The place where what you see...
is not always...
what it seems.
But you never get there.
An adult within the institution has been selecting small pods of youths and heβs been selling them- to someone who goes by the name of βBrittleβ.
This adult selects you amongst some others and informs you that someone has kindly adopted you before youβve even set foot in the institution. How lucky. They place you on a train with a ticket (like a little evacuee child) and send you on your way.
You pass cities, towns, small villages, a few farms until finally there is nothing around besides the train track ahead and soon even that comes to an end. The train slows, you youths (being the only passengers left) get off and watch the train trundle away leaving youβ¦next to the building below.
What is this place? Why are you here? Is this some kind of joke?
β¦Perhaps. You find yourself standing outside this wreck of a building, its gigantic but empty. Ugly and broken, floor boards are missing, stairs and walls decomposing all around you it hasnβt been inhabited by anyone...not for decades. You take a seat mulling over why you were sent here disheartened that the adoption was supposedly some sort of scam- perhaps the institutions were full and they were leaving kids out in the middle of no where to die. It wouldn't surprise you after all luck hasn't been on your side lately...Before you know it thoughβ¦you and those who have decided to stick around take a nap.
When you awakeβ¦itβs to the sound of frantic footsteps, wondrous smells and plentiful conversation. Itβs to the sight of glossy wooden floorboards and the scent of beeswax. Itβs to the Brittle House.
You have been brought by Brittle the owner of the Brittle house...He is the eyes, ears, voice and soul of the house and all those that come to inhabit it. You'll see soon enough that Brittle house is quite extraordinary and if you knew better you'd pinch yourself a few times to check whether or not you were dreaming...or sane. Brittle house caters for the other world...the world that you cant quite believe exists...
The Brittle house is a broken down, wreck of a building in the human world at daytime. Surrounded by empty lands and woods its an ugly and unpopular place. At Night time however it is an up and running hotel for customers of the other world. It is on a tidy little island surrounded by a sea as black as the night. Customers arrive on fancy little rowing boats with little lanturns hanging at the ends.
Humans cannot physically see the change that Brittles house undergoes- they will without fail fall asleep whilst the unnatural change occurs. Come night time if the human wakes up in the house they will indeed experience the otherworld side of Brittle house.
Humans will not stay with the Night-time Brittle house and so when the sun rises in the human world- the humans will be back in the wrecked building.
Brittle will trick the youths into becoming creatures of the otherworld. They then, are forced to stay within the Brittle House whether it is day or night in the human world. Brittle will then employ them and set them to work in the colourful House. This is where all the fun will begin...

Suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she saw something flare up. Stumbling backwards from her place on the floor, she watched in horror as the will oβ the wisp turned into a bonfire, bringing a burning sensation to her skin. She drew back towards the door, inching further and further away from the burning otherworldly spirit. She watched the ground close to the glowing figure closely - hoping that it wouldnβt burn down the entire structure.
βThe closest water supply would be the customerβs rooms. Nymphs and dryads are mostly on the left side of the second floor - and their rooms are always wet after all. There should be an empty one around that area somewhereβ¦ we could probably find one in a few minutesβ¦ but by that point - β Shaking her head to get the negative mental images of the Brittle house burned out of her head - it was her home, after all, she took a deep gulp of the air to maintain her calm. She stood up, back placed firmly on the door, and shuddered in a mix of fear and annoyance. The glowing figure made its way towards the vampire and stood before her. βDo. Not. Blame. Her. she hissed, venom dripping from her words.
βSo - is this what she intended to do? Strange. I didnβt realize that these new orphans-turned-spirits would have such strong ties with each other. I certainly didnβt when I arrived here.β Rie sighed - this venom was obviously pointed towards her previous actions. Falling back to what always had kept her alive through the years as a waitress, she put on her so-called waitress mask. She slowly stepped forward from her spot on the door to as close to the will oβ the wisp as she possibly could.
But before she got there, she heard something. βThank you Mazu, you are so kind to stick up to me,β said the vampire - the cause of the flaring bonfire of a will oβ the wisp, was she not? Rie snapped her own eyes open to see what was going on - to see something that upset her confidence. The vampire placed one hand, βsheβs completely calm! No trembling at all!β on the fiery thing, Rie recoiled again. All she could feel were the flames licking up her skin, bringing with them heat and painβ¦ Her pulse raced as her body tensed up to run away, and her palms became cold. Clenching her hands into fists, she was shocked by the vampire giggling softly to herself.
Was burning so enjoyable?
Clenching her blue eyes shut, she stumbled backwards again. At a point, halfway between the door and the two ex-orphans, she brought herself back up a poised, upright position, eyes still closed. βJust ignore it. It wonβt burn you. Ignore it. Think of something elseβ¦ like the face of the dryad, that I covered in dustβ Thoughts composed for the time being, she turned back to what she was going to do. Lashing her tail softly, she gave a slight smile. βDo not blame the vampire?β she gave a small chuckle, before shuddering inwardly. βWho said that I was blaming her? I donβt recall saying the words, I blame her.If you want me, I could, you see, will oβ the wisp. But, of course - you do jump to conclusions. I wouldnβt want you to have any bad ideas,β she continued with her waitress mask in place. Heaving a sigh, and closing her eyes, she continued with a smile. Hopefully, if her eyes remained closed, she could imagine that the flames werenβt, in reality, there. βNow. Here, in the Brittle House - for myself, at the least, the remedy for everything is spirits with honey. Any of you feel up for this?β It was always foolhardy to miss a chance for a prank - they were just spirits anyways. Her mouth widened into a smile, as she pictured what they would look like with these new additions to their skin and visage...

I am writing my explanation post. I am sorry it is taking so long, but I was in a Forensics competition yesterday, and I am now exhausted, but I have to go to my volunteer work and then write a review on the school play later tonight... AND get in contact with my friend so we can get waffles XD

2: Faithy-Jane drinks blood, Ren comments on her blood preference, setting her off into a rage where she destroys the table, the chairs, and the walls of the room. End result - Gwen's irritation.
3: Gwen sends Rie out to collect Faithy-Jane, which she does, and Faithy-Jane returns to clean the room, saying that she would do it alone. In the end, the other orphans jump in to help, along with Gwen and Ren, once Rie returns (after stopping by Buton's Ball).
4. After they finish cleaning, Gwen tries to explain the situation, only to get interrupted. Faithy-Jane, in over-cheerfulness of some reason, dances around with Gwen, who is about ready to murder something, before she collapses of dizziness. Her talking snake, Pip, makes an appearance. Kouta offers Faithy-Jane his blood when Ren explains why that is a bad idea. Gwen is about to explain something.
5. Ali speaks, offering Faithy-Jane a solution to pain by focusing on it (?) and that sets Faithy-Jane in a state of depression, clawing at her own skin and drawing blood. End result - Gwen and surprisingly Ren's annoyance.
6. Ren approaches Faithy-Jane, telling her exactly why so freely drawing her own blood is a foolish idea, and she has a sudden change of personality (?)... and Rie is apparently unsatisfied by or did not hear Ren's explanation, because she throws a punch in Faithy's direction in her disorientation...
AND NOW GWEN REALLY NEEDS TO EXPLAIN THIS XD
The main point of the roleplay hasn't even started... I'll just... go figure out what to say now...
