butt, save my sister and, my mother then, talk some sense into my mother. The other side, the more ruthless wanted my mother to live with the consequences of her decision, lesson learned. But, then again, what was the point of learning a lesson if you didn't live to use that knowledge? I shook my head, roughly. Not in disagreement but, in denial.
I knew we couldn't dawdle anymore, I hopped up from the couch not, caring if they didn't want to go. It had been six months and, who knew how long it would take us to get to the Dark Dimension. " She messed up. Messed up, big time but, she's our mother and, they have Marianna to. I won't stand for it, I won't sat back and, let that disgusting Demon have her soul, or anyone's soul. I am going to kill that demon." I said in a burst of passion, I didn't yell instead my voice grew gradually quieter and, more intense. I didn't wait to hear what the others said, I sprinted down the hallway and, threw open the door to my room, blindly throwing my things in a bag, not even stopping to think about what I would need.

He put a comforting hand on Lyris' shoulder, staring down at the picture she had in her hands before quickly looking away from it as it brought a sick, churning feeling to his stomach. He didn't like the feeling of nostalgia. "Of course we can," he assured her with a bright smile. "We can do anything."

"We should leave as soon as possible. I'm sure mom has money laying around the house. We need a plane to Paris." I sniffled and, got up off the floor. I gently removed Lyris's hand from my arm and, picked a few of the extra things I had thrown into the bag, showing them the tantrum was over and, I was prepared to be reasonable.
I looked at the picture that Lyris had removed from my bag, I took softly and, examined my mother's face in the picture. It was a sad expression but, somehow smug at the same time. The sadness on her face was also mixed with want, it was clear in her eyes, that this woman, as she looked longingly at the children on her lap that they weren't enough. I wasn't enough. That's why she had ruined everything. I swiftly released the photo, letting it drop to the floor and, seeing the frame shatter. I looked back to my dresser and, grabbed the photo of our younger sister, Marietta, instead.
It may sound stupid but, breaking the picture seemed to have taken all the hate out of me, like breaking the picture, also broke my mother's memory, broke through the betrayal I felt from her. I took a deep breath, feeling somehow lighter.
"We can do this, I know we can, for Marietta."
