Setting
"Get him." Ordered a familiar voice. "I don't want him alive. Kill the traitor!!!" The voice was so familiar it made him stop for a sniff. He had to make sure he was hearing the person he thought he was. The scent came out positive.
Hopping down from the trunk of the tree he was standing on, he just stood there, waiting for all of his pursuers to come near. 'One....Three.... Six.... Seven. Seven is odd.' He thought to himself. "What's the point of their being seven of you?" He asked to who he suspected to be the Alpha. "It doesn't make sense."
The alpha made his way closer to him, holding hid hand up to call the others to a halt. He smiled and lightly sniffed the air so he could smell the final living scent of the traitor. "You surprise me Lone One." He said referring to the wolf in front of him who had neither pack or clan to call his own. "Your smell is just the same as it's always been. Even though you've spilt so much blood." He ginned and licked his lips. "I think seven men might be over kill for this situation."
"Heh. That's exactly what I thought. Why send me seven to kill when four is the usual standard." Seph retorted. "I don't like how they use you guys like slaves. Making me kill all of you for a reason you don't even know about.
This made the alpha angry. "Slaves!!!? We're not slaves!! We are the ones who will take revenge for what you've done. Attaaaack!!!!!" With the order all the wolves attacked in there wolf forms. Going in for the kill while Seph just stood there. He was mad. Not at the thought of them attacking, but at the thought of having to kill people who were once part of his pack. There was a reason why he was the alpha at the time and he wasn't happy to show it. He defeated them all, breaking a major bone inside of their bodies.
He walked to the Alpha and said, "I worry for your future. You believe the lies of the clan Alpha and pursue me with false hopes and knowledge. You can't control more than three rabid dogs at a time. Surely you knew that. Your team is big, but there not smart." He said as he walked away from his old friend. He had a destination. He had a scent. He just didn't know what it was going to lead to. "Craine.... It must be where I can find a will that I've long forgotten." He said to himself as he headed towards town.
He found a decent tree to climb, having no problem seeing by moonlight, and before long was sitting on the highest branch he felt would hold him without breaking and letting him plummet to an early grave. Trees could be rude like that. He smiled and drank in the sight, the smell of the wind. It just didn't feel right, being so close to the ground. But, hold on, he smelled wolves. Well, that wasn't a really big deal, there were lots of wolves out here, so he ignored it. After a minute or two, he found a way to get back to town and made for it, climbing down at a slower pace than up.
He frowned, some scent playing his nose. It smelled like a wolf, an angry one at that. He stepped off the road and skirted around the angry wolf, and came back to the road when a little closer to town. "I'd hate to meet the guy who pissed him off." He muttered.
Sure as sin, that's exactly what happened, as he bumped into a man, dressed in black, with black hair, in the black of night. Soul didn't know this person in the least, so he did the natural thing. He went up to this man, waved to catch his eye, grinned and said "Hello!"
