Setting
Now much of Mars is increasingly barren and infertile, its Oceans having long since evapourated, and its arctic water supplies gradually dwindling. A world of extremes, Mars can be both frigidly cold, with howling, bonerattling winds and bakingly hot, as the sun's rays penetrate its thin, reedy atmosphere.
But despite being a Dying World, Mars offers many opportunities for the bold adventurer. Ancient Ruins, littered with the debris and technological flotsam and jetsam of the Ancient Martians, waiting to be claimed by the man or woman foolhardy enough to risk it.
Fantastic resources await exploitation, being both alien and wondrous, such as Energy Crystals, exotic fruits, strange gravity-repelling wood, flexible rubbers and tongue-numbing spices, and much more besides.
Mars is home to the Embassies of the Great Powers, and the British Space Port at OLYMPUS MONS.
