Headstrong young Amali from the working class
Faruq has a chip on his shoulder and is very particular about being treated like an adult. He's prone to bluster and display, though he can back up his bluster if need be. He's also quick to anger, especially at comments about his age or his lack of facial hair, and seems to take any questions about his appearance as a personal insult, though given an apology and distracted from the situation, he will forget about it quickly enough and forgive whoever he perceived to slight him.
Faruq carries a pair of plain, serviceable short swords on either hip and a rather ugly, crude revolver tucked under his belt and hidden under a long coat. He has a bag of spare rounds stashed in one of its inner pockets.
The coat is gray in color, and he wears a plain gray-green shirt and brown trousers with it. He also wears scuffed black boots. His clothes in general are on the worn side, and the colors look faded from years of washing. There's also a bit of mending visible around the seams and knees and elbows of his outfit, as well, though generally it's clean, minus some dust and grease.
Faruq was born to a working class family and spent much of his childhood in the industry district, working alongside his mother and younger sister. His father has been absent for as long as he can remember, so Faruq has largely taken on the role of "provider," though he does his best to avoid anyone he knew as a child and never reveals to anyone exactly who his family members are, should they ask. While this could initially be seen as shame, it seems more like he's hiding something about himself from everyone else.
He hires himself out as a bodyguard and a bouncer, though with his size and stature, he doesn't get as much work as he would like.
