"All roads lead to Rome.."

This RP takes place in a fictional offshoot of your Earth we know. It takes place in the time of the Roman Empire when it was at its zenith, yet this world is very different then ours. The citizens of the Roman Empire are not just human, there are over hundreds of different types of species that inhibit the great Empire. The current Emperor of Rome has been its Emperor for hundreds of years, none of the citizens know his true name. Only that he calls himself the God-Emperor, and seeks to oppress all people in his Empire. The only accepted religion in the Roman Empire is the worshiping of the God-Emperor, if anyone is discovered to not worship the God-Emperor or speak of him badly, they are killed.

This RP takes place in the capital of the Empire, Rome. It takes place during a great time of change, there are whispers everywhere of rebels seeking to usurp the throne. It's up to you to decide which path you take, will you be a loyalist? Working to protect the Emperor and crush all who oppose him. Or are you a rebel? Seeking to do whatever it takes to kill the Emperor for whatever wrong he has done to you or your people. Or do you simply not care, would you rather live a peaceful life trying to get by?

Things like magic are common, though magic has been made illegal unless you work for the Empire. As well as brandishing weapons in the streets, though you are allowed to carry them if they are not wielded.

The God-Emperor is a very terrible man, responsible for the fall of many proud races. He forces people to worship him and kills whoever disagrees with him, there are few people who are rich in Rome. Except for government officials and noble families who survive off of wealth that they made before the God-Emperor came.

The Colosseum is perhaps the biggest source of entertainment in all of Rome, it is free to watch and many go there to place bets on gladiators.

I'm very lenient on species, however I don't like completely immortal characters. If your character regenerates or has some ability that makes them impossible to kill, keep in mind ways for them to die.

Paste this character sheet in your description when making your character. Multiple characters are allowed, if you can handle multiple then go for it, but don't make to many and lose track of things.
