She has a panther tattoo on her arm. Kanan's mother died giving birth to her so she was stuck with her father, James Slade, a famous Spy in Europe. He sent her to the Assassin school to not only improve her killing skills but to explore her interests. She soon discovered that some of those interests involved animal training, later making her the top Tamer in the entire country. It's her last year at the academy.
