Thoughts: It was many years ago now when I first met Kadan. She was but a child, then, but not in the slightest bit wary of me. I suppose that this in itself was what caught me off-guard. I was further surprised to discover that, though a small, weak child, she lived on her own, in the wilderness, much as I had taken to. Though I was not always in her company, I grew to appreciate it. Kadan has taught me many things that I might never have come to understand otherwise. I am forever in her debt.
