Sanamura High is known for its high suicide rates but they are about to stop when spirits wont let the students kill themselves. The spirits want to find out what makes the students so depressed. But some are hostile to them. There are many factors that make Sanamura High a creepy and somehow unfriendly place. Maybe because when you come out of the tunnel with the bus, you are in a dead forest with visible ghosts and the moonlight shining red on the school. The students might be put under pressure and the teachers seem to be highly occult or religious in a shinto way. The fishing town at the bottom of the hill has every second house empty. The townspeople seem paranoid saying that the school is for abominations or demons and say that its good that the students kill themselves because no one could live with the fact of being a demon. They hear the dreaded screams of tormented students. Now the police and a couple supernatural beings seem to be investigating in the happenings and this horrible place. It all begins when a spirit catches a student who jumped from the school rooftop.

The school: Sanamura High was actually founded as the Sanamura School for Demons. But its name had been changed. The school is a small high school with 350 students from all around Japan. The students stay at a dormatory. Their rooms depend on their grades. Good students end up living in luxury while students with bad grades end up with plain tiny rooms. The school building has 15 classrooms, a dining hall, a cafe, a gym etc. There are many school clubs but participation has been down for the past 20 years.
