Introduction

ImageOrphan [awr-fuh n]
1) a child who has lost both parents through death

Out in the open fields of Tennessee lived a family as happy can be. The perfect married couple with their perfect children. They ran a farm to make ends meet and everything was looking up for them. It seemed like the world couldn't get any better. But there was a tragic fire while their parents were delivering goods to the local farmers market. No one in the market lived. Including the twins parents. The twins closest relative would not be able to house them and they could not live on the farm. All the twins could do was stay on the farm and keep working as if their parents were still here. All they had were each other. And all they want is peace and happiness.

Raelyn was wide awake. The sun was high in the sky and the birds were chirping. It was a beautiful day. It always felt like a beautiful day in Tennessee. Rarely did horrible weather strike this part of the state. She ran her hands through her black hair, leaving her brother's breakfast on the stove. She needed to get started with her chores. Starting with feeding all the animals. If they didn't own a farm, the amount of animals they had would be unacceptable. They had four horses, five adult pigs with twelve piglets, an entire coop full of chickens, three roosters, three cows, two bulls, and one cat. The cat didn't do anything. The cat was the only normal pet that liked to travel from inside the house to various areas around the farm. A meow pulled Rae from her thoughts. She looked down and smiled. "Morning." she whispered to the cat. She placed her cup into the sink and left the house. She made her way to the stables to start with the horses. When she opened the doors, they started to neigh. She smiled and grabbed the bucket of horse feed, distributing it among them. Her horse was the brown one with white spots. Rae named her Rita. "Morning Rita." Raelyn gave her horse and extra apple. Leaving the stables, she went to pen. The pigs pretty much ate everything. So she just dumped the rest of the corn feed into the barrels they ate out off. She grabbed some corn feed and dumped that in the smaller bucket for the piglets. They couldn't eat just anything until they grew up.

The farmer girl continued with her chores, feeding the chickens, roosters, cows, bulls, and finally getting back to the cat. That was only the beginning. This was so much easier when her parents were here. Her and her mother would work with the animals while her dad and Isaiah dealt with the more difficult jobs. Such as carrying things around, killing animals, selling them in the market, or tilling the soil to plant more seeds. Rae always helped her brother when it came to the plants. She liked his chores as well as her own. Hopefully, Izzy started working on them. Raelyn moved on and went back to the chicken coop to collect eggs.

Arabelle was sneaking around as usual. The coven was trying to get her. Or at least trying to find her. They have no idea what she had done, but they know she did something. Arabelle was good for staying in trouble with the coven. There was something about rules that she didn't like. Following felt like she was giving up some part of her free will. Luckily she had a best friend name Rowan, that didn't mind the amount of trouble she got them. Well he didn't care about much. Sometimes Arabelle wondered if he cared about her. But she was always afraid of the answer so she just never asked. The witches focus went back to the task at hand. Get back to Rowan's room without getting grabbed. Belle stuck her head out from around the corner and saw that the coast was clear. She held the big black book close to her chest and she started running down the hall. She was really hoping that no one would spot her. As she was running she would take refuge behind something when coven security came out to investigate every now and then. But eventually she made it to his room. She shut and locked the door behind her. Arabelle flashed him a wide smile and placed the book down on the table. She had been trying to get this book for the past couple of months, but now she got it. "I got it!" she exclaimed to Rowan.

This book hold every spell ever done by every sorcerer ever. The Moonlight Coven, being one of the most powerful covens, was put in charge of keeping it safe from anyone looking to bring harm to any of the covens. Security was high all the time when it came to this book. For months she would try and get her hands on it, but she would get caught and punished. Security increased every time she tried to get it. But finally the book was hers. She wasn't sure for how long. The coven was looking for her. She opened the book. She needed to find the spell to bring back her grandmother. A witch who knew what to do with her power. Belle glanced over to Rowan. "Be a dear and keep watch." She asked/demanded as politely as possible.

It was a beautiful day out. The birds were chirping, the sun was shining, and Isaiah was still wrapped up in his blankets. Messy head of hair buried in the pillow. He knew his sister was up already. He had heard her making breakfast, which he could still smell. And he knew he had to get up. His stomach argued with his need to sleep some more. SO far, sleep was winning. Never in all the years of living in the farm had Isaiah managed to get up early. It just wasn’t his thing. He didn’t know how his sister did it so easily. The twenty year old closed his eyes again, rubbing his face on the fluffy pillow, deciding to go back to sleep. Unfortunately, the universe seemed to be against him today, just like any other day. No one wanted Izzy to sleep in, it just wasn’t an option. He felt something cold and wet nudge his arm and he groaned, waving it away. ”Go back to sleep Teehee” he mumbled, knowing very well that his pet wouldn’t listen. She was always the one to get him out of bed. The yellow lab continued to nudge him until he looked at her. She let out a loud bark, causing Isaiah to cover his ears. ”okay, okay, i’m up i’m up” he said sleepily. He pushed himself into a sitting position, stretching his arms over his head and letting out a loud yawn. He squinted at the light coming in through the window. His eyes were still adjusting to the fact that it was no longer night time. The male rubbed the back of his head and got to his feet. He quickly slipped on his shoes and headed out of the room. He followed his nose until he reached the kitchen and smiled at the beautiful sight. His sister had left food for him. He made a mental note to thank her later. He quickly ate, knowing that she would not be too happy with him if he took any longer, and went back to the bathroom to wash up and change. As a result of still being half asleep, he tripped and stumbled several times before he managed to get himself together. He washed his face with very cold water in an attempt to wake up. It did help a little. Once dressed and ready, he headed out of the house with Teehee trailing behind. He spotted Raelyn over by the pigs and smiled, casually heading over and planting a good morning kiss on her cheek. ”Goood morning” he said, stifling a yawn. He looked around the farm. It seemed like she had already done quite a bit, which meant that Isaiah had a lot to do to catch up. Thankfully it was still early. Well, early for him. It was about ten in the morning. Normally Izzy slept in even later, especially when he stayed up late reading a book. Thankfully last night he had fallen asleep earlier than usual. ”Breakfast was delicious” he added, remembering the meal she had left for him. The male waved the pigs a good morning and headed over to the horses. Isaiah loved all kinds of animals, but the horses were his favorite. After Teehee that is. ”Good morning girl” he said, giving his horse a few pats on the nose. He checked on the rest but as expected, Rae had already taken care of them. It looked like the only thing left for him to do was the field work, which would take him pretty much all day. He tightened his boots and looked down at his K9 companion. ”Let’s get to work”.

Rowan had been alone in his room, enjoying the quiet and privacy, until Arabelle came strolling in. Rowan let out a sigh. He knew his peace was officially over. He loved Belle, but sometimes he just needed a break from her crazy schemes and inventions. Actually, he needed a break from her most of the time. The witch was too energetic for him to handle. ”I got it” she declared as soon as the door was closed. Rowan lifted an eyebrow, showing the smallest amount of interest possible, and slowly sat up. He stared at the book in Arabelle’s hand. She did have it indeed. This would only mean one thing. More trouble. The warlock let out a sigh as he watched her set the book on the table and look through it’s pages. He has a tad curious as to what was in it. After all, it was the most powerful book of spells in existence. "Be a dear and keep watch." the witch half asked, half demanded. If the deadpan look on Rowan’s face didn’t tell her he wasn’t going to do as he was told, the fact that he got up and casually took the book from her hands should have gotten the point across. Arabelle knew what Rowan was like, and even so, she decided to be friends with him. Well now she had to deal with the consequences. The warlock thumbed through the pages, looking at each and every spell carefully. It seemed like Arabelle was way in over her head. Rowan skimmed through the procedures of each spell before turning to the next page. ”You know most of these spells require two or more powerful witches” he stated plainly, not even bothering to look up at her. He turned to the page where the spell that Belle had been talking about was found, skimmed over the lettering, and shut the book. ”Forget it” he said, laying down on his bed again. The spell looked like the kind of trouble Rowan did not want to deal with. Not that he cared about caring in trouble, he just didn’t have the energy for it. But knowing Arabelle, she would keep bugging him until he agreed to help. She couldn’t do it alone and no one else was crazy enough to help her. The witch had her mind set on bringing back her grandmother to make the coven better, meanwhile Rowan could care less. He didn’t like their current leader either, but he didn’t feel like going out of his way to dethrone him. He simply refused to do everything he was told. Arabelle’s and his idea of rebellion were completely different. The warlock stared at the ceiling in silence, waiting for Belle to complain about his lack on enthusiasm.

Isaiah finally decided that it was time for him to get up. It was still kind of early for him. She wasn't expecting him to be awake until after she had finished tending to all the animals. But to her surprised he hand planted a kiss on her cheek wishing her a good morning. Rae managed not to drop all the eggs in the basket when he startled her. It wasn't on purpose, but she wasn't expecting him. He thanked her for the food and she smiled. "You're welcome." she responded. Her brother walked away and she checked to make sure that she didn't crack the eggs on her way inside the house. Her black cat was trailing behind her like a shadow. All the free space she had and she decided to follow Raelyn pretty much everywhere she went. The cat crossed her path and she almost tripped. "Kai! You almost made me fall." she told her kitten. All it did was meow in response. She left the basket on the table and noticed that Izzy's dishes were still in the sink. She almost called out to him to make him clean it up, but she remembered that he was going to do field work. Rae just quickly cleaned the dishes and headed back outside. Now that the animals were taken care of, she would be able to play with some of them. The dark haired gal headed straight for the pig pen. It was kind of dirty and muddy, but she never really cared. As long as she cleaned out the pen every day and not let them get mud on her face, she would be alright. She climbed right into the pen and all the piglets came running towards her feet. The farmer giggled, crouching low enough to be able to grab one. "Hello lovelies!" she exclaimed. The pigs were her favorite thing on this farm. They were the absolute cutest and didn't require that much attention through out the day. One three legged piggy came limping towards Rae. She named that one Trio, since he had three legs. She picked him up and kissed his snout. "Don't tell the others, but your my favorite." she said, laughing. Her attention went over to the barking. Teehee was running around, assuming that she was helping Izzy somehow with his chores. It was adorable. Her brother loved his dog. Keeping hold of Trio, she climbed out of the pig pen. Kai was no where in sight. Probably because she never liked being near the muddy pigs. Rae walked towards the field. "Do you want help Izzy?" she asked her brother.

Why Arabelle thought Rowan was going to do what she asked was beyond her. She knew that he wasn't going to do it just because she asked. But it had slipped her mind. This was a seriously important. They were going to get in seriously trouble. Or really Belle was going to get in trouble and then she was going to get Rowan in trouble for just being in his room. But that wasn't the point. The point was that people were looking for Belle and this book and instead of standing guard, Rowan just took the book from her hans. "Hey-!" The warlock already had the book in his hands. Belle wasn't going to try and grab it back because he was much stronger than she was. Despite how annoying he could be, she loved him and hung around him. Though Belle never knew if he actually liked her, he gave away very little facial expressions. She just assumed since she wasn't dead or kicked out that they were close. The witch cracked the door open and checked for guards, but there were none. She was good for now. ”You know most of these spells require two or more powerful witches” Of course Belle knew that. She wasn't an idiot. She was a powerful witch, well at least she possessed the blood of a powerful witch and Rowan was pretty strong. Between the two of them, they would be able to figure out how to work the spell. He stopped on the page with the spell that Belle needed to bring back her grandmother and get rid of the current coven leader they had. "Forget it” What? Her best friend handed the book back and laid back down on his bed. Did he just say no? All that crap Arabelle just went through, she was not taking a no from an apathetic warlock. "Rowan! What the hell?!" she shouted, rather angrily. The witch had a habit of getting mad at him for things like this. He usually just brushes it off and she forgives him. But this was a repeated cycle. "You have to help me! This entire coven is going to shit and my grandmother is the only one who can fix it! It won't be that hard!" she was determined to get him to help her. Just then there were heavy knocks on the door. "Rowan. Open the door. We are looking for Arabelle." Of course they checked here. "You know nothing." she whispered. She took refuge in his closet. The witch held the book close to her chest and she just prayed that the security would just disappear.

Isaiah looked out at the fields. He had a lot of work ahead of him, luckily he could always count on Teehee to help him. He began by collecting the corn. It had been ready for several days now and if he didn't collect it soon, it would begin to dry up. Corn made up a big part of their meals, plus their salary. They couldn't afford to lose any of it. Izzy walked ahead, collecting as much as he could, meanwhile Teehee trailed behind him, making sure he didn't leave any good corn behind. She had been trained to work with him in the fields ever since she was a puppy. She was fairly old now, but could still keep up with the demanding work. Still, Isaiah knew that pretty soon she wouldn't be able to do much. HIs thoughts were interrupted by Raelyn's voice coming from somewhere near by. She offered to help him with his work. Normally he would say no and send her off. Rae could be quite clumsy, and he didn't want her falling and hurting herself. BUt if he didn't get help he wouldn't finish until night time. He had to get everything done while there was still daylight out, including the time he would take a break for lunch. He hesitated a bit but finally gave in. "Just be careful!" he replied, hoping she wouldn't hurt herself on her way to him. JUst to make sure, the brother sent Teehee over to get her and bring her to him safely.

ImageImage

As expected, Arabelle complained about Rowan's decision. She argued about how the coven was going to shit. Rowan already knew that, he just didn't care. Once the coven was unbearable, he would just escape. Whether she wanted to go with him or not would be up to her. The warlock took a deep breath, ready to speak, but was interrupted by the knock at the door. Or rather the pounding at the door. Arabelle took it upon herself to hide with the book while Rowan casually walked to the door and opened it. "Where is Arabelle?". The warlock stared at the two men for a moment before responding. "Don't know, don't care" he said plainly before attempting to shut the door, but one of the men's feet stopped it. He gave them an uninterested look, something that seemed to annoy anyone that knew him. "Rowan, she took something very valuable and important. We need you to cooperate with us for once" one of the men said calmly, attempted to get the information out of him. Rowan simply stared at the two. They stared back in silence for a moment, until they could no longer stand it. "Do you have any idea what she has been up to?". The warlock blinked. Silence. The less he said, the more irritated the men seemed. "Do you understand that if we catch her doing something illegal, she could be sentenced to death?". The two seemed to be at their last straw. Rowan simply stared, unphased. "Not my problem". The men seemed to give up, but didn't remove themselves from the door. "Are we done here?". After a short pause, the foot was finally removed and Rowan immediately shut the door. He sat on the bed like he had been before as Arabelle came out of hiding. Probably ready to argue with him until he agreed to do what she wanted.

Raelyn was going to protest her brother if he didn't let her help. She would probably just start working, ignoring her brother's protest. Usually he uses the excuse that he didn't want her getting hurt, but she wasn't that clumsy. Or maybe she was. it didn't matter, Isaiah needed help. He agreed to accept her help. She smiled brightly and put Trio down. Because of his three legs, she trusted that he wouldn't run off. In fact he just laid down and relaxed in the grass. Rae traded her sneakers for boots and grabbed some tools. She climbed over the wooden fence, almost tumbling to the ground, and got to work. Teehee was running around between the twins as they worked. It was helpful and not at the same time.

ImageImage

Arabelle stayed completely silent in the closet. Rowan was getting rid of the guards looking for her. They should have known better than to ask him to help. It was useless. Belle would know. She asks him for help all the time. And unless she stops screaming and attempts to do it without him, he just ignores her. Finally the guards left, but she lingered in the closet for a little longer. She wanted them to be completely gone. Belle emerged from the closet and walked towards her best friend. "You have to help. It's a best friend obligation!" she started, not even thanking him for not turning her in. "It will be fun to try one of these spells! We will be legendary!" she added. But she knew it wasn't working so she stopped. "Fine! I will just do it myself! I don't need you!" That was a lie, but she was hoping that he would just help after she stopped begging for it. Arabelle got onto the floor and opened up the book. After flipping to the page she wanted, she pulled the pocket knife from her pocket. She carved the symbols on her wrists and then started chanting. It wasn't going to work, but she was going to try.

The twins worked nonstop for several hours, but it was already around one in the afternoon and Isaiah was starving. Teehee started whining, which meant that she was just as hungry as him. ANd he imagined his sister would probably want something to eat too. They couldn't continued to work on an empty stomach. Izzy put his tools down and stretched a bit, looking around the field. "I think it's about time we take a break, don't you?" he said, directing his attention towards the yellow lab sitting at his feet. The k9 barked in response and Izzy chuckled. "I'll take that as a yes". He left his tools on the ground and picked up the baskets with the crops they had collected before heading over to his sister. "Ready for lunch?". Most likely, Raelyn would be the one cooking. Not that Izzy never cooked, he just didn't like to and his sister did. Aside from that, she cooked much better than he did. She probably preferred to eat her own food than to eat his. However, he didn't mind helping her in the kitchen. He usually made sure that she didn't knock over or break anything that could hurt her. It's like he lived to keep his sister from getting hurt, which he didn't mind at all. Izzy was rather clumsy himself, but only in the mornings when he was half awake, or late at night when he should be sleeping. THe rest of the time he'll trip here and there but nothing too major. As they headed back towards the fence, he quickly jumped over it first before helping Rae. Teehee easily hoped over it on her own.

ImageImage

As expected, Arabelle continued to say whatever came to her mind to persuade Rowan to help her, but it wasn't working, and she knew it. The male just watched silently as she gave up and set up station on the floor. SHe began making the carvings on her palms and chanting. Nothing happened of course. A spell like that required a lot more power. Rowan wasn't even sure if the two of them could do it, but she definitely wouldn't be able to by herself. She was determined though, he had to give her that. Sometimes Rowan wished he had the drive that she did to do things, but he never could bother to do anything unless it benefited him in a major way. Bringing this witch back would hardly benefit him, if at all, which is why he leaned his back against the wall and watched Arabelle as she desperately attempted to do the spell. Rowan had heard that when a spell started to work, the book was supposed to start glowing, but not even that was happening. AFter several minutes of a failed attempt, the warlock knelled down in in front of his friend with the tiniest of smirks on his face. It was rather entertaining to watch her try even if she knew it wouldn't work. "How's that working for ya?" he said in a dry tone. He couldn't bare to continue watching her fail, so without another word he sat down and took the knife she had used to make the markings. "I expect to be payed in full as soon as possible, and no I don't take checks". The warlock was joking, well almost. He would be expecting to get something in return for helping her.

The twins worked hard for hours. Or really Isaiah worked hard and Raelyn tried to keep from tripping over her two feet. It was a curse to be a farmer and clumsy. So many disadvantages, such as field work. Luckily, she had managed to keep it together and get a lot done. The farm gal was starting to get really hungry and by Teehee's whines, so was she. "Ready for lunch?" That was the best decision she has had over the past couple of hours. "Yes!" she exclaimed, ready to silence her growling stomach. Most likely she would be cooking. She enjoyed doing so and was way less clumsy when she was cooking. Though she had a habit of breaking utensils. Izzy usually just made sure that she was careful. He wasn't clumsy. He got the better gene. Rae climbed back over the fence and put the tools back where they belonged. Trio was still on the grass, sleeping. He was so adorable. Raelyn picked him up and went to put him back in the pig pen. She didn't want him out by himself. It wasn't safe. The farmer wiped her hands off on her jeans and walked into the house. It was time to get cooking. After washing her hands, she searched the fridge. Burger meat. Cheeseburgers sounds good. Raelyn started pulling out the ingredients and started cooking. "Izzy! Can you feed the horses, Teehee, and Kai?" The horses, the dog, and the cat were the only animals that were fed three times a day. The other animals were give enough food in their living spaces to last throughout the day.

ImageImage

It was not working. Arabelle knew it wasn't working, but she was determined to keep trying. She recited the words, over and over again. She added more symbols onto her arms to help with the power. She read the words really slow, she read the really fast. She even tried to recite the spell backwards. But nothing was happening. The book wasn't glowing and her grandmother wasn't standing before her. It was getting quite frustrating and it was written all over her face. "How's that working for ya?" Belle glared at Rowan. He could be a jerk a good 75 percent of the time they were together. This was another one of those times. The witch attempted the spell once more and failed miserably. Finally her best friend joined her. This was part of the 15 percent when he was actually kind of nice to her. There was still 10 percent that she did not know or attempt to understand about her best friend. "I expect to be payed in full as soon as possible, and no I don't take checks" Arabelle nodded. She would not be giving him money, but she would attempt to pay him back in full. Arabelle would do whatever he wanted. "Deal." The witch took hold of the warlocks hands. He was against contact, but it was needed for the spell. The two started chanting. The book bounced around for just a brief moment, showing signs of life. A flicker of light would appear from the book before dying completely. The two needed to hurry up and get the spell to work. The coven leader would eventually realize what they were up too since the book was coming to life.

Isaiah was beyond starving. His intestines felt like they were eating each other. Maybe he shouldn't have waited so late to eat again. Raelyn immediately got to work on the food and he was beyond grateful. "Izzy! Can you feed the horses, Teehee, and Kai?". The farm boy gently patted Teehee's head as he headed outside to feed the horse first. "On it!" he announced so his sister knew he had heard her request. The horses were always his favorite, ever since he was a little boy, so feeding and taking care of them never felt like work to him. He walked over with their food and a few apples he had stolen from the kitchen counter and began feeding them. He hadn't been able to ride in a while. It felt like too long. There was always something to do and by the time he was finished it was dark out. He could go riding at night, but Raelyn didn't approve of it. NOt to mention that his horse Jasper was easily spooked in the dark. Ironically enough, Izzy had name him Jasper when he first got him because he said he looked like a ghost in the night time. Once he fed all the horses a good amount he headed back inside. Now it was time to feed the cat and dog. Hopefully Raelyn would be finished with the food by the time he was done with them. "I think i'm going riding later tonight" he announced, hoping his sister wouldn't be too against it.

ImageImage

Just as they thought, the moment they merged their power and started chanting together, th ebook began to come to life. Rowan hoped it didn't have some sort of alert system that let the coven know when it was being used because if it did, they were screwed. He would probably end up putting all the blame on Arabelle, but they still wouldn't care. The warlock closed his eyes, attempting to strengthen his power so they could get it done faster. He began to feel a strange sensation all over his body. Like he was levitating, but he was still on the ground. So was Belle. After a few more chants, the book slowly elevated itself between them and began to tremble, as if something was trying to come out of it. Myabe they could bring back the old lady after all. Unfortunately their plans were immediately ruined when the door was busted open. Three guards stood in the doorway, with the coven's second in command. She didn't look the least bit happy. "You're both under arrest" she said in her usual dry tone. Rowan sighed and got to his feet with his hands in the air. "Well that's that". Rowan didn't fight them in any way, he simply let the guards take him. The others took Arabelle, and second-in-command grabbed the book. The warlock was slightly annoyed about being man handled. He shot Arabelle a quick look and mouthed the words Don't move. The warlock didn't plan on just going willingly. He never did anything willingly unless it was to his benefit, and this certainly wasn't. After their walked a few feet down the hall, he managed to escape from the guards hands, tossing them both aside like rag dolls and casting a paralyzing spell on them, just to make sure they were useless. He assumed Arabelle could hold her own.

Raelyn could see from the window that Isaiah was going to feed the animals. Of course he was going to start with the horses. A small laugh escaped her as her focus went back to the burgers. She flipped them and moved on to making french fries. Taking the whole potatoes, she started peeling them rather quickly. Rae was practically trained in the art of cooking. It was the only thing she had managed not to mess up. Taking a small break from the fries, she flipped the burgers again. She took hold a big knife and sliced the potatoes into strips. It was the only way to make them look like fries. The chef pulled out another frying pan, coating the bottom layer in oil. As she waited for the oil to heat up, she started slicing tomatoes, onions, and lettuce for burger toppings. Raelyn should be a chef. But then who would help her brother with all the chores. He would be hopeless without her. The potatoes found their way into hot oil pan. The burgers were done and she put them on a separate plate. There were enough burgers for seconds. Reaching in a nearby cupboard, she grabbed the buns. She just placed them on the table. "I think i'm going riding later tonight" Tonight? As in when the sun goes down? Was he trying make Raelyn an only child. At first she didn't say anything, dumping the fries on a plate. She put the frying pan in the sink. Her brother knew how she felt about him riding at night. It was dangerous and anything could happen to him. She wouldn't know where he was. It wasn't like they had cellphones. Well the had the landline, but that was it. It he needed her, she wouldn't know it. "But it's dangerous. And Jasper is a scardy cat." The farmer added. Jasper gets scared by the tiniest things. It could get Izzy hurt.

Arabelle was getting a weird feeling all over her body. It was as if she was levitating, but she knew that she wasn't. Rowan wasn't either. But the surge of power was giving her a knew strength. The book was responding to the chanting and power. They could actually pull this off. Just a few more chants and her grandmother would be back to take her rightful place as coven leader. But everything was ruined. The guards along with the coven leader second in command barged into the room. The two sorcerers dropped hands, causing the book to fall. No! They were so close. Belle was angry. Rowan was indifferent. As usual. "You're both under arrest" The witch glared at the second command. This was completely different from all the other times, she had gotten in trouble. This was for a good cause. But now it was ruined! The carvings on their hands healed up. The guards grabbed the two criminals while the second in command grabbed the book. Arabelle was going to start fighting, but Rowan mouthed 'don't move'. She decided to follow that order. There was few things, Rowan would do willingly. And he definitely was not going to get arrested by the coven so easily. They got far away enough from the his room and her best friend sprung into action. The guards on him were tossed like rag dolls and stuck with a paralyzing spell. Belle stopped hard on one of the guards toes, forcing him to let go. She punched the other in the face. Belle was far from strong, but she picked up a few things from Rowan. Fighting wasn't something knew to them. Using the same paralyzing spell on the guards, she managed to get away. But she needed that book. "Ignis" A fireball came to her hand and she tossed it at the coven second in command. Not to hurt her, but as a distraction. Her clothes caught on fire and she dropped the book to put it our. Belle ran full speed and grabbed the book. They needed to get out. This was their third strike. If they didn't get out of the coven, their punishment would be as simple as a timeout. Leaving the coven was forbidden, but it was better than being stripped of her powers or possibly killed.

Raelyn didn't say anything for several seconds and Isaiah immediately knew she didn't like the idea. Just like their mom. She never let Izzy or Rae go riding at night. Granted the only one to ever want to do that was Izzy. Raelyn had never liked the idea. "But it's dangerous. And Jasper is a scardy cat. Isaiah remained quiet for a second while he fed his sister's cat and then moved over to feed Teehee, who had bee asking for food for a while now. "I know, but I haven't been able to in a while" he said with a hint of sadness. Riding was one of the things that made Isaiah very happy, and not getting to do it for several weeks was kind of bumming him out. "Besides, Jasper is getting antsy. He's not used to being locked up for this long". Izzy would occasionally give his horse a walk around the farm, but it wasn't the same as getting to run around freely. They both really loved that feeling. He finished feeding the animals and took a seat in the nearest chair. "Don't worry, it'll just be a quick stroll to give Jasper some exercise. I need to ride Rae!" he said, making the last few words extra dramatic. But it wasn't a lie. His sister knew his passion for riding horses. After a moment, the twenty year old got to his feet and walked up next to his sister. He watched her cook for a few seconds before deciding to help out. He didn't even ask on the off chance that she would say no. "I'll be fine, don't worry". Of course, she would still worry, but Izzy was going to be extra careful.

ImageImage

As expected, Arabelle managed to get herself free. She wasn't as physically strong but Rowan had taught her a couple of self-defense techniques she could use to get herself out of sticky situations. Luckily for her, she remembered. She called at him to run, but Rowan was already planning on that. They ran down the hall for several minutes before more guards showed up. The warlock didn't hesitate to knock them out. A few with the paralyzing spell, but most of them with brute force. He could have taken them all out at once with a single spell, but that would entitle more work as well as a loss of power. After several encounters with security, they managed to get out of the building. Unfortunately they were immediately surrounded. The two stood back to back while Rowan schemed in silence. "Put the book down and lift both hands up where i can see them" the head of security ordered. Rowan scoffed. As if. The warlock took a couple of steps closer to Arabelle and the guards moved closer, their guns ready to shoot to kill. "Obey or be killed. You're out of options" the man barked again. The warlock let out an irritated sigh. "The shit you get me into" he muttered, just loud enough for Belle to hear. "Hold onto the book" was the only warning he gave. The second the first shot was fired, Rowan was already working on getting them out. The portal was opened and the two of them were sucked into it along with the book before the bullets had a chance to reach them. .

"I know, but I haven't been able to in a while" Raelyn knew that, but it was worrisome for him to go out at night. She knew how much he loved to ride horses. The farmer gal loved it too, but she refuses to go at night. Her and her mother never liked being out at night. Her father and Izzy thrived at night. It was their peak working time. It was mornings that they couldn't handle. Her brother finished feeding the pets and then he came to her side. He started helping her finish up the food. "I'll be fine, don't worry". She sighed. He was going to do it no matter what. He was so passionate about his horseback riding. Keeping that from him was almost a sin. "Fine. But don't be out there for so long." she warned him. If he was out there for too long, when he comes back he was going to get an earful. Finally the food was completely finished. She set their plates on the table they were going to eat. Raelyn gave the rest of the cooked burger to Teehee. She knew he would like it. Then she took her seat at the table.

Belle and Ro were not going to catch a break. After they ran down the halls, more guards showed up. The warlock handled them mostly with brute force. They needed to save their magic, so the fighting was good. They continued to encounter for security, but they were so close to leaving the building. "Put the book down and lift both hands up where i can see them" Belle was not doing either of those things. And because the head officer had told Ro to, he wasn't going to do it either. Her best friend shifted closer to her and the guard moved closer. All guns were pointed on them. "Obey or be killed. You're out of options" Those were some pretty difficult choices to make. Arabelle physically could not obey the rules and she truly did not want to die. So many pros and cons. Rowan just looked so bothered by the whole situation. Belle kind of felt bad for it, but at the same time, he kept her around knowing exactly what he was going to get himself into. It was all his fault. "Hold onto the book" Belle raised an eyebrow, but did exactly as he asked. Next thing she knew, they were being sucked into the portal that had just opened up. The sorcerers landed in some kind of woodsy area. She wasn't sure where they were, but anything was better than being at the line of fire. Arabelle turned to Rowan. "Thanks." she said to him. "But uh where are we?" she would like to know how far away from the coven they were.

"Fine. But don't be out there for so long." Isaiah immediately smiled at her sister's response. She was still going to worry of course, but he would rather go with her okay than go after she said not to. "I won't!" he assured her, planting a kiss on her cheek. The food was finally finished and they could eat. All of the animals that needed to be fed were fed, the only ones left were the two of them. Izzy took a bite of his burger and made a quiet humming sound. How his sister's cooking always turned out to be so delicious was beyond him. The two ate rather quickly. There was still a lot of work to be done and if Isaiah wanted a chance to ride, he had to hurry. If he finished too late he might not get to. He didn't want to worry Raelyn more than necessary, so he wanted to try to finish by sundown. This way he could do two of the things he loved, riding and watching the sunset. After they had finished lunch, the twins got right back to work. Between the two of them, they luckily finished everything that needed to be done rather quickly. Isaiah was grateful for his sister's hard work, but also for the fact that she didn't fall or hurt herself even once. She may have tripped a few times, but she was okay. That's all that mattered. Once they made it back over the fence, the twenty year old gathered all the tools and went to put them away. Luckily, it wasn't quite that dark yet. "Are you sure you don't want to join me?" he asked Raelyn once more. He knew she never accepted his invitation when it was at night, but he wanted to make sure. Of course having her come along might be even more dangerous.

ImageImage

Thankfully, the portal worked. It spat them out in what looked like the middle of the woods, and it had apparently taken quite a while, because it was already nearing night time. Arabelle immediately asked where they were. Rowan didn't really care, but he knew that she would keep asking. The warlock placed his palms together and slowly pulled them apart to create a small hologram-like globe in between them. He watched as it twirled and slowly zoomed into the dotted area that was marked. "Kingston, Tennessee" the man read out loud and lifted an eyebrow. "Never heard of it" he added, making the small globe vanish. Rowan looked around the place. It was nice and green, and seemingly in the middle of nowhere. He started walking in a random directly, wanting to see what else they could find. If there was nothing there, they would just have to portal somewhere else. BUt the warlock needed a few minutes to return to his full power, and he wasn't sure how well Arabelle could use portals. AT least for the time being, they were stuck.

Raelyn laughed a little at Isaiah's excitement to being able to go horseback riding. It had been a while he had ever been that happy. The two started to eat and it was delicious. Rae's food always tasted better than her brother's hence why she was always the one too cook. Again, it never bothered her. She loved it. The two had finished their meal rather quickly. They must have been starving to eat as fast as they did. Once lunch was completely over, Raelyn quickly washed the dishes before getting back to the field work. There was still a lot to do before sundown. Her brother was working fast and she was trying to keep up. The twin managed not to fall or hurt herself. This was an accomplishment, though she did trip a couple of times. The important part was that they had finished the field work in time for Izzy to go horseback riding. "Are you sure you don't want to join me?" The twenty year old climbed back over the fence, without falling, and put her tools away. "No thanks. I'm going to try and read on the roof before it gets too dark." First was a shower. Rae kissed her brother's cheek and she went inside. Teehee was curled up in the corner of the living room with Kai resting on top. They were both precious. The farmer went to wash the day away and then read on the roof. It was her favorite place to read. Natural light and fresh air was both necessities to reading.

ImageImage

"Kingston, Tennessee" What the hell was that? Belle had never heard of it and clearly neither had Rowan. So they were in the middle nowhere, with a coven after them, with the most dangerous spell book every written. This was just a typical day among the friends. She ran her fingers through her hair and decided to stop asking her best friend questions. He was practically annoyed with the fact that they were even in this mess. Rowan started walking and Arabelle followed behind. Neither of them had any idea to where they were. The witch was out of magic. Between trying to work the spell a thousand times before Ro decided to help and fighting against the guards, she was useless. And Ro had to be weak from the portal, the fighting, and the spell. They were going to need a couple days of resting before they were at their peak power to try the spell again. But she was unsure if she would be able to use the spell book again so soon. The witch attempted to open the book in order to read the spell, but it wouldn't open. She was trying and trying, but nothing. A sigh escaped her. "It's stuck." she muttered, to herself. The sorcerers were in the middle of nowhere, rendered powerless, and carrying a stubborn powerful spellbook. This was the luck of the two friends.

As expected, Raelyn declined his invitation. "No thanks. I'm going to try and read on the roof before it gets too dark." Of course, that was one of her favorite things to do. Izzy nodded, giving his sister two thumbs up, before heading over to the stables. Teehee trailed behind him like usual. "What, you want to come too?". The lab barked in response and Isaiah chuckled. He always wanted to tag along, no matter where Izzy was going. "Fine, just behave" he warned him. Sometimes the K9 had tendency to run around and in between the horses legs, which Jasper absolutely hated. But he couldn't leave him or he would whine the entire time until Izzy returned, and Raelyn could forget about reading in peace. After getting Jasper ready, the farmer tightened his boots and made sure Teehee's collar was secured, just in case he decided to run off. "Rae, i'm taking my son with me!" the twin called out just so Raelyn would know he hadn't gone missing. With that, Isaiah pulled himself up onto the horse and took off, with the lab following closely behind. It wasn't too dark yet, but dark enough that he had to be extra careful, which meant going slower than what he would like to. Still, the feeling of getting to ride again after so long was irreplaceable.

ImageImage

As they walked, Arabelle attempted to open the book. Rowan already knew it wasn't going to open. They had learned about it in some sorcerer's history class that he was forced to attend as a punishment for whatever it was that he had done. He couldn't even remember now. "It won't open until it feels like it" the warlock stated, as if it should have been obvious. Well it was obvious to him anyway. Not that it made it any less ridiculous. Books shouldn't need resting periods, they're books. Lifeless items. As far as Rowan was concerned, it was just a useless collection of pages with scribbles on them, nothing he was interested in. Arabelle seemed to think the complete opposite however. Ro decided she could just deal with the book herself. He wanted no part of it. All he really wanted right now was somewhere to sleep and a bite to eat. They seemed to be walking for hours, but in reality it had only been about ten minutes, when a weird sound could be heard from near by. The warlock stopped dead in his tracks, trying to make out what it was. It sounded like horse hoofs. And occasionally the bark of a dog. The warlock ran a hand through his messy hair with a sigh and continued to walk towards the sound. Maybe whoever was on the horse could direct them to a place to eat. It would have been much easier to just find it on his own, but magic levels were running very low between the two of them. If it just so happened that the horse and dog were on their own then he would just have to talk to them instead.

"It won't open until it feels like it" Stupid book. Why did a book need to rest? All it did was glow. Arabelle and Rowan did all the work. Or really, Belle did ninety percent of work when she managed to get the book. Ro helped with the last ten percent which was doing the spell. More like five percent sine he watched her fail a couple dozen times. But the point was, that this book had no reason to rest. It was always resting. It should have ample power just dying to be used. If Arabelle could she would have set the book on fire out of anger. She had practically memorized the spell, but the book was needed for the spell to be complete. But she was angry with it. And being out of magic was just more frustrating. The witch just trailed behind Rowan, assuming that he had some idea of where he wanted to go. But then he just stopped and she crashed into him. "Hey! You ca-" Then she heard the sound of hooves and the occasional barking. That meant people. Possibly. Which meant food and some place to sleep. Ro was thinking the same thing so he headed in that direction. Belle followed him kind of excited to see humans. Though humans look just like sorcerers, she hasn't interacted with humans in a long time. They were always interesting. The way the don't know anything about supernatural life. As they grew closer, it seemed like whoever was on the horse was slowing down a bit. It was getting darker and so he must not have been able to see much. The witch looked at the warlock and decided that it would be best if she initially talked to the people. He was scary looking even to other sorcerers. She walked ahead of Rowan out into the clearing. "Um hello!" She called out to grab the riders attention. "Do you mind helping us?"

Isaiah hadn't been riding for long when all of a sudden, Teehee started barking into the distance. The rider stretched his vision as far as he could, but there was nothing. The lab calmed down for a few minutes, but it didn't last long. He started barking again, much more frequently than before. Jasper started slowly down the pace on his own, already spooked by whatever the invisible threat was. "Shh, it's okay" Izzy tried soothing his horse by petting his head, but the white steed still seemed to be alarmed. "Um hello!. AT the sound of the woman's voice , Teehee started barking even more and Jasper immediately tried to run off. Izzy managed to contain him, but not for long. "Do you mind helping us?". The twin could hardly hear what was being said over the noise of Teehee's barking. He tried shushing him, but only managed to lose control of the horse. Jasper ran a few feet until the woman appeared out of nowhere. Teehee continued to bark and Jasper immediately put on the breaks, nearly throwing Izzy off. Luckily the rider managed to regain his balance and jump off of the horse before he took off again. "Calm down Jaz, it's alright, sit!" he paused for a moment, trying to sort through the confusion, before looking at the still barking dog. "I meant you Teehee, sit!". The yellow lab gave a few low growls but eventually listened to his owner and stood down. Isaiah let out a sigh and managed to calm Jasper down enough to be able to turn his attention away from him and towards the woman. She was beautiful. Even in the dark, it was easy to tell. "Um, hi?" he said, slightly confused and still not sure of what she had said earlier. A few seconds later, someone else walked out from behind the trees. He appeared to be with her, but didn't look friendly in any way. Teehee immediately showed him his teeth but Isaiah shushed him again.

Rowan had heard all the commotion from afew feet away and pushed himself off of the tree he had been waiting by, deciding to go see what was going on. He walked out to find Arabelle talking to some human guy, who had apparently been the one on the horse. The dog was also with him. Rowan stared at the animals, earning a few growls from the dog, before looking away. He decided to let Belle do all the talking. He didn't like humans, especially male. They always seemed to judge and dislike him before they even got to know him. Not that Rowan cared, it was just annoying. This guy didn't seem to be any different.

Arabelle did not mean to freak out the horse nor the dog. But considering she just came out of the dark and spoke up it was bound to happen. The insufferable mutt continued to bark at the witch. She would have silenced him, but two things were stopping her. One was the fact that she was out of magic. Two was that one of the coven rules was to not reveal powers to a human. It was one of the only rules she has yet to break. So she smiled an acted as though she had her scary looking best friend were completely innocent and lost. Finally the horse managed to calm down and the dog stopped barking. Rowan finally appeared by her side and thankfully did not say anything. One word or evil glare and the horse might just take off running again. "Um, hi?" The rider was quite cute. She could tell that through the dark, but her focus wasn't on that. It was being able to find some place to eat and sleep. "Hi. I'm Arabelle and this is my friend Rowan. We are ridiculously lost and we were just wondering if you could help us out." she started. "We have been wandering for a few hours and we just need a place to eat and sleep." She added. They haven't been wandering for that long, but the human didn't need to know that.

"Hi. I'm Arabelle and this is my friend Rowan. We are ridiculously lost and we were just wondering if you could help us out." the girl explained. Isaiah stared at her almost in disbelief. Lost? How lost could they have been that they ended up here, in the middle of nowhere. The farmer glanced at the man next to her, Rowan apparently, who seemed to be completely apathetic to the entire situation. He focused his attention on Arabelle again as he continued to explain."We have been wandering for a few hours and we just need a place to eat and sleep." Izzy thought for a moment. They had plenty of room at the house, but Raelyn would most likely not like it if Isaiah all of a sudden showed up with two strangers. They didn't look dangerous, well at least Arabelle didn't, but Izzy tried not to be to quick to juding Rowan when he had just met the guy. "Uhh, well" he glanced back in the direction he had come from before looking at her once more. "I actually live just down that way" he explained. "it's kind of a long ways from here though, as long as you don't mind walking a little more" he finished, adding in a light smile. Izzy was always quick to help others, and if they were dangerous in any way, both him and Rae knew how to defend themselves. "We've got plenty of food" he added. He wasn't too sure about Rowan, but Arabelle seemed nice enough, and he couldn't just leave them stranded. Rowan just kept his mouth shut, as usual. He didn't wanna bother with talking. The guy was offering them food and a place to stay and he didn't want to ruin that, mainly because he was starving beyond belief. It was clear that the rider already distrusted Rowan, but the warlock could care less, as long as he was fed. They could just leave first thing in the morning.

Arabelle wanted the human male to just agree to help them. Begging for help was not her finest moment and she didn't like it anymore. If they had to wait any longer she would get Rowan to just use one of his scare tactics. "I actually live just down that way" The witch smiled brightly at the male. He was going to help them. He said they had to walk more, but that would be fine. Anything to be indoors and have some food. "Oh thank you! We are extremely grateful." She beamed. It wouldn't kill her best friend to smile, but that was asking a lot from him. So she did not say anything about it. The witch held the book close to her waiting for the male to head off in the direction of his home. The sorcerers followed the human out of the woods.

ImageImage

Raelyn tried to stay out on the roof for as long as possible. The book she was reading was so good and Kai had decided to curl up close to her. This was the most relaxed she had been in a long time. But as time went on the darker it got. She wasn't able to see the pages anymore. A sigh escaped her and she stood up. "Come one Kai. Time to go inside." She told her cat. With a meow in response, the two climbed back into the attic and down the ladder. Rae was expecting Izzy to come back soon. It was really dark and he knew how worried she got when he was out riding about in the dark. Something awful could happen to him. The farmer tried to calm down as much as possible, but it felt physically impossible. She was anxious. Her brother better come home in one piece. In order to take her mind off of her currently absent brother, she decided to cook. Raelyn headed to the kitchen and got to work. She decided barbecue ribs was the way to go. She got started with them right away, already deciding that she was going to make a pie afterwards. Kai laid on the kitchen table as her owner worked.

"Oh thank you! We are extremely grateful. Isaiah smiled at her excitement. Reactions like those were one of the main reasons he liked helping. "Let's go then" he said before turning the horse around and heading back towards the farm. He remained on the ground and guided Jasper along, while Teehee followed. It didn't seem fair for him to be on the horse while the two of them walked. Rowan trailed behind silently. Arabelle was already acting enough for the two of them , or maybe she wasn't acting. It didn't matter. The point was that he had no obligation to smile too. He continued walking without a word, deciding not to speak unless spoken to. "I'm Isaiah" he said suddenly, realizing he hadn't introduce himself yet. "Izzy for short" he added. He was no longer used to people calling him Isaiah. It felt too formal. He much preferred his nickname. He continued walking for a bit before stopping to look at Arabelle. SHe was clearly tired from walking so much, and Izzy was still full of energy. Horseback riding never really wore him out. "Why don't you hop on?" he suggested, wondering if she was okay with being on a horse. She could be scared of them, but he wouldn't know unless he asked. There was still quite a ways to go and Izzy felt bad for making them both walk for that long after they had already walked for hours. Of course they could both get on the horse, but Isaiah wasn't sure how to approach Rowan, so he let Arabelle answer. Rowan listened in silence and rolled his eyes. If the horse boy was trying to flirt with Arabelle, it wouldn't work. BUt Ro wasn't going to go out of his way to tell him that.

Arabelle was hoping this walk would not be forever. She was so tired. Exhaustion was going to hit her soon and she would rather not pass out and have to force Rowan to carry her. Neither of them would be happy about that. "I'm Isaiah" Or Izzy for short. She liked his name. Isaiah. It was cute. That name fit him rather well. The three of them walked through the woods. It was kind of Isaiah to walk with them instead of riding the horse. Some humans could be rather nice. A lot of them were really rude though. here was still some silence between them as they walked. "Why don't you hop on?" Her first thought went to a piggyback ride. She was going to ask, but then she realized that he was talking about the horse. That made way more sense then her initial thought. Arabelle has never rode a horse. She has seen people ride one, but has never gotten the opportunity. Anything is better than walking. "Don't mind if I do." The witch said with a wide smile. Turning to Rowan, she handed him the book. She didn't want to handle the book and the horse at the same time. The group stopped for a moment, so that she could get on it. It took her a few tries and a hand from Rowan, but she finally got on it.

Arabelle agreed to get on Jasper and Izzy smiled. He wouldn't feel as awful about the distance if she didn't have to walk it. He would have asked Rowan if he wanted to get on too, but something told him the stranger wouldn't like that. After a few attempts and with some help from him, Arabelle managed to get on and get comfortable. Izzy smiled up at her, making sure she was secure before he continued walking. The house wasn't that far now, but the two strangers were clearly exhausted. Arabelle just showed it a bit more. Izzy was rather curious about how they had ended up here. It was such a long ways away from any main road, they couldn't have just taken a wrong turn on accident. Still, he didn't want to ask right out. That would make him seem nosy. Still, it would be helpful to know what they were looking for before getting lost, that way he would know how to help them. "Where were you two headed if you don't mind me asking?". He asked as politely as he could to avoid annoying the man trailing behind them. He already looked annoyed enough.

Rowan was handed the book and he had half a mind to toss it aside, but he knew Arabelle would make a fuss about it, and he didn't want to have to deal with that or having to explain the importance of a stupid book to a human. Humans were always clueless, walking around as if they were the only species. So naive. Arabelle somehow managed to get on the horse without falling and they started moving again. Rowan had never ridden a horse, but he liked them. Animals never annoyed him, unlike people. A little ways down the road the human asked where they had been headed. Rowan switched his attention from the road ahead to him. "Doesn't matter" he said. The first words he had spoken since they ran into the human. The boy didn't say much else after that, which was fine with Rowan. He didn't need to know where they were going or where they were coming from. All they needed was a place to spend the night. There was no need for him to know any extra information. Finally after what seemed like days, they could see the house a little ways down the road.

Arabelle ran her fingers through the horses mane. He was so pretty. And comfortable. If she wasn't so hungry, she would have just fallen asleep on the horse. Every now and then she would watch Rowan to 1) make sure that he was okay and wasn't passing out as they walked. He was strong but he wasn't superman. And 2) to make sure that he didn't just toss the book aside. She would have been pissed he ditched the book. And she would have made him go look for it. But not only did he seem fine, he continued to hold the book the entire time. Through the silence, Isaiah curiously asked where the two were headed. They weren't headed anywhere in particular, they were just trying to keep from getting killed. Belle was going to make up some lie about how she curiously wandered off the main path and Rowan followed, but her best friend spoke up ever so rudely about it didn't matter. He was right. It didn't. But he did not have to be so rude. This man was opening up his home to them. The witch shot the warlock a quick glare, before focusing on where they were headed. Rowan did not care about feelings in general, but he had to know when he was being ridiculous. Finally after what felt like hours, they were nearing the house. From what Belle could tell, there was also a barn. It was hard to tell since she was really tiring and having a hard time adjusting her eyes in the dark.

Raelyn had made a lot of food. Way more than necessary. But the later it got, the more worried she became, therefore excess food. She had made more than enough ribs to feed her and her brother for the next couple of days. She also made mashed potatoes, mixed greens, macaroni and cheese, and two apple pies. There was nothing else to make and she has become worried and angry. Isaiah promised that he would not be out this long and he was breaking that promise. Rae was determined to give him an earful when he got home. The twenty year old sat in the chair, waiting for her brother. Finally she heard the sound of Jasper prancing towards the house. The farmer gal shot up and ran out of the house. "Izzy you gave me a heart attack!" She exclaimed, clearly upset with him. But she saw that there was a girl on the horse and a man trailing them. "Umm, Isaiah..who did you bring to the house?" She asked, with an awkward smile.

Isaiah didn't say much for the rest of the walk. He was normally pretty talkative, but Rowan didn't seem to like talking. Not to mention that he had completely shot down his question. The twenty year old thought it best to just stay quiet. The only words he really spoke were to let them know the house was close. Once they could see it, he let them know his sister was the only other person there at the moment. Arabelle looked thankful, but Rowan looked uninterested. As they walked closer, Raelyn came running out of the house, claiming he almost gave her a heart attack. Izzy was curious to see what her reaction was when he explained the situation. "Umm, Isaiah..who did you bring to the house?". She smiled to be polite, but Isaiah knew her better. She was probably just as skeptical as he was. "Well..." he said, thinking of a quick way to explain that the strangers would be spending the night. "This is Arabelle, and Rowan. They were stranded out in the fields and needed food and a place to spend the night" he explained, letting his sister figure out the rest on her own. He held his hand out for Arabelle and helped her get off of the horse, making sure she didn't fall.

Rowan studied the house, the barn and all of it's surroundings. The place was full of animals. There was at least that. A girl came rushing out of the house. She looked almost exactly like the man that was leading them. Clearly siblings. The warlock didn't bother to say hello or make sort of gesture, he simply remained silent, like he had been the entire time. He watched the others as they spoke, his usual uninterested expression plastered on his face. There was something that caught his attention though. The smell of food was very strong. He could smell many things, apparently fresh off the stove or out of the oven. Hs stomach made an attempt at growling but he managed to shut it up. If he wasn't speaking, his stomach wasn't allowed speak for him. He just hoped they would hurry up and finish talking so he could get a descent meal.

Arabelle and Rowan. Lost in the middle of the field at night. And needed food and a place to stay. Why was Raelyn even surprised that Rowan brought some people back to the house. He was always one to jump at helping people. Even if was a bit strange that they were in the middle of the fields. None the less they had house guests now. She will deal with her brother being late some other time. "Well I made dinner. So you guys can come inside while, Izzy puts Jasper in the stables." She said, her smile brightening a bit. It was nice that other people were around to eat her food. Izzy and Teehee were really the only people she fed. "Oh. And my name is Raelyn." She had almost forgotten to introduce herself. The farmer turned on her heels and headed back into the house.

The witch saw Izzy's look a like come running out of the house. She was pretty, just as Isaiah was handsome. They must be siblings. She quickly glanced at Rowan to see if he was seeing the same thing she was and that Arabelle wasn't insane. But it was hard to tell what he was thinking with such a straight face. Belle has known him long enough to be able to tell when he is exhausted, but that was all she could tell. At least he still had the book. Izzy helped Belle off the horse and she dusted herself off. The girl, who introduced herself as Raelyn, led the sorcerers to food. At that instant the witch's stomach growled. She had been craving food for hours. She could not wait to eat. Arabelle skipped a little closer to Raelyn. "Uh thanks. For taking us in." the witch smiled. She needed to whip out enough thank you's to cover both her and her apathetic best friend. Rae smiled back. "No problem." The twenty year old beamed.
