Introduction

This story began hundreds of years ago in the mind of a young boy, Rufus Wite.

The boy was like any other boy of his age. He had his tantrums, bruises, and his years of rebellion. But there was one thing that separated him from the rest: he was a genius. And not just any genius; he was by far the smartest person ever born, little to anyone's knowledge. His father was a scientist so naturally Rufus explored his father's interest, and by the age of 15-years-old, had surpassed his father's capabilities to unreachable heights. This slowly drove his father mad, eventually killing himself and his wife, the mother of Rufus, for their sins of bringing him into the world. This tragic event happened when Rufus was in his late teens, sending him into a world of solitude and regret. He had no friends for he could not connect to anyone on a personal basis. His days were spent locked in his lab, solving mysteries of the world and keeping his findings to himself.

He developed one particular interest that would eventually lead to an obsession: Time travel. The myths and stories in literature paired with his own scientific breakthroughs was what drove him to his discovery.

Papers, books, clocks, maps, compasses, scopes, crystals, and what-nots covered every inch of his home. The only time Rufus would leave the confines of his space was to pick up more coffee and bread at the local bakery every Friday. The few people that saw him out in the streets described him as scruffy, disheveled, strange, and always talking to himself. Until one day he stopped appearing all-together. Not only that, but when authorities came to collect his unpaid taxes, there was no sign of him. The house he lived in had been completely emptied out, only cobwebs and dirty dishes left behind. When locals in the area were asked if they saw him move, everyone's answer was the same: Not a chance, he would never leave his home.

So what exactly happened? Rumors spread that the mad scientist actually figured out his crazy time travel theory, but of course that belief only existed within the rumors. No one truly could say where he went to, and he was never heard from again. At least to the people of his generation....

And this is where the basis of your journey begins.

Rufus Wite discovered a pocket in space and time, and with his tedious calculations, was able to reach this mystical place. The details of how he was able to reach such a place will never completely be understood. The atmosphere was indeed livable, and the main mineral: Titantium, a crystal-like stone of blue and green, that contained a magnificent amount of pure, chaotic energy. It was this crystal he was able to manipulate to his liking, and would be the main ingredient to fuel is time machine.

Image

He named this floating pocket Titania after the mineral, which he had also named. Where planet Earth revolved around a continuum in time, this pocket knew of no such thing. It was the only place where nothing grew older or younger, simply frozen. Rufus's intelligence seemed to have no end. He was set on turning Titania into a utopia. Rufus spent the next hundred years time traveling to different eras on Earth, stealing people of all different talents and professions and trapping them in Titania to create his very own civilization. There was nothing his captives could do, for none of them knew how to escape his grip or control his time machine. They had to follow his orders, build homes, buildings, ships, everything to his liking and design. If any rebelled, Rufus was known to send one back to the very beginning of Earth's existence, a very volatile and dangerous time. No one wished for that fate. And so the hoarding of people began in his journey to creating a "perfect" society. He time-napped geniuses, athletes, musicians, doctors, construction workers, kings and queens, celebrities, even exotic animals that he liked. The only time he would age is when he would make these visits back to Earth's dimension.

For some reason or another, Rufus picked you to live in his utopia, or dystopia, depending on how you personally view it. This means you have something special or unique about you that he felt was worthy enough to better Titania. Will you thrive under Rufus's rule, or will you rebel in any way you can? Already there are secret societies forming, trying to develop a time machine to escape. These are the people who cannot forget their planet Earth. Then there are those who want nothing to do with their past life and will do everything in the control to protect Rufus and Titania.

*Update:

The Games of Titania

Since people are being collected from different eras and timeframes, cultures and personalities are going to be extremely different. It is more likely that people won't get along out of fear or discrimination. Yet, there is one thing everyone does have in common- they all enjoy a good game. Rufus made sure to collect some of the greatest minds from Rome to help form and build an arena, or how they liked to refer to it as the Coliseum of Titania. It is located right in the middle between The Court of Royals and Delinquent Cove. You don't have to be an athlete to participate. The sporting events can be at times life-threatening. Of course, the more dangerous the sport, the larger the prize for the winner. Rufus has occasionally let winners return to Earth, if just for a brief period of time. Will you participate?

The Court of Royals

A utopia would not be a utopia if not for pampered nobility, would it not? At least, that was Rufus' opinion. He always enjoyed the old stories of kings and queens, and so the region was made. Right next to a border of a plunging cliff laid the land of the Royals. Why was this part of Titania so different from the rest? The most fresh water and other resources came from here. Those who lived in this area weren't all of royal blood, but were definitely of noble upbringings. It is said the higher up in status (according to Rufus), the more likely he will give you opportunities to receive gifts from your native land. Rufus's daughter [more info in character history] liked to socialize in this area. Music and wine constantly flowed, followed by many other forms of entertainment. Come here if you are searching for connections or a better lifestyle-- of course, the only way you can get in is if you are a loyal follower and believer of Rufus. Despite this area being heavy guarded, those not welcome do find their way in.

Delinquent Cove

The harder Rufus pushes for a Utopia, the more some citizens begin to resent it all. Crimes break out the most in this part of Titania, despite a significant presence of authority. The danger can be attractive when time stands so still. The restless need an avenue for adventure. Some are just bored and need a good fight. This is the place to be. It holds more hidden buildings and rooms than any other part of Titania, which means rebels can have more hiding places to plan a revolt. Any mention of a rebellion is keep secret, for it will take master planning to take any form of control of Rufus and his time machine.

******
The only race available is human. Humans do no hold any special 'super power', but the blue crystal titantium does hold mystical properties of unmeasured power. This crystal has been known to enhance normal human abilities, so many people have their own stock pile of these crystals and commonly keep one handy somewhere on the body for protection and energy.

Your profession can be anything. Keep in mind though that Rufus didn't randomly pick people. You were chosen for a reason. Whether that be because of your profession, history, or mind is up to you.

Here is the really fun part. You can be from any time era. Ancient Egyptian? Go right ahead. Viking? Sure, why not? Samurai from pre-industrial Japan? No one is stopping you. The only thing I ask is to not pick an iconic figure of the past. For example, you can't be Caesar Augustus or Attila the Hun. You can make up fictional icons if you want, but using real figures would limit your character development. Besides, it is always fun to create a character all your own.

For simplicity's sake, let's just pretend once your character has been taken out of your time era into Titania, they know English fluently. They can still have memories of their native language but there has to be a universal one that they all use to communicate. Be creative about it.

Toggle Rules

1. Have fun, be creative and push yourself to the limits.

2. Don't control other character unless you have their permission. Don't worry, you will have a lot of NPC's at your disposal.

3. Be as active as you can. This doesn't mean you have to be sure to check the RP every day (though that wouldn't be a bad thing! ^_^). If you think you're going to be gone for a week or more, let me and others know so we can work around it. And don't worry, you won't be kicked out if you have to be gone for a while. Just keep me posted. If you ARE going to be around, and are wanting to join the RP, then you should definitely check every other day or so. Everyone loves to post and we all know the frustrating feeling of not knowing when we can post because we're waiting on someone. Don't be that someone. :P If you can donate 30 minutes out of your day to get a post in, that would be great. I have faith in you!

4. Quality is always better than quantity. BUUUUUT, this doesn't mean that a few sentences is worthy. You can NOT fit any form of quality in a few sentences. Try and aim for at least 500 words per post. The beginning of RP's are always a little shorter, but once we get into the meat of the plot, it would be beneficial for everyone if you are as descriptive and detailed as you can be. Try and make the image in your head come to life in your words. Share your imagination.

5. BE NICE to others! Let's be one happy family! :D

6. Photo for your character.... it can be anime or real life. Mine will be anime but they are of very nice quality. I don't want to see any of you use some novice drawing, mk? If you have questions about this, you can PM me and I can look at the photo you want to use. Deviantart.com has a lot of great images you could use.

The Time Traveler's Obsession
Part One: "Dealing With It"

It was another wonderful, ever-still day in Titania, where the hazing multicolor sky of blues and greens seemed to swirl in slow motion. Exotic birds flew around, only to soon find haven in the artificial trees built specifically for them. Streets were busy like usual all across the land, people from all different cultures and times feeding foods and ideas into a massive melting pot. Everyone travelled by foot. From one end to the far other would only be a few hours to walk. Rufus never liked cars or the pollution that followed. Crimes broke out in Delinquent Cove and gossip thundered through the Court of Royals. It was just another typical day in paradise, so they say.

At the top of his palace in the center of Titania stood the all-powerful Rufus Henry Wite. He gazed outwards, having a complete 360 degree view of the land around him, from the far off mountains up north to the Coliseum directly south. Rufus was particularly exhausted on this day. He had time-travelled back to Earth the day before and it took a lot out of him. That visit back was... Well, one in a long line of others. He lost track of the number of visits. Too many times, so many people. Yesterday he brought over 32 new people, specifically 32 of the world's best athletes. He swiped these wonderful beings up during the closing night of an Olympic ceremony, 2004. Why the sudden napping of all these athletes? There had been disapproval in the Court of Royals lately on the Games of Titania. Complaints ranged from "Things are getting boring; there aren't enough gladiators; I want more action!" Etc. Etc. Out of all his captives, Rufus listened to those that resided in the Court of Royals above all. He was fascinated by the nobility, the royalty, the beautiful and wise. He would do anything to please them, and that meant finding more athletes and well... forcing them to compete. Sometime to their death. Those ancient Romans really had extreme taste in sports. Especially when death was so rare in the land where no aged.

And so Rufus delivered. When the new lot of human athletes arrived in, they were easily manipulated into their holding cells of the Coliseum. Even the strongest of the strong put up no struggle, shell-shocked as to how they arrived at the place which looked like something out of a syfy movie. Everyone always reacted the same way in the beginning-- it would be days after the initial arrival where true personalities started to return and people calmed down. Now, the next day has come, and while Rufus watched from his tower, the new athletes were already being forced to train for their sporting events/ battles. Spectators from all around watched in pure joy from the elevated seating sections. It didn't matter what upbringing you had, anyone could watch the games. The Court of Royals was very pleased, already holding meetings on the games, and match-ups, who to bet on, and who they would sit next to.

Rufus yawned, slowly finding comfort in a chair within the tower room. It was the same chair he had had for a 100 years. He was old, and though he only aged when he went back to Earth, the time-travelling exhausted him. As soon as he sat down he fell asleep.

**
Meanwhile, at the Court of Royals...

One would find Bur Wite, daughter of the mastermind behind Titania, strolling through the marble covered marketplace modeled after the ancient Roman Forum of Augustus. Bur was dressed in a green satin frock, loose to her form. It was a dress she had purchased in India, while she was still there. Adorned around her wrists and neck were a collection of jewels she had acquired while on Earth as well. Bur had this aura about her that radiated boredom. She couldn't remember the last time she had a real laugh. Nothing interested her like how Earth did. She heard that her father had delivered in athletes at the Court's request, and if anything, that held the potential for entertainment. It was this sole event that caused her to make the trip to the Court. As she made her way through the forum, she was bombarded with jesters trying to rev any type of emotion from Bur's face. Each one failed at doing so, and she shooed them away with little to few words, sometimes with just a glare. It was impossible to walk through the forum without being pointed out or stopped. The dues of being his daughter. Sure, there were perks. She didn't wake up in fear like half the population in Titania, wondering if Rufus was going to find them unworthy and send them back to Early Earth. Bur would always be safe. Always. And that irked her. Was it danger she craved in this life of privilege? Possibly. But she never ran into any. She didn't know where to look. She was banned from entering Delinquent Cove because Rufus knew what went on there. It was a surprise to many that he put up with it. If anything ever was going to spark some emotion from Bur, maybe it would be that place.

Bur finally arrived at the steps to the main building in the center of the Court. It was a majestic white building with giant columns that stretched all the way around. This is where the elite went to carry out 'business', as in, what they wanted Rufus to do for them. Bur knew there would be those discussing the upcoming Games. She was also hoping some of her 'friends' were there. It was hard to say if they were truly her friends because they liked her or because they feared her father. Once again, the joy of being Rufus Wite's daughter. She began up the stairs, keeping her eyes focused on the ground, ignoring people that stopped to stare at her.

**

Meanwhile, at the Coliseum of Titania...

"Take your positions!" a loud voice declares through a megaphone (a modern invention which stuck out like a sore thumb in such a classic location). Gladiators that had been in Titania for a while hung around the parameter of the arena while newcomers such as the ones from the day before were huddled in the center, bugged eyed and confused. The loudspeaker voice continues, "This evening games will be held!" From the small audience that had already formed cheers could be heard. It had been at least a month since any significant games with so many participants was held. Spectators itched with excitement. Those in the center of the arena began to pace around, their hands on their heads. It was like walking into a history book. Some began to kick around a ball, some practiced with swords, others sat on the ground hugging their knees, asking god to wake them up from this awful nightmare. But no god answered their prayers.

**

In Delinquent Cove...

Smoke covered the area. Tobacco was everyone's friend and in able supply-- all one needed to do to get tobacco was provide something else, from bread to Titantium. There wasn't an official currency system. People gained new things by trading valuables or Titantium crystals, which were widely accepted everywhere. The more crystals one had, the better goods one could acquire. Card games were held out in the street as well as public drinking. The ironic thing was, none of the people the resided in Delinquent Cove were criminals in their Earth lives. It was only when they were brought to Titania that troublesome folk began to cause havoc. Out of boredom or anger, it didn't matter. People changed. Rufus has had to send some of the most dangerous back to Earth-- Early Earth, with the rabid dinosaurs. Others he let stay because he valued their science work or whatever their talents were that caused him to bring them here in the first place. Something special was happening in the Cove today. Two men, one named Amun (an ancient Egyptian) and Chang (from imperial China), have decided to battle. A 2,000 square foot area of prime real estate was on the line. Amun wanted the space to build a hookah haven. Chang wanted to build a temple. The battle would be hand to hand combat and take place in a popular section of the Cove. The winner would be determined by the last one standing. Residents were abuzz, joyful, and drunk. It would be a good day to all.

Sara sat cross-legged in her small room hunched over a sprawl of papers scattered across her desk with no apparent order, but there was always an order to the way Sara did things. Her room was dimly lit by a small alcohol-burner, with the morning light shut out by the heavy wooden shutters on the window. Suddenly Sara uncoiled herself with a monumental sigh. She rose from her perch, placed the cap over the alcohol-burner to put out the flame, then set off to the window to allow some light in. It was only when the mid-morning light spilled in that she realized that she had managed to pull another all-nighter. With another sigh she muttered to herself, "How am I suppos'd to know... If this place is as it seems, then all theories of planar spacetime are shattered... How does the actions of a time traveler effect the universe though... Are we in a closed loop? If not, does Wite have access to more resources than we could possibly imagine?"

Sara's mind was in turmult as it so often was after spending sessions trying to figure out the mechanics of the spacetime pocket that was Titania. Still mulling over the conundrum at hand Sara's subconscious forgot to remove her father's lab coat, signifying she was still at work. Everything about this place was crazy, it so groundbreaking she was still unsure if it was ever real or not, ever since she had been 'time-napped' from her office in the Physics department of Glasgow university she had immersed herself in research into Titania's structure. Regular Newtonian physics applied here, which meant that Titania was located on an object of mass, the gravitational pull of the object was about 1.12 times that of earth as far as she could figure from her crude experiments, she couldn't check on sub-atomic and quantum theories with her limited resources, but as far as she could see everything seemed almost... Normal. The area was habitable with an atmosphere of Oxygen and Nitrogen with trace amounts of Helium and other elements, and the most abundant substance seemed to be this 'Titantium' stuff which was an puzzle to Sara, who had found no way of recognizing it's composition as of the moment.

While lost in thought, Sara's feet had carried her to her usual hangout in the Smuggler's Cove, a dingy Pub by the name of 'The Gagging Mare' which strikingly similar architecture to a pub she had once been in when she visited some cousins in Edinburgh. She had only been in Titania for a week, but she had made sure to get on good terms with the bartenders and found at least one person who she could buy smokes from. Sara spoke up to the tall, barrel-chested man cleaning glasses behind the bar, "Hey, Teddy, the usual please."
Looked up, then nodded and spoke in a gruff Irish accent, "A Talisker on tha rocks, comin' righ' up... Ya lookin' fer Jacob as well?"
"Yup, where is the little bastard?" Sara snatched up the glass of whisky as it came sliding down the bar towards her and took a sip, eyeing the bartender.
Theodore scratched his mess of jet black hair before replying, "Last I heard he was goin' ta watch the fight between the African and tha' oriental."
Sara nodded and downed the rest of her drink, and spun round on her bar-stool to leave, "Thanks mate."
"Wait," Teddy called before Sara could leave, he nodded at her labcoat, "Ya were workin' right? Y' can pay off yer tab with information y'know... Have ya figured anythin' out?"
Sara slowly turned back, "Teddy, I've told ya, I've not been working on anything you guys can use yet..."
The hefty bartender's eyes lowered with dissapointment. Sarah continued, "However, I do have this." She pulled a vial out of her pocket and placed it on the bar, "You can trade it to any half-decent doctor for quite a bit, just be careful they're not trying to rip you off... See ya then."
This time Theodore didn't stop her leaving and she strode out onto the streets of the cove looking for her tobacco supplier.

She found him at the edge of a gathering crowd of people, a small Indian man dressed in and elaborate sherwani. Before she could get a word in the man silenced her and demanded in a thick Indian accent, "Quite northern woman, the fight begins soon, help me find a better spot."
Sara would rather have slapped the little man, who only stood to about her shoulder height, but she knew the repercussions of that would be much more severe than no more tobacco. The man before her was a minor noble, one with a lot of ambition, a taste for gambling, and connections to all the wrong kinds of people. Reluctantly she assisted the man to the front of the crowd, nudging aside those who were in their way.
"I have a bet on the Imperial." Jacob stated out of the blue, "He has a dangerous look in his eyes, that of a hard man, unlike the man of the desert kingdom."
Sara made no comment on the matter, instead she observed the scene before her. The two men were stripped down to nothing but a loincloth, and oiled up for the fight. The Egyptian had size and weight on his side, but Jacob was right, the smaller Asian man had a threatening quality to him that was completely devoid from the Egyptian. Either way the battle would begin soon, and she could only get her tobacco after it finished.

Toshihiro was working on making a knife and nails for a new construction project in the cove. He had very few customers today due to the new athletes arival just the day before. He wasn't sure why, but more athletes seemed to be brought in than anyone else, but he had also never been to the games held at the coliseum before. He was sure there must have been some sort of fight to the death because some that did come out were wounded heavily and looked like they had been stabbed or slashed.

"Mr. Takeda!" A fimilar voice shouted as a young Welsh boy came stumbling through the front door. "Clam down, now what is it Tomos?" Toshihiro inquired. The boy was now panting from his run but got out his message after a minute. "Mr. Takeda, there are two men about to fight in the street, and I know how much you like a good fight." It was true, he did like a good fight every now and then, as long as there was an acceptable reason behind it. "Okay," he said as a smile began on his face, "let me put these nails in the slack tub and you can take me to this fight." Toshihiro had a special place in his heart for the boy because he accidently ended up in Titania along with is mother and father who were great doctors of their time. The boy had no clue what was really going on since he was only about 10 and had no idea what had really happened. Tomos' face lit up as he saw the steam rise off the water, "Come on," he said in a raised tone, "we're going to miss it!" As he finished his words the door4 opened, which he had been leaning on, and another fimilar face looked in, emotionless. "You better come quick Toshihiro, you client is fighting a guy twice his size for some land." The smile ran away from his face just as quickly as it had arrived. He walked over to a nail in the wall and hung up his apron up for the day. "Well I better go see if this idiot gets himself killed this time." He had lost all joy in the fight. On one hand it was going to be a good fight, but on another, if his client dies he will lose his payment for the nails. "Okay, let's go." He said as he walked out the door, forgetting his sword in the back room.

As he arrived on the battle ground he saw the the description was about right. His Imperial client was indeed half the size of the man he was fighting. Toshihiro was very annoyed that his client was doing this, he had picked fights before but never with such odds stacked against him. "I hope this is over quick, because if not this is going to be a very painful fight." He himself had faced such odds before but he was fighting in armed combat against a inferior opponent. He glanced down to see the boy wide-eyed and excited to see the fight.

Aileen was sitting somewhere in the Court of Royals. She had long stopped trying to figure out her location since she never got lost. Titania wasn't too large, and the tall castle where Rufus resided was clearly visible no matter how far she was. She kept her body completely still as she felt multiple hands roam over it. She had been in Titania for about a month now. She wasn't fully adjusted, but she was getting there. Often what she did as an occupation was to provide musical entertainment to those in the Court of Royals. They seemed to enjoy her voice. Soon enough, she realized that they also adored her doll-like face and body. Once they became a regular to her performances, the females would ask her if they could "dress her up". And so, she had become a living Barbie doll; just an Asian one.

Currently three pairs of hands were touching her. They were deciding what make-up to put on her, how to style her hair, and what to dress her up in. Normally she'd be in their house early in the morning because they took hours to play around with her looks. They would continuously beckon her to stand up, sit down, lean this way, lean that way, tilt her head this way... for hours. After a while, she learned to just tune her mind out and just set herself to auto-pilot. It was as if she was really a doll when she did. She only responded when they called her name or they tapped her on purpose to get her attention. Finally, she was told to stand up. It looked like they were finally done. The ladies were commenting and praising their work of art, seemingly pleased with the outcome. Aileen looked at herself in the mirror. It was a Roman-inspired look. She concluded it was probably because there were going to be a bunch of fights occurring soon. Her hair was pulled back really complicatedly and then was slightly curled as it fell down her back. Even she thought it was really impressive. They had dressed her up in some sort of Toga she guessed. It was probably modified to something more modern. It was a lot shorter than a normal one and more form fitting. The toga had gold trimmings and there was a gold ribbon tied around her waist to accentuate her curves even further. She even had gold eye-shadow on her eye lids to match her toga. She picked up her black eyeliner and tight-lined both the top and bottom of her eyes. To finish the look one of the ladies smeared on a matte red lipstick on her lips. The Royals must be really excited since Rufus had time-napped a bunch of new athletes. Olympians this time she heard. Another lady gave her a pair of gold coloured heels which had straps that wrapped around her ankles and part of her legs. Excitedly, they grabbed her arms and pulled her as they started walking. Aileen had no idea where they were going, but she never questioned it anyways. They stepped out onto the streets of the marble-covered marketplace and headed towards to the main building.

Oh no, were they going to show off their doll to their husbands? she thought. She sighed, "Well... nothing new I guess."

There was that sweet scent again that she always had about her. He could tell she was near by just simply by the fact that her scent....perfume to better explain it, would give her away, sometimes he pretended to not smell it, but other times he would turn and welcome her, seeing that look of slight disappointment that she couldn't sneak up on him. He let her get the upper hand on him pretending to not notice her, she jumped on his back in a hug, he held himself up only wavering under the little weight she threw against him. Those around him smiling lightly, he just took in the scent as she came around her arms still around his neck, taking her in an embrace.

The day seemed to fly by, dinner, movie; her choice, but it was a good one, and a stroll down the streets, it was dark, but the lights on the streets did a good job at illuminating. The night that she decided to be proper for her to initiate the kiss. The stroll ended at her place, a fairly nice house, only made it inside once before and that was too meet the family. This night was slightly different though, the house was empty; just to them.

The perfect night, at least that is what it seemed, having her so close was more comfort than he was used to, the press of her body against his, her light breath on his neck as she slept, it brought a feeling that he wasn't completely used to, and fear, the fear that he could lose what he had currently. He did his best to picture the look of serenity on her face. He shifted slightly and she smiled obviously awake, her eyes opened lazily, her mouth moved as if to say something but no words came out, just the movements of her lips as if she were saying something without the voice......

He sat up suddenly, heart racing and frantically searching the room, though he knew inside that this wasn't the room that he dreamed of, and that when he looked for her he would not find her next to him. His hand found its way to his face, it covered his right eye, for some reason it was sensitive ever since he tested the nanos on himself, but if it didn't come in contact with a light source it didn't bother him. He fished around his little shack in search for that eye-patch, finding it buried under the sleeping bag he had traded for. After securing the eye-patch he looked about the shack, it really wasn't much but it was enough space for the few things he did grab. There was a bickering close outside over what he didn't care, he grabbed his backpack, the one thing that he packed everything he could into, and stepped outside.

In his era, the year was 2150, and the way that this Cove was built up was nothing in resemblance, how was it that he could live in that era, and then be forced back into the prehistoric ages. The constant calamity of robotics and the hover cars with auto drive, along with the fact that walking was non-existent, only those who were truly bored did menial tasks like that anymore. This no transportation and the fact that there were only people here bothered him. He made sure his Disc was secure and hidden well among his clothing, before setting off on his obligated walk.
The area was something else, if you could think of something closer to Sin City, you would have a better mind than his. Everything seemed to happen here, this is where you would come to get anything you needed, or wanted, though not the greatest place to live per say. He was still tired and the constant yawning didn't help with his sight, someone bumped into him or he into them but the feeling was mutual either way.

"Hey watch where you're going dick." He got a look of the size of the man he was standing behind and instantly wished that he hadn't said that. He then realized that there was a distinct circle around them. The giant man didn't hesitate a moment, it was grab and then airborn, through a crowd of people and a hard landing in the dirt, followed by some laughter and maybe a few sounds of concern, maybe. A moment of laying there, with vague sounds from the two now alone in the circle and he had his wits about him, he got up slowly, not even trying to dust himself off, he would take care of that later. He made the journey to the Court.

He dusted himself off on the walk there wondering what he could possibly do to get a residence for himself somewhere out of Sin City. He scratched the side of his head under a strap of the eye-patch as he walked farther into the Court, or forums as he had heard others say. The people here all having a fair look about them, he probably stood out like a sore thumb, just solely on the fact that he was in his normal attire, and well the eye-patch. He noticed a woman being escorted by a few others, she was definitely a looker, her hair done up and dressed in well something that left little to the imagination, she looked like a model; which in fact would not surprise him in the least. Another yawn forced him to loose sight again.

"Hey Draven? Why haven't you introduced me to your parents yet?" It was a cute look on her face that accompanied the common question that was asked over and over, how was he going to tell her that they were constantly working, barely ever to make a presence in his life. His sister loved her, he always got pulled aside by his sister and was constantly drilled with questions. That and he didn't even know the conversations that his sister had with her.

"I mean they're going to have to meet their future daughter in law at some point or another." Her face was damn red, but he never had the answer for her.

"Hey Kid!" Was all he heard before someone bashed into his back pushing him forward. He didn't see who, but he was lip locked with a pale girl and falling forward, he positioned his arm to hold whoever she was close so that they wouldn't hit the ground hard, and extended his other to stop/cushion the fall as best he could. His hand hit the ground causing him to roll slightly, which broke the kiss, which he hadn't intended to do in the first place. He pulled away far enough where he could get a good look of the girl that he had bumped into, the tension in the air, well lets just say that wasn't to hard to feel, all eyes on him at the moment, and the silence for a moment was deafening literally.

There was a flow of chatter from the crowd even though, all forms of movement had stopped, he could see out of the corner of his left eye that some people were whispering while others didn't hide their shock of what just happened. He saw a few fingers being pointed but not much more than that. He heard a mixture of things that he didn't like from those that weren't to silent about their thoughts.

"I'm sorry-" He was lifted off the girl, not knowing who it was he struggled a little till he saw the crest. The "guards" if you could call them all had the same crests on them, he had seen plenty in the cove. He stopped struggling, knowing that today was going to be a long one, he didn't really listen to the guard spouting off whatever nonsense he was saying, he just gave the girl that he had knocked down and apologetic look and the best bow he could with the guard holding him.

Her heels clicked on the ground as she was escorted by the women down the street of the marketplace. As they chattered she kept a smile on her face, not wanting to displease them and to make it look as if she was having a good time. Behind her smile she was tired and sighing; she'd rather be singing than be their little Barbie doll. Whenever they showed her to their husbands, she never liked the looks the men gave her. She literally felt like a "feast for their eyes".

She was setting herself on her usual "auto-pilot" when she heard someone shout, "Hey Kid!". Her thoughts were interrupted, but no later after she looked up she felt the feeling of another set of lips crashing on hers. Aileen felt herself falling, and was too shocked to react. Falling was one thing, but someone falling on top of her and kissing her? Not something she'd normally expect. Her usual response would be to get angry and push the person off, but she was too stunned to even feel anger. She shut her eyes for the impact of the fall, but the person seemed to cushion it and she was, for the most part, safe. She breathed a sigh of relief. Her emotions were a little mixed. It was probably an accident, but her pride as a celebrity would never allow something like this. But then again, it's not like she was a celebrity anymore.

There was chatter all around and she could hear the guards already coming towards them. "I'm sorry-", she heard him say before she felt his body being lifted off of her. She pulled herself up and dusted herself off. Aileen looked at the man. He was clearly sorry, and she felt bad for him.

"Sir, could you let him go?" she asked the guard.

The guard gave her a firm shake of the head, obviously wanting the glory of punishing somebody as shady-looking as him. She put on a smile and placed both her hands on the guard's arm.

"Please? It was just an accident and he's a friend. I'll come sing for your family privately anytime this week." she offered with a sweet voice.

The guard looked a bit baffled and looked at her. He succumbed and let go of man saying, "Alright, make sure it doesn't happen again pal." She thanked the man with a small bow and waved goodbye. The women around her stared at her strangely, wondering just what she was doing. "It was just an accident, how about you greet your husbands at the main building first, I'll be there in 10 minutes." The women hesitantly nodded and walked away, gossiping to themselves as they continuously turned back to look. She sighed and turned her attention back to the man.

"You should avoid such scandals in the Court. My pure image has just been destroyed by you." she laughed.

The Royal Court

With poise and elegance, Francesca Evans walked with deliberate slowness across the Royal Court. Already stares were directed towards her, some hostile and jealous whilst most looked on with a certain longing. Keeping her head respectfully bowed, an unseen smirk tugged at the young woman's pink lips. Looking up through thick eyelashes, she batted them quickly. Adorned in a white floor length gown, which was corseted with a full skirt and decorated with intricately sown flowers, she was the picture of innocence. Pink cheeks flushed against pale skin and golden eyes blinked rapidly as she stepped one bare foot in front of the other. Interwoven into her blonde locks were numerous fresh flowers, adding to the pure image she was portraying. However, for anyone who knew Francesca Evans (and most people did) they knew she was about as far from innocent as one could get.

And it showed, when she caught the eye of a young man who was openly staring at her. The smirk returned to her lips and she threw him a cheeky wink, before tossing her ringlet curls over one shoulder as she strutted past him. Without giving the lad a second look, she raised her head, thrusting her chin out. This was normal behaviour for the young woman. She tended to walk around as though she owned the place. So far, no-one had challenged her and if they had, it had been an unsuccessful move on their part. Francesca was used to worming her way around people and most definitely men. Controlling everyone around her was a skill she had possessed on Earth and it was no different in Titania. Although she'd barely been there three weeks, she was already well established within the Royal Court. And it wasn't always for the best reasons either.

Now as she reached the bottom of the steps, she smiled deviously at an older gentleman who was stood with his wife. The woman promptly smacked his arm, giving Francesca a deathly glare as she ushered her husband away. "If looks could kill." She thought merrily, giving her a little wave of her hand as the pair left. Actually, she didn't know them, but her reputation was enough to upset the women when she approached their husbands. As she put a foot on the bottom step, a commotion behind her caught her attention.

Turning slowly, she watched as a man barreled straight into a woman who was well known in the Royal Court. Well known for her innocence and singing voice apparently. But evidently, this was now not the case. An evil grin spread across Francesca's face as the man kissed her as they fell to the floor. Around them women gasped and pressed their hands over their mouths. If it had been her, they would have tutted and turned on their heel to leave. However, the guards soon pounced upon the man, dragging him away. Curious, she walked closer, arching an eyebrow as she went. It was a surprise when the woman, who she knew yo be Aileen, demanded that he was released. The women around her seemed to be even more appalled and one of them nearly fainted as she spoke to the man.

Grinning, Francesca joined them. "You want to be careful Aileen or you'll end up with a reputation like mine." A nasty laugh left her lips as she threw back her curls again, eyeing the man appreciatively. This one she didn't know, but something told her she wanted to know more. A fresh victim...so to speak.

"Aren't you a ruggedly gorgeous one eh? And if you ever feel like bumping into anyone again," With that, she pressed her body close to him, tilting his head with her fingertips so she could whisper in his ear. "Just seek me out. I'm always game." Pushing him from her, she smirked, smoothing his shirt where she had rumpled it. "See you around, I hope." Winking at him, she turned and nodded her head slightly to Aileen.

"Don't be late sweetie. Or else your league of groomers won't be impressed."

In Delinquent Cove

A significant crowd began to form around the two fighters- those young and old, male and female, could be heard placing bets and giving their own feedback on who might have the upper hand. Chang, the small but toned and nimble man from imperial China, cracked his knuckles and gave a once over of the audience to see if he saw anyone in particular. And there the man was, right in the front next to a young boy, was Toshihiro, the man he had hired and would continue to hire, to build his temple on the potential real estate he was about to win. Or so he thought. And then there was Amun, the massive Egyptian man who once was a slave to the first Pharaoh of Egypt. Building pyramids and surviving in a dessert made the man one gigantic chunk of muscle, ready to do some of his own meat pounding. Amun had a loyal group of supports standing behind him, rooting him on and clinking their glasses of ale together. To all who weren't involved, it was just another wonderful day in their caged paradise. After a brief run in with a random man passing through, and Amun kicking him out of the way, it was game time.

"You ready, short man?" Amun spat, his voice deep and thunderous. And then there was Chang, his voice the exact opposite. It was high pitched and snaky. "I've been ready, fat man," was Chang's response, which immediately caused a reaction out of Amun. He knew he was large but did not want to be called fat. Amun lunged forward, but Chang side-stepped to the right; it was far enough to where the initial impact was directed towards, but close enough to where Amun reached out and grabbed the Chinese man's shoulder. His grip was like a magnet, not letting it go until Chang was picked up and tossed to the other end of the open circle. Chang hit the ground rolling, taking only a brief moment to collect himself as he got back on his toes. That one had hurt but Chang was now able to predict the arm length of Amun, a necessary fact. Amun charged again at Chang, but this time Chang slid between the big man's legs, dodging another stampede and side swiping known human presence points on the body which led to Amun loosing balance and dropping a knee. Chang came at him again, but this time Amun caught his arm in the air and twisted it around with a force that would break any bone... and it did. Chang toppled over, screaming as his left arm bent in an entirely new direction than what was normal. Amun stood up on his feet and approached Chang who was shaking his head rapidly, already calling it quits. He wouldn't be able to focus or fight at the state his arm was in. Amun, having a noble honor, despite being a slave most of his life, spared Chang his life. The battle was quickly over as soon as it started, Amun raising his hands in the air. Those who bet on him to win cheered, while others sighed at the pathetic length of a brawl. With the fight out of the way, it meant people had to get back to work.. doing whatever they were given as tasks to do for Rufus. Fair in square, Amun was awarded the 2 acre property and would soon turn it into the largest hookah bar in Titania. So much for a temple, though in a place like this, it wasn't really necessary. Did gods exist in a dimension of no time or space?

Someone who was there in the crowd from the beginning, refereeing the fight, stood up on a small wooden box. "Break it up, move back to what you were doing!" he shouted as people still booed over the short fight. "Aw, now. If you are that interested in a fight, go to the Coliseum today! The new athletes are going to be competing already!" With that said, people calmed down, moods switching from anger to joy. Half the crowd already started to head off in the direction of the coliseum- it was a decent walk on foor. Others there went to aid Chang's broken arm. At least the land wasn't short on top notch doctors.

_____

Bur had made it half way up the stairs when she heard a commotion beginning to take place. A new face dressed in odd clothing had bumped into Aileen. Bur knew of the girl as a 'living doll' and how particular her 'caretakers' were on her looks and mannerisms. Bur honestly felt sorry for her, constantly being told what to do, how to dress, who to be around. But Bur's sympathy only reached so far for the girl, she was more so known for her apathy. This Roman-dressed doll creation had now fallen over due to the stranger, and by the looks of it, this must have been the most exciting thing that happened in the Court today, so far. Why? Everyone in the area grew silent and played their silly little pointing games. The lazy guards in the Court even hopped at the chance to 'perform their duty' which they rarely ever had to do in the Court of Royals. Bur sighed, deciding maybe she could take a few minutes to watch how this plays out. She sat down on the smooth marble step near the top, flatting out her sheer green throw-over as her jewels jingled against her wrists. Besides the crowd watching the altercation play out, there were indeed eyes on herself. It was hard to be undercover or go unnoticed with a vibrant head of white hair and a father who everyone knew personally. When Bur sat to watch, this seemed to be the go ahead for others to stand, sit, and watch.

It appeared the doll was just as flustered as the stranger was. She couldn't hear what the two were saying but it came off as awkward. Out of the corner of Bur's eye she then spotted none other than Francesca. Francesca had a reputation in the Court, and Bur immediately smirked. She knew that an opportunity for attention would never go pass the eyes of Francesca. Bur started to count down from five to one, and like clockwork, as Bur reached one, Francesca took flight to the two to grab some spotlight. With Bur's guess correct, her face turned smug. At least Francesca could always be counted on to provide Bur with some mild form of entertainment.

After a few minutes of the three interacting, Bur stood up and began to finish her walk up the stairs. She was bored, yet again. Her fingers traced along a tall white column, peering into the grand opening of the marble building. It was an open space with a large atrium in the center. Lounging couches took hold in random places around the floor space. The main counsel that discussed 'laws and such' were gathered in the far back. These people lived inside this building, distant hallways leading to bedrooms.. this meant they were always around and always going to cause drama if they didn't get want they asked for. Bur debated if she even wanted to approach them but she was curious to hear more about the new athletes that had arrived. Giving in, Bur walked down the structured colonnade, keeping to the shaded areas as best she could.

She flinched, an annoyed expression growing on her face as she heard her name being called out by one of the councilmen. Her moment of cover was blown, and Bur waved half-heartedly at the collected group. They knew better than to wait for Bur to approach them so instead the eight or so members came to her. Of course.

Colette Bodreaux In Delinquent Cove

It had been a week since Colette had awoken with a start in completely unfamiliar territory. Her last memories were of arriving in Africa for a "business trip" as she called them and having a meeting with an ambassador. She had stepped out the door to her waiting transportation and the world had fallen dark. When she awoke she was surrounded by other individuals of every age, color, size, and origin. One thing she noted was that most appeared to be more supple and strong than herself. At first she thought she was dreaming and she reached one hand up to rub almond brown eyes but failed to awaken. Not one for panic she stood up and assessed the situation. She was in some sort of holding cell, her deep red hair hanging around her shoulders a bit tangled from travel and her clothing matched what she had been wearing the last day of work--knee high leather boots over closely fit dark washed denim, a white t-shirt that fit to flatter but was not tight enough to be trashy, and her familiar leather jacket. Thank heavens for that jacket. Everyone around her seemed just as confused about what was happening, and Colette spoke to no one. Instead, she lowered herself down sitting and waiting, surely the American consulate would realize her absence soon. As if on key she heard a voice cry out "Colette Bodreaux!? Colette Bodreaux!?" and a wave of relief washed over her as she stood up and approached the one calling her name. "Come with me." was all the short bald man said and Colette seemed to know better than to refuse. As they exited the holding cell a chill ran over Colette, this was definitely nowhere she had ever been before. The man who had called her name walked quickly, turning back every so often to make sure Colette was following as they walked what felt like miles to the gates of a large palace. The man was admitted to the palace without question and Colette continued to follow, eyes wide as she took in her ever changing surrounding until she found herself in front of a man who introduced himself as Rufus, leader of the land. He continued to explain that she had been brought here with a group of his "athletes", whatever that meant, and that he may be in need of her assistance soon. His eyes had scanned her as if assessing her worth and Colette in her typical stubborn ways held his gaze with her own despite the small pang of fear that ebbed at her mind. After that moment she was dismissed to "live as she saw fit" according to the man until she was needed.

She had been a week now of street wandering, unsure what to do in her new environment. She had reached in her pocket to fish out her cell phone more than once but appeared to have been lost or taken away before she awoke. She had managed enough odd jobs, and wins at cards to keep a steady supply of cigarettes in hand. Smoking-she loathed the habit- but her nerves were shot, her nails chewed to the quick, and it was a vice she just couldn't shake at times like this. On this particular day she had that flash of red hair pulled back into a high pony tail, the only set of clothes she currently owned she was wearing, and she heard word of a fight between a man named Chang and a giant of an individual named Amun. The fight didn't last long, Amun was the easy victor. As the crowd dispersed she decided it was time to seek real work, but where she wasn't sure.

The guard had a decent grip on him, and the pain that his arm was sending him said that if he were to resist it would dislocate or worse break, which caused him to just let the event flow out in whatever direction it was going to go. At this point he was ready for the worst, and was a little surprised when he was let go, he was able to cradle the arm that hurt and was able to stand again, the people around still standing and gauking. He wanted to lash out at them, but held it back for the fact that the woman that he had "assaulted" had let him go, he thought that she had offered the guard something and then later said something to a group of women that had wandered off shortly after, but he had missed that, not being so socially aware had its benefits when it came to ignorance. It reminded him of a certain meeting he had in the past, but he dismissed the thought.

"You should avoid such scandals in the Court. My pure image has just been destroyed by you." she laughed. Why she would laugh after saying something like that confused Draven.
He had the decency to look slightly embarrassed at least, it was his fault being lost in thought and running head first into another person, literally. He was trying to think of something to say other than to apologize again but another woman made her entrance shortly.

"You want to be careful Aileen or you'll end up with a reputation like mine."

So the woman he was talking to was named Aileen, a fitting name. he turned his head to the woman who was talking a moment ago, her face showed her to be in good spirits, but the laugh didn't match, it held something much more sinister behind it. It became apparent soon after what she meant though, pressing herself against him and whispering sweet nothings in his ear, he liked it though it was a little to much for him at the time. He enjoyed the offer of help even if what he had in mind was slightly different from what she was offering though, he was a little relieved that she had better things to do and soon left, commenting on something about a league of groomers, .....this place confused him.

He looked about, the scene had stopped and there was minimal interaction from the crowd now that everyone was left to their own devices, though the guards were still eying him, he could feel it more than see it. "Dieser Tag muss enden..yes, I wished this day would end" He stated it softly. He turned to Aileen, as he knew her now. He had met two people alone today that seemed to be interested in helping him out of situations that he found undesirable, for what reason he didn't know but they had stepped in.

"It seems we were headed in the same direction," He motioned to where Aileen's party had wandered off, it was an offering to walk with her, but he wasn't going to offer an arm, he was not courting her. That and he didn't want to be around those that were still eying him, few but still enough to make him want out of there.

"I am Draven by the way, Aileen, its a nice name." He forced a grin as he walked to the forum, looking for those who were dressed for business, though everyone looked the same, he assumed that Aileen would go about her business though was open for conversation if she were to show back up again somewhere down the road.

The forum was the place for business it seems, there were tons of people about all who looked like they could be the person Draven had to talk with to get what he wanted, the surrounding buildings all looked like nobility could live in them, that and the decorations around, they all seemed to be from Ancient Rome. There were groups of people posted everywhere across the forums, he chatted with a few of the groups interrupting their conversations only to be pointed to another group, he did this for five or six groups before he leaned on a nearby pillar thinking to himself a moment. He noticed a woman he had seen earlier, looking as if she wanted to go unnoticed, but was soon called out to by a group of people, and swarmed to shortly after, unlucky for her.

"Hey," It was from his left, a man sitting in the shade of a pillar, "From the look on your face you haven't found what you've been looking for," He looked over at the girl that Draven had seen earlier. "She can get you whatever you want. Her name is Bur." Draven looked at the girl a little more intently, she didn't seem like too much, she was pale with white hair, wearing a green getup, he didn't know much about women's cloths so that was the best word he had for it a getup, though her appearance said that she was there for whatever reason, her face showed otherwise, especially surrounded by the men and women that were there.

"This information doesn't come free I take it?" He looked back at the man, but he was no longer there, just disappeared. Draven looked about, but didn't find anything as to where the man had gone. He prepped himself a little, sighing and getting himself ready, because well this might just turn out like earlier where he made an ass of himself, but it was the best lead he had. He headed over to the group as calm as he could get himself. The people around him seemed to tense as he approached that specific group, the guards in the area seemed to lock on to him, but maybe that was just anxiety? He was coming up from behind the group and behind Bur as the man had called her, he placed a hand on her shoulder, "Its official business, if you don't mind I'll be borrowing this young lady." He moved his arm as to lead her out of the group but had no idea if she was willing to come with or not

Another woman had come up to approach them as she was talking to the man. Francesca... Even Aileen had heard of her in the Court. She had never seen her this close up before and now she could see where her vanity came from. She had to admit that the lady was beautiful. A more mature and sexy beauty compared to a young beauty like herself.

"You want to be careful Aileen or you'll end up with a reputation like mine."

Aileen smiled at her, "Of course. I'll be more careful from now on. It's an honour to get advice from the infamous Francesca herself." Actually the lady wasn't really listening to her. She seemed a lot more interested in the man that had 'assaulted' her. After enduring the obvious flirting going on in front of her Francesca added, "Don't be late sweetie. Or else your league of groomers won't be impressed."

She tried really hard to not roll her eyes but instead keep her smile and wave goodbye to the woman. Aileen watched Francesca confidently walk away, noticing the many eyes that followed her as she took her leave. Hearing the man's voice she turned back to him and smiled.

"Thank you. Draven is an interesting name. It's nice to officially meet you." She nodded at his offering to walk, kind of liking the fact that it was just a walk and nothing more. She walked at a moderate pace, both hands held in front of her. No conversation was initiated, and that was fine with her. It was strange for someone dressed like Draven to be in the Court of Royals; perhaps this would be the only time she'd see him.

Once they reached the the main building she waved and said her goodbyes. "Bye, Draven. Hopefully next time we meet the greeting will be less physical." she said with a laugh. She turned and started up the stairs of the building until she noticed a flash of white hair. Aileen stopped and turned to the girl. Bur probably didn't even notice her, but it was a habit that Aileen had developed growing up in an Asian home. Anybody of power was to be respected. Now that she was in a city full of culture, her old customs weren't so out of place as they were back when she was a celebrity. She slightly bowed in Bur's direction before standing up and continuing up the stairs.

There were sounds of commotion down the steps and she couldn't help but turn back around in curiosity. Draven had his arm around Bur and looked like he was going to pull her out of the group. Did he actually just go up to her and grab her? A look of dismay crossed her face before she chuckled. What an interesting person... first assault and now he goes straight to the person with the second most influence in the city. Her 'groomers', as Francesca put them, were not to far from her. Their husbands were with them and they looked down at Draven with pointed fingers. No doubt wondering what he was going to do with Bur. Curious, she stood and waited to see what would happen next.

Brice Enters

"A wonderful day!" Brice shouted, throwing his sculpted arms into the air. Today he was dressed in his usual: tan slacks and a red wool sweater. Around his head was the only item he brought from Earth which was his aviator glasses. He shaved his head recently but hair was growing up at a steady rate. Brice had just left his little shack in the Cove and was walking down the street, on his way to the Coliseum. It was talk everywhere that new athletes had been brought in. And not just the basic run of the mill athletes, but Olympians to be exact. Which either meant Rufus was one cold cookie or the talking heads in the Court of Royals were bumping up their demands. Usually he had a bone to pick with that court of 'officials' but not this time. He was going to have the opportunity to meet professionals and get to know them... at least for a little while. Brice, of course, wasn't only wanting to go to the Coliseum because of their physical prowess. He figured half of them were still at a complete loss as to where they were and Brice had a way of calming others down. He would be their brisk air in a room of murky fog.

So down the street he went, his pace fairly fast due to his excitement and determination to get to the Coliseum at a record breaking time. It was because he was in such a rush that he completely bypassed the crowd that had gathered to watch the fight. If he had noticed what was taking place, he would have tried his best to break it up and solve the real estate issue in a civil, diplomatic way. Then again, that rarely happened around Titania, at least in the Cove. He wound through the streets, passing various shops and even trailed along the path that led to Rufus' palace which hung high in the center of the land. He waved at the giant structure, not at anyone in particular, and kept on his jog. He was about 10 minutes away from the Coliseum when he paused to take a breather. The Coliseum was in straight shot from here. Miles away he could already see a significant crowd developing. The excitement was enough to have him shoot off the rest of the way there in full sprint. He nearly ran into someone in line as he abruptly slammed on his foot brakes.

"Woo!" he panted, rolling up his sleeves after building a sweat from his travels. His eyes searched eagerly around, taking in the atmosphere. He saw familiar faces and new faces. And then he saw what appeared to be a small cluster of fighters/athletes dressed in the classic Roman gladiator outfits. That was the typical dress wear that all the athletes wore in the Coliseum. It was clear that Rufus had an affinity for the culture over any of the rest. Though Brice couldn't blame the old man. There was something innately beautiful and exciting about the Roman lifestyle and architecture. While he waited in the back of the now forming line to get inside, he took this time to discuss with those around him and talk to new people.

Court of Royals

Bur cringed as she watched the bouncy, well fed group of individuals make their way towards her. They seemed to walk in sync, their feet scuffing against the marble as they waddled like penguins in a hurried manner. Some were wiggling their fingers at her as if she was the last piece of cake while the others just stared awkwardly.. creepily. She didn't realize she was taking steps backwards until they finally reached her.

"BUR, how charming it is to see you here!"/ "Oh, BUR, what a lovely green sari!"/ "BUR, the games! The athletes! They're here, finally!"

That last comment threw the group into a bubbling, incoherent thrills. So this was not exactly what Bur was wishing for, though it never was. Hoping for a peaceful exchange was a fleeting dream. She found herself immediately overwhelmed and wished she had something to cover her ears with so she couldn't hear them. Even the sight of them was giving her a slow, but coming headache. Bur nodded at randomly questions as her expression stayed faithful to who she was: lukewarm and somewhat annoyed. Of course, the group didn't care what mood she was in. It was all about appearances, fronts, and trying to come off as great as they could seeing as she had a direct line to Rufus Wite. People both noble and of the Cove area occasionally 'disappear' and there are many rumors out there that Bur had a hand in their missing. The rumors were face value though. Just rumors. Maybe twice in her stay here had she ever went to her father and complained about someone. All the other disappearances... well... she'd rather not say why they were gone now, but her role was insignificant in the whole of it.

As one of the officials went to pull Bur in closer, there was an opposite pull from behind her. She immediately whipped her head around, never fond of being grabbed at unsuspectedly, or suspected for that matter. Her eyes made contact with none other than the individual she had just watched before in the open forum. He had bumped in to Aileen and caused an unnecessary draw of attention to himself. Kind of like what he was doing now.

"It's official business, if you don't mind I'll be borrowing this young lady." He said, Bur mildly surprised. Mildly. Upon him trying to move her away, the same guards that had dealt with him earlier came back for a second try at imprisoning him. Normally Bur wouldn't care, wouldn't involve herself in the matter. But this fellow provided her with an escape from the ravenous officials who must have had too much caffeine in their systems. Bur held out her left hand in a stopping position, the guards freezing in their place. Their posture straightened and their movements became robotic. "This gentleman has business with me. Do the Court a favor and stand guard at your posts," she said coolly, the guards grudgingly obeying their orders without a peep spoken. Bur exhaled and finally gave the stranger a good look. He had an aura about him that screamed 'i'm different'. Possibly from a present time, possibly from the future? She wondered curiously for a moment and directly her attention back towards the stairs exiting the main building.

"I guess I owe you a formal thank you..." Bur spoke, the nicest thing she had said in a few days. "Thank you, Mister..." she followed, waiting for a response. She tried her best to ignore the gawking stares. She really didn't enjoy attention which was inconvenient in her case.

Adonis Petro

Adonis stood on the edge of a small gathering of athletes outside the Coliseum, his mouth was chiseled into a hard line and his dark hair was uncharacteristically messy. He flexed and moved his muscles, as his eyes glanced over the foreign armor given to him by one of the athlete trainers. It wasn't all that different from what he had taken into battle himself, if only a bit more advanced in its makings and unfamiliar in its fit. He had been allowed to keep his golden cuffs that came with him to Titania, but where the rest of his belongings were he didn't know. His ears listened to the banter of the other athletes, who were individuals of every age and size and from all different origins based on the small bits of information that Adonis had collected since his arrival. Some of the athletes were bursting with excitement to participate in their first "events" as he heard them called. Some were scared, shaking like leaves either based on their previous near death experience in the Coliseum or on their fear of the unknown and stories they had heard. Adonis himself was rather indifferent at the moment. He loved a good fight as much as the next man and he had spent several days rallying a few of the athletes to his team--for lack of a better word--that he knew he could count on for help if the situation called for it. However, the ache in his head from lack of an alcoholic buzz and the deeper pain in his heart--for his love, and now for the rest of his family and Greece as well--kept him from feeling the excitement that seemed to be buzzing through so many.

From time to time Adonis would close his eyes. He had seen so many things he could not explain since arriving here. Clothing, weaponry, a language he just woke up knowing how to speak, foods, cultures that were all new. Had he missed something greater than Greece? Was this the after life? Many of his questions remained unanswered. Cheers erupted from inside the Coliseum as observers began to move in to their peaceful seats and entertainers worked the center ring until the games would begin. As he opened his eyes and focused on the forming lines of individuals still waiting to get inside he observed one man who seemed particularly eager to get in line to view the games. Mumbling to himself, though louder than he had intended he said "If everyone is so eager to be here, why aren't they participating themselves?" Several of the athletes overheard his mutterings and burst into laughter as if Adonis had been attempting a joke, if only they knew he was serious.

It didn't look like Bur wanted to be bothered, and Aileen could care less whether she was or not, but she had enough gawking and wanted to get away from the awkward situation. She turned to the wives and their husbands, calling them down. "Come, let's leave the princess to her business. You are all excited for the games are you not?" she said with a smile. They stared at her and hesitantly nodded, talking amongst themselves before coming down the stairs to Aileen's side. Pleased, Aileen went down the steps to where the officials were. "The group of you as well," she said as she gestured with an inviting hand, "come, join the games." A few parted the group and joined hers, but the rest seemed to want to stay and observe what Draven was going to do with their beloved Bur. Well, it was the best she could do. Hopefully, to the girl she would be more than just a mere citizen of Titania.

She dipped her head lightly in Bur and Draven's direction, indicating a goodbye. With that, she led her group down to the Colosseum. After about five minutes of awkward silence, it was soon broken with the chatter and excitement about the upcoming matches. Aileen wasn't a fan of the Roman gladiator fights due to the blood and deaths, but she was always dragged along by the Royals anyways. As a bonus, when she was there she sat very close to the Emperor's box, where sometimes Rufus himself would come down and watch the games. Whenever she could she would sneak in a hello to the great leader or the Royals themselves would talk about her when they attempted to speak with him. Either way, coming to the Colosseum allowed for many opportunities, including picking up new "groomers". Ha, she was beginning to like the nickname Francesca had given them.

They made their way into the Colosseum through the entrance only permitted to Royals, and took their seats nearby the Emperor's box. Rufus was not present, but Aileen didn't lose all hope as of yet. The games hadn't started. Perhaps he would be down to watch later. After all, these were Olympians he brought. They would definitely provide a good source of entertainment that even Rufus himself would be interested in. The Colosseum had already started to begin filling with the people of Titania. The noise level was already unbearable, and Aileen tried keeping her composure as she continued to smile and act interested in the conversations of the Royals. The wives were bragging about their doll to other Royals, and they had begun to touch her hair and clothing, gossiping about what they should dress her up next in.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

sorry guys too much going on to keep up. I'm gonna put him p for adoption and maybe someone will grab him.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

I cannot delete this post. xD

Anyway, I've submitted a character for consideration!

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

MK thank you all for being so patient with me! I have a new character up that I created, as well as TandraLoris having a wonderful new addition. Check them out.

I posted. Feel free to bump into my character Brice or head to the Coliseum where some action scenes will take place. I think it would be a good opportunity to get everyone together so that there is a better chance at character interaction.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

I will try to have a post up saturday, sorry, been busy

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Go for it! I was hoping someone would want to participate in the games instead of just watch. He can live for as long as you want or as short as you want, all up to you! It would be very much fun to play!

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Would there be any possibility that I could also create a male athlete? I know he might not get a ton of play time/life span since he could technically be hacked to pieces in the arena but it would still be a fun play.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

is it my turn lol? i know the two that are/were interacting with me are waiting on my response lol but i wanted to know if the Toshihiro or sara were gonna post first lol.

Edit: Ok so i was demanded to post lol so thats what ill be working on itll be up sometime tonight.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Im currently working on another character who I will be introducing to the Cove so shortly you'll have someone to interact with. Rockerr and spiker have characters also in the Cove. They were watching the fight which means you are near them.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Thanks for the compliment. I'm looking forward to seeing how things unfold.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Thats for joining TandraLoris! I think your character will make a great contribution to the collected characters that we have. And I think you are a great writer! wonderful first post.

And to everyone else, check out tandra's character profile!

also, I edited my post, including the court of royals section.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Hello everyone. Just jumping into this RP. Thanks for accepting the application. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and your characters.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

awesome posts so far guys! Thank you for being patient with me. I WILL have a post up tonight!

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Okay, I know I haven't posted BUT it's my results day tomorrow (aaahhhh) so I've been major busy trying to organise parties and so on as it's the final few weeks I will get to see my friends before I move away D:

So carry on and I will catch up and introduce my character later, probably Friday. Really sorry about this :(

[edit] The good news is, I passed everything (one subject in the top percent of the country, the other two subjects passed but meh) and got into University! Whooo! I shall try and post this afternoon :)

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Thank for clearing that up, I didn't notice the extra 't' there... :S
I edited my post a touch now I know. c:

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Ohhh I love your post! Nice one rockerr! Very descriptive just the way I like 'em :)

--just one little thing, that isn't even noteworthy but I think it might clear things up just a tad. I knew I would cause slight confusion on this and even debated changing the crystal's name a few times but decided not to. I spell it titanTium (that extra T makes it different). So it isn't titanium, which Rufus would be familiar with. He kind of took the word and altered it for this new substance, and that is why I spell in Titantium. Don't worry at all about the mix up because I predicted that might happen. I just thought I'd point out the spelling difference to clear things up! It's no biggie!--

looking forward to everyone's post! I will pester you all in PM's if you don't get one up in the next two days or so.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Bam! Post up! Trying to figure out an explanation for Titania and get some cigs. Wooo.

Now time to eat breakfast. :3

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Of course, I know it is your favorite thing to do :P

I posted!

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

alright now im just bugging you love lol.

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

UPDATE: MY POST IS 90% complete! I will finish the rest up tonight! Enjoy! I will PM each and every one of you to let you know when it is up and to make sure you all are still around to RP with me ;)

Re: The Time Traveler's Obsession

Haha yes this will be fun. If anyone of you are wondering, "where is the opening post? I thought she said she'd post it yesterday!" then have no fear! I said that before realizing I'd have more character applications coming my way. I don't want to leave anyone out in the opening! So! Tonight after I watch true blood I'm going sit myself down and start writing. If I don't finish it tonight, I'll get it up tomorrow. I want to make sure the opening post has a lot of epic-ness!

Okay for everyone? :)

And in case you haven't yet, read everyone's character profiles! They are brief so it isn't a pain whatsoever ! Thanks
