         She tried putting as much space between her and that gas station behind her as she ran, sprinting into a small forest for cover. Luci didn't know what had gone wrong. One moment, she was sitting outside, half heartedly munching on a bland granola bar, the next she was being chased by a group of officers, each shouting for her to stop. Her short blonde hair got tangled in a low hanging branch that reached out for her, grabbing at her. She sent a gust of air towards it and it flew back. Using her power made her "birthmark" itch. She furiously scratched it and continued her trek through the forest. She didn't hear the sound of pursuit, but to be safe, she scurried up the base of a small tree and secured herself on a tall branch. She waited. Waiting and waiting.
