Academy for Heroes

Pinkie looked around to see who would be her scrimmage partner. She dashed about the place, looking for people, but she could just not spot her eyes on the right person. She let down her purse, and called out, "Anyone want to be my scrimmage partner?!"

Wishing she could have taken a second to talk to Ava, Regina vigilantly watched the speaker who spoke with a fair amount of charisma and listened to his words carefully. She couldn’t help but chuckle at the idea of a dance with the villains, how…goofy. She thought, if they had the villains in their hands why not get them before they could terrorize innocents? But Regina figure that it was probably something to do moral code and such. It was then that the attentive announcer also said that they needed to find a scrimmage partner…A scrimmage partner? She thought slightly unsure as to whether she should ask someone, or wait to be asked, as she didn’t really mind who she fought, although, it did cross her mind that maybe fighting Cassidy would be fun, just as a game, Regina would never want to seriously fight her. Regina just looked around curious; this year seemed to have a lot to come.

"oh, well," Cassidy shrugged, "Regina? Let's see what you've got! Partner?" She figured it was a great way to start a friendship of her own with the Grayson who had been so happy to see her. She now wanted to test this out to see if it was actually going to be worth it to consider teaming up with the girl later on. She hoped it was, but was determined to find out. And besides,it could be fun!

A confident and intrigued smile crossed Regina’s face glad that Cassidy had offered, she was kind of intimidated by some of the heroes, “Sounds awesome.” She stated. She suddenly felt significantly safer fighting someone who wasn’t pumped with powers. She was excited to fight, she’d done some hand to hand combat stuff with her father, and has been learning a whole lot more with the technology bit of fighting, and she was prepared to at least try. She had to improve sooner or later.

"About time!" Alex called out, getting one of those 'looks' from the headmaster before he exited. Seeing as how Cassidy and Regina had already paired up, he took a quick glance at the others. He didn't feel all to good about fighting little kids, even if one of them was a Kent. "Well Ava, how about it? Feel like fighting a Green Lantern?" A short flash of green light, and Alex was standing in the usual attire all Lanterns wore. While it was a bit flashy, at least he thought so, Alex wore it rather proudly. He considered it a real honor to be apart of the Corps, and tried his best to uphold their good name. "I don't plan on going easy though." He had heard something about a dance with the villains, but didn't think too much about it. Though, he did wonder about the idea of dancing in the same room as some psychotic future killer. But he knew the schools had their reasons, and left it at that.

Ava listened to the headmaster with interest, she was looking forward to the dance and started to think about her costume, would go as her mother or re-vamp her fathers costume, it was going to be amazing. The only thing she was having any doubts about was the fact that villians academy was going to be there, it seemed to be a little ridiculous, surely the headmaster would know that a fight was bound to break out, shrugging it to the back of her mind she figured that he must have his reasons behind the meeting. Hearing about a fight between the heroes in the courtyard sparked her interest "Well Ava, how about it? Feel like fighting a Green Lantern?" Alex asked her "I don't plan on going easy though." he warned and she sat back in her chair smirking shugrly "maybe i should be asking you how you feel about fighting the green canary?" she laughed lightly "you realise i'm the worlds greatest marshal arts expert right?" she asked with a slight arch of her eyebrow.

Raine walked in to the hero academy with dark sunglasses on and her hair tied into a messy bun. She flicked her cigarette in the ash tray by the door. It felt surreal to be back in the Academy. Raine climbed the stairs reaching the third floor her face lit up a little as she walked in to 303. "Home sweet home." She sat on her four post bed running a finger over her symbol on her choke it was a silver crescent moon with her father's bat symbol. She couldn't help but feel envious of Cassidy "Why can't you be more like your sister." Her father's words crawled across her skin giving her a trail of goosebumps down her neck. She liked her half sister, well Cassidy. She had heard her other little half sister Katherine was enrolled in the Villain academy she never met the little girl. Her mother hid that she was carrying the Jokers baby until she had her sending Raine away angry at her for being a goodie goodie. She took a deep breath laying back on the bed as the intercom clicked on. She threw a pillow over her face as she listened. She bolted up as the dance was talked about. "I guess I will meet her maybe she wont she Mom in me or something..or she wont hold her judgement on me.."

Lily walked into the Villain Academy, she held herself with more cockiness then she earned. She had her mothers entitlement issues her carried her bag with her up to her dorm 210. She took a deeo breath and stepped in she really hoped she wasnt going to have to share a room this year. Sharing so wasn't her thing the idea of it pissed her off to no end.The intercom came on talking of the dance she smirked a little to big at the idea of it. "Discord this quick into the year, ithink this might just be a good year after all."

"Then this'll be more fun than I thought." Alex smirked, beginning to hover above the ground for a moment before flying off to the courtyard. Now things were starting to get a bit more fun. He'd been working on a number of things over the summer, and was waiting for the perfect moment to test them out. And up against someone as skilled as Ava, he was bound to have to use them. Landing in the center of the courtyard, Alex had a large smile glued to his face. He was a little uneasy about fighting a martial artist, and an archer. His usual medium to long range tactics weren't going to work with Ava. So now the question was how he could throw her off.

as all the students filed into the courtyard, the headmaster stepped out. "now, there's one thing that you all missed, you shall not be fighting your partner, but rather, you shall be working with them!" the headmaster loved to throw people off. "Many times, you do not get to choose your opponent, so this is practice for you to be working with your peers. We shall have Cassidy Wayne, Regina Grayson, Shorty Kent, and Raine Kyle-Wayne (who shall be joining us in a few moments)," he was obviously some sort of psychic, "fight against Ava Queen, Alex Jordan, Pinkie West, and I believe our new student teacher, Mr. Stewart, if he decides to join us," he said, "i'll give you all a moment to strategize,"

Cassidy was only a little surprised. She had been going here long enough to know what to expect.

Pinkie jumped up and down with excitement. She gave a quick glance to Ava and Alex, and nodded her head at them.
"So?" said Pinkie, crossing her arms as she began to get impatient already. She didn't have a very good patience, and making her wait would get you on her bad side.

"Alright!" Shorty said flying over to Regina and Cassidy, "Now we just need Raine! We'll be an awesome team! I know it!" He jumped up and down excitedly. He loved a friendly fight. And he couldn't be hurt easily! This was going to be great!
Cassidy, he knew, was Batman's daughter. She was the amazing and beautiful Hell Bat, Gotham City's next great hero and her father's legacy! He had heard so much about her! And Regina Grayson! She was amazing, he had heard, and a skilled fighter! They had said if the two teamed up, they would make a team to rival the Dynamic Duo themselves!
But he hadn't heard of Raine. She was a Wayne, though? That didn't make sense. He knew Batman had other children, but wasn't Hell Bat the only superhero? He guessed not. It was a little strange, though. Raine was Cassidy's half-sister, right? Would there be any jealousy between them? He hoped not.
He just hoped Raine was pretty.

Heroes Academy
Pleasantly surprised by the Headmaster’s announcement Regina gave Shorty an enthusiastic smile Regina nodded offering out her fist in a fist pound, “You ready to kick some butt?” She asked attempting to connect with the youth; they were the future after all. She was also kind of enthusiastic now, as she was a little immature kid at heart. Raine-Kyle Wayne however, the name barely rang a bell; she thought maybe she’d heard her dad mention her once or twice? She wasn’t sure. She was intrigued to meet her though, as she had yet to be put on display, to show herself off to Gotham it appeared, which gave her the possibility to be anything…She also couldn’t help but wonder who their new teammates mother could be.

Villains Academy
The architecture looks nice. Jessie thought as he flew down to the ground landing with an effortless stance, he pulled down his hood and looked around admiring it one more time before pushing open the iron gates and starting in. He was silent; he was where he belonged he assured himself and started into the building, the place didn’t look to shabby as he figured he should make it to his dorm, he could care less about the meeting he missed. He didn’t assume it was anything important. Jessie had done some reading up on the place over the summer, he guessed it was just basic information, rules and regulations that he was sure everyone would break over time, and maybe some information on the first day, but that’s about it. He figured The halls were kind of empty, but there was noise all around.

Seeing Alex fly off Ava rolled her eyes, standing up and grabbing her bag she followed the throngs of students making their way out to the court yard, this surely was exciting, sure the only superpower she possessed was the 'canary cry' which she had secretly perfected over the summer and along with her being a master of marshal arts and archery she was definitely gonna kick the Green Lanterns ass. As she reached the courtyard she approached Alex smirking "so ready for this Jordan?" she asked pulling a compact bow and arrow which strapped to her thigh, looking up she smiled "oh don't worry it won't hurt, well much" she laughed.

Hearing the headmasters words she let out a little sigh "well, how do you want to do this?" she asked, smiling as Pinkie approached them.

Raine sighed rolling over getting up and heading to the courtyard. "Yeah yeah I'm coming." She walked up to Cassidy,Regina,and Shorty. "Well hey guys." She looked at the new kids "So whats the plan then?" She looked at the kid "Your the Kent kid? I assumed you were older, you are going to be quite the little heart breaker." She winked at him pulling her blonde hair out of her pony tail. She looked at her "sister" keeping her eyes down "Nice to see you again Cassidy. Pops said to make sure I gave you this." She pulled out a crimson red bat-a-rang.

Pinkie looked at Raine as she approached Shorty. She got a little grossed out when Raine winked at him, and stepped up to her, and Pinkie stepped in front of her and Shorty.
"Hey Raine!" said Pinkie, and waved at her.

While he was a little disappointed he wouldn't be fighting Ava, Alex was also quite pleased that there would be a team fight. It would mean he'd get to impress one or two people; hopefully. And the thought of fighting alongside Jay perked up his mood even further. He liked the idea that a potential Lantern didn't take the job. And it always fun to pick on the guy, even though he was older. Returning from his slight daze, Alex shrugged slightly to Ava's question. "Not too sure. We can rush them head on and hope for the best. Although, that wouldn't be the best idea.." He took a quick glance over to the others, a few ideas forming in his head. "Or.. I could maybe hound them with some long distance problems while you and Pinkie over there," he gave a short nod to the girl, who seemed to be wrapped up with something. "Hit them hard and fast."

Lilly Richardson

Lilly stood right outside of The Academy, trying to get up the courage to go inside. She looked up at the top of the doorway and marveled at how big it was. Anyone could fit in there! Maybe even giants...

"Should I go inside?" The small brown teddy bear she was holding shook it's head up and down. And although she was the one controlling it, she heeded its advice. She closed her eyes, scared at the thought that there might be giants inside, and stepped through the door. Once inside, she ignored the anouncment to go up to the meeting room. She just looked at where her room was and ran there as fast as she could. The small six year old then opened her door and stepped inside, being careful to close it. She didn't want to break it by accident. The grown-ups would get real mad at her for that. She hugged Teddy closer to her body and jumped onto the bed, pulling her book bag with her. Taking out her small pink blanket and pulled it over her head, she was convinced that today, she wasn't going to school. Everyone would just think she was really sick. She just hoped that no one would come in and make her... because adults always knew when you where faking sick.

Raine smiled down at the little speed demon. "Ready for a fight little flash?" She gave the other team a quick wave "Good luck newbies" Her smile was soft and friendly. Raine looked back to her group, she fixed the twin bat handled daggers strapped to her thighs, untying her whip from her waist. "Hell Bat you and Chickadee want to take point?"

"Oh you bet I am!" said Pinkie, dashing around her in a circle. Raine then began talking to other people, and Pinkie smiled. She liked her; she seemed very cool to Pinkie.

Excited, and glad that Batman now was father to two cool daughters; Regina gave a warm smile and a quick comforting glance to Cassidy, before turning back to Raine, “I don’t have a problem with taking point.” She said confidently. Regina honestly hoped this year was good, the people seemed nice enough. She just wanted it to stay this way, she wasn’t one for school drama. She’d been kicked out of public education schools for fights before, but yea know, details. Whatever.
