Myrion Testarossa

"Who is this weirdo!? What's going on?! WHA-?!"

Floor 7. Located a little above the midpoint of the Deep 17, it, while not containing any truly dangerous subjects, played host to a large number of the labs in which the foundation's many experiments were conducted. Thus, most of the subjects contained therein, while potentially dangerous due to the unexplored nature of their abilities, had been deemed safe enough to test upon. Thus, although the utmost precautions were taken to prevent the specimens' escape, and they were observed constantly, the level was, for the most part, devoid of guard personnel, especially in light of recent incidents on the lower levels that had demanded their attention elsewhere. As such, most specimens on that level had been sealed to the full extent their various containment environments would allow, and left there.

Although an exception in many other regards, one Myrion Testarossa was included in this blanket statement. Although the camera observing his room (having recently malfunctioned due to an electromagnetic emission from an experiment he'd been performing) had been taken out for maintenance, he was trusted to obey the rules even in absence of official supervision. And he, for his part, wasn't one to do otherwise, which meant that it was a simple enough matter to just stay in his room and do what he was told. In this case, he hadn't been told to do much of anything aside from that, so he'd mostly been spending his day surfing the internet for cool ideas for new, seemingly impossible inventions. And, after that had been done, he'd decided to hit the lights and then the sack, in that order. After all, although he couldn't say for certain what time it was on the surface, nighttime in the Deep 17 was essentially whenever you felt tired enough for a nap.

He had been rather enjoying this respite, as one was ought to do when one held no outstanding obligations, when something most unexpected occurred. He wasn't sure how they'd gotten in, since the door was supposed to be left locked at all times, but suddenly, out of nowhere, someone or something leaped into his bed, ripping the covers off of him before violently tugging them down over both him and itself. He gave a cry of confusion and fright as, thus rudely awakened, he found himself grabbed - or perhaps "nearly crushed" would be a better choice of phrasing - by something humanoid that was evidently trying to make itself as small as possible, and somehow, in curling up in a ball underneath his covers, had encircled him at its very center. (Un)Fortunately, the blankets muffled his cry of alarm, which went unheard by the guards rushing past in pursuit of the subject that had eluded them in the hallway outside, thus leaving him alone with this strange intruder in his bed.

Baffled, sleepy, and more than a little afraid, he managed to shake free from the trespasser, rubbing his eyes vigorously as he scrambled to the foot of the bed. Kicking out a foot, he forced back the covers and tried to make out who or what exactly lay there in the darkness before him. "W-who's there?!" He exclaimed drowsily. "What's happening?!"

The sudden jerking reaction of the room's owner forced Nina to relinquish her hold on the person and cower under their covers. Upon their exclamations, she seemed to suddenly realize that she was the trespasser here and tried to piece together the situation. "What's happening?" She repeated the question. "Uh... Oh! Someone on the upper level is causing trouble! So I got out of my room and-" She cut herself off. What was the best lie here? A heroine like herself couldn't just say that she was afraid of a few guards and hid. "...And I decided to pop in your room and check on you! Absolutely. After all, a heroine of justice will always look after her people!" Perfect cover. She placed two triumphant fists on her hips to strike a pose, puffing out her chest. "Aren't I just the best? No need to thank me, really."

Tearing off the covers from herself, she fixed her scarf into place, mussed with her hair a bit and gave a grin to the room's owner. Scanning them over, they were... actually really pretty. She hadn't seen long, blonde hair like that in a long time. She must have been growing that forever! Had she seen this girl around before? No, she'd have remembered something like that before. "So... yes! I see that you are... secure! I've gotten my job done here." Despite saying that, she didn't leave the room. Rather, she approached the door and put her ear to it. She didn't hear any more talking or footsteps, which meant that she had narrowly escaped the guards. Her figure slumped in relief as she wiped imaginary sweat from her brow onto her comically-gloved hands. Reaching for the light switch, she hit it. The room owner's hair was even prettier with the light on. It stole her attention with jealousy. It had a certain shine (or maybe cleanliness) that hers didn't. "Tch." The girl sounded in her jealousy before turning her attention to the door. "The coast should be clear for escape now... I just have to figure out how to get through the other levels." She began muttering to herself as she struggled with the decision to open the door. "Push comes to shove, I could fight... but what if I overheat? Then I'm sunk. Dangit..." She sighed, turning to face her "roommate." "You there! Pretty girl! What's the fastest way to the lower levels?"

Myrion Testarossa

"If this is a heroine of justice, then I'm a ballerina. Hmph. Escaped prisoner is more likely."

Myrion stared, listening in bemusement as his unexpected visitor - evidently a girl, if her voice was any indication - began rattling off a bunch of nonsense. He didn't even know where to begin poking holes in this farce, so he decided he would just start with the obvious and work his way from there.

"Someone on the upper level is causing trouble," Repeated the youth skeptically, rubbing his eyes several times as though trying to make sure this wasn't all some really stupid dream. Not that he'd dream about a girl - who, judging by her voice and demeanor, was probably somewhere close to his own age - jumping into his bed while he was in it and giving him a big squeeze. He colored terribly as it finally occurred to him that, if this wasn't a dream of some sort, then what he had just described to himself must have actually happened just then. Fortunately, the lights were still out, which meant that unless the girl possessed some sort of freaky sixth sense, she probably didn't notice his embarrassment.

Deciding to forget about that thought, since he had no idea how to process that sort of information, he simply fell back on his usual approach to life, the universe, and everything - copious amounts of sarcasm!

"The upper level," He repeated once again, placing even more emphasis on the word as though his meaning hadn't been obvious enough already. "Where they keep all the safe specimens... in storage," He added, deadpan, just in case his listener didn't have an intellect greater than the average wall, and thus hadn't already discerned his meaning. "Nevermind that. So because somebody was causing trouble... you decided to check on me. Now, if you were actually an employee of the foundation, you'd know that there are much more dangerous things you could have chosen to check on. So either you're a coward and wanted to avoid danger, or you're lying. But that doesn't even take into account the fact that you sound like a kid. Now, I know for a fact that the only kid who works here is me. So where does that leave you, hmm?" He sighed, rubbing his forehead. Just by adhering to the principles of Occam's Razor, he could easily dismantle this girl's flimsy ruse. Still, somebody like her didn't seem immediately dangerous, and this was a rare opportunity for some conversation, so he supposed he'd hold off on simply screaming for the guards. This decision was especially sensible, he mused, since, as a test subject of some sort, she probably had the ability to kill him in at least fourteen different undoubtedly creative ways before they might arrive to save him.

However, much though he may have desired conversation, the girl didn't seem particularly keen on providing it, since she'd just been standing next to the door - presumably listening for guards outside - and mumbling to herself unintelligibly. She had turned on the lights, though, which would have been nice - since he could finally see who he was dealing with - if it hadn't raised a whole new dimension of awkwardness.

Listing things in inverse order of relative importance, the obvious starting point was that the girl was.. well... a girl. Myrion didn't have much experience dealing with the opposite sex, but, although he didn't really have any frame of reference to compare her to, she did seem rather pretty. This wasn't in a classical sense, like the refinement of old, regal paintings, or in a more modern sense, like the glamorous sorts of women you might see in movies or on TV. But she had a nice face, with a big smile, and kind of fluffy hair that, if she paid more attention to its upkeep, would probably look pretty nice, even if it was kind of weird, being an inexplicable shade of electric blue. He supposed that this coloration was alright, though, since it matched her equally bright eyes. Unlike his own pale skin tone, she had a much more reasonable complexion, suggesting that she'd probably lived outside for some period of time. All of this was fine. What was awkward was the way she was dressed.

As far as the facility went, jumpsuits were pretty normal. Jumpsuits that were unzipped almost down to the wearer's waist, however, were most certainly not. Fortunately, her chest was A: nearly nonexistent and B: covered by some loosely wrapped bandages, but that didn't really help matters any, since even if he hadn't reached the sort of mental state where his eyes might be drawn to that area without his knowing, it still felt like he was having a conversation with a girl who was functionally in her underwear, which just made him feel very, very improper, since as a gentleman, respecting a woman's right to privacy was critical! The fact that she didn't seem to mind parading herself around like that, while confusing, didn't change matters any.

Next on his little agenda of awkwardness, though, was the fact that despite his efforts not to gawk at her in spite of her weird appearance, she seemed to be making no effort not to stare at him. Fortunately, he'd gone to sleep in his normal clothes - a featureless red knit T-shirt and matching black pants that terminated right around his ankles, in this case - which meant he was now spared the humiliation of being ogled in his pajamas, but still, he didn't have much experience with people, and thus strongly disliked being stared at.

The most awkward thing of all, however, was that he knew this girl quite well, even if she herself probably didn't remember him - and what knowledge he had of her made him feel like he had to figure out what it was she was really trying to do by breaking out of her cell. If she was using her abilities irresponsibly, it would be up to him to correct her. That was just his duty.

And thus, Myrion struggled to regain his composure, the seriousness of the situation prompting him to enter "business mode" and forget about his bafflement and the overall awkwardness of the unreasonable scenario into which he'd been thrust, in order to get right to the cause of things and hopefully resolve whatever issue was currently in progress before it became an incident. So, opening his mouth, he tried to address the strange girl in front of him, only to be interrupted by an inane query that nearly made his blood boil.

"You there! Pretty girl! What's the fastest way to the lower levels?"

WHAT.

DID SHE.

JUST.

CALL.

ME?!

Myrion's left eye twitched slightly as he desperately struggled to retain his composure. Standing up from the bed, he made a point of looking behind him, as though scouring the entire room for some unseen third individual who the girl might have been talking to. Of course, no such person existed, but it helped him keep from exploding right away, which meant he might be a little calmer when he decided to correct this foolish misconception of his gender.

"Ehem," He uttered quietly, clearing his throat in a very noticeable, deliberate fashion. "Might I ask," The irritable prodigy began, his voice positively dripping with both frustration and sarcasm. "Who you think you are speaking to? Because the only girl I see in this room, pretty or otherwise, is you, madame. Are you perhaps hallucinating? Or did someone invisible enter at the same time as you, while I was unawares?" His voice seemed tense, as though he was about to snap at any minute, with each of his questions being even more pointed than the last. "You see, I'm fairly certain that neither of those things are true. If there were any invisible subjects on this level, surely I would know about them. And, I sincerely doubt that a Living Weapon like yourself would be programmed to halucinate. So therefore, I must draw the conclusion that you were in fact addressing me." Speaking thus, he slipped his hands into his pockets, pacing to the far side of the room with a deceptively casual gait, before strolling methodically back. As he uttered his last word with particular relish, he abruptly surmounted the bed once again, standing upon it like an orator upon some great stage, looking down at the girl beneath him while raising a finger to point to himself, a fire seeming to ignite in his eyes. "But there's one simple problem with that hypothesis, you see... BECAUSE I'M NOT A GIRL! I'm not 'just' an experiment, either. I am Myrion Testarossa, and I am my father's son. DO. YOU. UNDERSTAND?"

The girl seemed to respond to his earlier accusation with a grin. The gleam in her eyes was one of respect at figuring out her "clever" ruse. "Fu fu fu fu... So, you saw through me. I have to say, you're a lot smarter than you look. I commend you for seeing this far, girl, but you'll make it no further into my mind!" She swished her scarf behind her the way a dramatic hero would their cape. Crossing her arms over her chest with a smug grin, she gave another one of those laughs before nodding. "No, no, you'll never figure out that I'm actually planning to get out of here." She didn't even seem to realize she said what she did as she kept an ear on the door. The girl was blissfully unaware of the boy's inner turmoils at her appearance or demeanor. In fact, she appeared all too comfortable with the fact that such things were inconsequential to the situation at hand.

The boy suddenly seemed to upset at her questioning. He started talking... a lot. Asking a lot of questions and generally seeming to get more heated as he went on. To be perfectly honest, he lost the girl about halfway through asking if she was hallucinating. Her expression blankened as he just went on and on, overloaded with questions to answer, statements to reply to. "Goldilocks, think you could just... I dunno, relax?" She asked about halfway through his rant, though he seemed so invested in it that it went unnoticed. With a sigh, her expression displayed boredom with droopy eyes and flat-lined lips. Though he did say one thing at the very end that caught her ears.

BECAUSE I'M NOT A GIRL! I'm not 'just' an experiment, either. I am Myrion Testarossa, and I am my father's son. DO. YOU. UNDERSTAND?"

Her eyebrow raised in confusion, glancing up and down the person in front of her. "You, uh... you sure?" She replied, taking a few steps closer. She seemed to be incredibly deep in thought through squinted eyes as she stared this kid down. They looked... pretty girly to Nina. In fact, girlier than she ever did, before or after arriving here. After a while, her arms re-folded over her chest as she snickered. "Fu fu fu... I get it. You're still a kid and don't really understand gender. I get it. But looks, girls aren't sons. They're daughters. Boys are sons." She really was dense, it seemed. Nina felt as though she were doing this 'Myrion' kid, which was definitely a feminine-sounding name to her, a favor by explaining that difference. "Come on, us girls shouldn't be fighting like this. Look, look at this. I'll show you. See," she made her way over to the boy, using her inhuman strength to keep him in place as she wrapped an arm around his shoulder. "See, boys have these... things, down here. Us girls don't. Look, see, you don't have-" She made a pretty grave mistake. Giving his region a pat to show that he wasn't a boy.... only did the opposite. She shrieked and backed off with a speed that almost seemed impossible. "Y-YOU'RE A BOY! A BOY! WHAT!? BUT YOU'RE PRETTIER THAN ME!" She stared down at her gloved hand as if it had been suddenly split in two. "I-I... You! I just... he... I..." She seemed to be at a complete loss for words as she came to this realization. He... was really a boy. "Oh sweet heroes of old, what have I done?" She immediately removed her glove and threw it at the wall that held the door in place. Incredibly embarrassed, shown by the color on her face now, she tried to avert attention from the subject. Maybe he'd ignore it if she did. "But a-anyway, back to the subject at hand... How do I get out of here!? If you work here, you know the fastest way, don'tcha?!"

"WHAT DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND ABOUT THE WORDS 'I AM NOT A GIRL?!' LUNATIC!"

Despite Nina's obvious show of embarrassment, if anything, her display was nothing compared to the variety that erupted from the boy she'd just unintentionally molested.

First, he began squirming, protesting loudly as she grabbed hold of him, to "demonstrate" a fact that he already knew quite well. However, his words were swiftly silenced by her little monologue, and due to the sheer insanity of the situation, he found himself spontaneously incapable of forming coherent sentences, in favor of simply trying to tug himself free and shouting "Leggo!" over and over again with increasing levels of desperation. The last of these was silenced by a groan of pain as, apparently deciding to put his gender to the test, the girl gave him what was doubtless meant to be a slight prod. Unfortunately, when one is an extensively modified combat cyborg with no self-control, the word "gentle" becomes completely inapplicable to any and all actions one may perform. As a result, Myrion swiftly doubled over, the pain of this unintentional attack upon his privates the only thing outweighing his sheer humiliation at being so wrongly used and at this dense girl's condescension and sheer audacity.

Rolling around for a few moments on the bed in a vain attempt to somehow diffuse his unseemly pain into his surroundings, this sensation was at last surpassed by the only other feeling he was currently experiencing that was comparable to it: sheer, confounded rage and righteous indignation.

"ARE YOU MAD, WOMAN?!" He howled, forcing himself up from where he lay, his eyes giving a death glare more intense than the radiance of a sun. "Have you no sense of DECENCY or PROPRIETY?! You would be so brazen as to barge into my room, force yourself into my bed, ignore everything I say to the contrary, and then... then... you... you... you..." His words trailed off into a sound comparable to the whine of a simmering tea kettle, his face flushing bright red as the implications of what she'd done finally occurred to him. Staring in equal parts shame and horror, he slowly sank back down into the bed, pulling the covers over his head to hide his shame, seeming not even to notice as the girl tried to change the subject.

"I don't understand... why are you even here?! Why are you doing this? Why me?!" He whined. "I haven't even had my first kiss yet. Now my masculine dignity is ruined forever..." He glared at her from underneath the covers. "And it's all your fault, you sick, twisted, so-unbelievably-dense-you-make-amoeba-look-like-Einsteins maniac!"

"You use too many big words!" That was the only reply that could come from the girl who was just as confused as the boy. "Y-You... You took my innocence! I'm no longer a pure maiden!" She seemed to think that she was the one who had something taken from her today... One might think they'd have to invent a new word just to describe how dense this girl was. "Of course I'm mad! You just... your... thing just stole away my cleanliness!" Her entire being seemed to be red with embarassment as she turned around and hid her face in her hands. "How are you even going to take responsibility for this, anyway? What if I have a baby now? Oh god, you've ruined my life!" It sounded like she could have been sobbing...

"All I wanted was to just leave here and go back to my daddy! I don't want to be here and I just wanna go back home! But then you came along and... and.. soiled me!" She dropped to her knees and shook her head into the hands that held it. "Oh god, I'm ruined, I'm ruined. Soiled. By a complete stranger, no less!"

This went on for a moment before the sobbing stopped and her figure just went still. Releasing a sigh, she stood back up and ripped the covers off of the boy. "You did this, so take responsibility!" She crumbled up the blankets into a big ball and tossed them against the opposite wall, watching it unfurl and rest in a big mess. She herself sat down upon it and pointed at the door with angry eyebrows practically pushed down to her eyes. "Get me out of here and I'll forgive you! It's the only way!" On top of dense, adding "stubborn" to her list of expansive descriptors seemed fair. She seemed rather adamant on getting out of this facility and knowing that he worked for it was good news. He had a decent understanding of how things worked, unlike her. If she was left to her own devices, she'd end up wandering through a labyrinth of halls and doors only to be captured. And possibly punished with further tune-downs. She really didn't want that. Becoming the superheroine she wanted to be was already going to be difficult with how limited her body was. She couldn't truly risk much more. So relying on him and his knowledge seemed to be the only way.

"Take... responsibility? Me? For what? Unless..."

"That's not even how you have babies!" Howled the irate youth, burying his face in the bed in the closest approximation he could of the headdesk that inane complaint so desperately deserved. However, much to his frustration, the girl didn't seem to be listening, instead going on at length about how he'd ruined her life, how all she'd ever wanted was to escape and go back to her father, and how-

Wait... she WHAT?! But... but they said...

She was supposed to be... you mean she wasn't... like me?!

And I... I...

They... they tricked me! They tricked me and made me-

"Oh god, I'm ruined, I'm ruined. Soiled. By a complete stranger, no less!" The girl sobbed, apparently heartbroken. The bedsheets Myrion had wrapped around himself fell away from him as his grip went limp, his eyes wide in shock as a horrified realization overtook him. Memories flashed through his mind of a white room, of joyous excitement at the prospect of running his own experiment, of plans drawn up and materials requisitioned and procedures performed, new inventions created and connected and assembled and...

...And a girl with oddly colored blue hair, lying prone before him as machines - his machines - transformed her body from the inside out, improving it in every way he could think of, turning her into a testbed for living armor and weaponry.

Those bastards! They told me she was an artificial test subject, no different from me! And I, fool that I am, believed them! They lied, lied, lied! And... and I didn't even think to question it!

Abruptly casting an indignant glare in Myrion's direction, the girl pointed directly at him, placing blame where it was, perhaps, most justly due. Even if her reasons for accusing him were all wrong, even if she didn't seem to know what he had done to her, she had every right to sling guilt and shame upon him. And so, even as she did, he merely lowered his head in silent guilt, any and all objections he himself might have raised dying before they left his throat. "You did this, so take responsibility!" She commanded. Myrion, try though he might to act mature, was still a child. As such, coping with the guilt of having single-handedly ruined someone's life was far more than he could really bear to contemplate. It was hard enough not to cry. It was even harder not to confess his guilt on the spot and plead for forgiveness. But still, he hesitated, realizing that, given her impulsive demeanor and willingness to break out of her cell, she'd probably have no hesitation in killing him if she found out he was responsible for her current misfortune. As such, he had to keep it secret. He had to keep a straight face, and say nor reveal nothing. He'd even play along with her ridiculous illogic, if it meant concealing his true guilt.

Myrion, you pathetic, festering cur! This is all your fault. You did this to her! She was just a normal girl, and you turned her into... into this!

"Get me out of here and I'll forgive you! It's the only way!"

Myrion gave a quiet hiss of annoyance. He had been perfectly happy with his work, and was loathe to cause even more unrest within the foundation that had created and housed him, and had, if unintentionally, given him the abilities he now cherished. He also had little will to go against his father. But, at the same time, if this was the true magnitude of his guilt, then...

"Tch. Fine, I guess if it has to be this way, I'll help you out. The outside world may contain interesting research subjects of its own, I suppose. So... there, are you happy? Will you stop freaking out now?"

Location 6th floor Security, Locker room.

A large room filled with several rows of steel blue lockers bolted to the pearl white tile floor. The emblem of the organization is painted on the wall in the center over looking the whole area. The locker room is all but vacant, but there is still one person left in the vicinity. Already in his security uniform, Domingo is walking past each aisle constantly looking up at the last couple of numbers of the end lockers, and glancing down at a piece of paper with a name and number written down on it.

"R362 - Ramirez"

Along with that piece of paper Domingo is also caring a black plastic bag that crinkles and clangs with every movement. "R362, R362." Domingo repeated to himself as he combs through locker aisle. Stopping at the right locker, "Here we go." Dropping the black bag on to the tile floor a can of shaving cream rolls out of the bag. Picking up the can, Domingo aims the nozzle of the spray can before pressing down. Shaving cream forms in large billowy clumps before messily plopping into Ramirez's locker. One by one he empties the cans as minutes tick away on his watch. While of course occasionally looking out the aisle checking if someone enters the room.

"Alright that should be enough for the newbie." He mumbles to himself with a hint of glee. Domingo places the last used can back in the black bag. After wiping away any evidence that spills on to the locker door, he starts to make his way out of the locker room. Only to then stop at a trash can to get rid of the hazing evidence. Looking back at his handiwork, he gives a slight nod. Turning, he walks through the wooden double doors, he grabs his radio on the way out. A voice on the other end repeatedly squelching in an attempt to get his attention. "This is Domingo. Yeah, I'm just finishing up with my break, I am heading back down to my post."

Just then the entire room and hallway goes dark. After a few long bated seconds, blinding red lights assault his eyes. It was the emergency backup lights. The radio squelches again. "Hey get your ass down here! We are gonna need some more back up! No one goes anywhere alone! If you can team up, do it!"

The sound of heavy boots stomp down with equally heavy plodding on the hallway floor. He walked passed each room without so much as a glance in. There wasn't much of a need to with him. Ramirez could tell who was where and knew whether or not they were supposed to be where they were since he would hear a, "Hey Bart", "Ey", or some other sound resembling a greeting of some sort that didn't necessarily require any vocalizations. When things got sketchy, he could resolve most of them on his own. It wasn't the same with him as it was with many of the other average Joe s. He didn't have to grab a taser or tranquilizer gun. His defensive weapon was his empathy that he shared with the subjects. Granted, it didn't always win them over to happily accept a needle again just because he happened to know how they felt. However it did prove useful enough to stall them until backup arrived. This didn't make the job easier for him. More over it made him remind himself as to why he did it. At least the majority of the ones in most of the levels, both subject and normal, developed a preference to seeing or dealing with him.

As depressing as it all still seemed to be, he would laugh it off or play it down. It wasn't everyday that someone like him would upgrade from a cell to a comfortable bed and a steady paycheck. So it was rather common for him to hear another guard, doctor or subject inquire with similar questions. Yet sometimes still, he would have to ask himself some of the same questions. How did he end up where he is now? How does he feel about it? How long will this last? Something was bound to change. Inevitably he would find ways to answer theirs but put off his own answers. For some reason thinking about it just made him all the more tired by the end of his shift. Which was happening right now. Making him rub his eyes and yawn while he waited for the elevator up.

One of the few rules that were still instated over him was that he wasn't allowed topside. Well it wasn't completely out of the question. Just that it would require the proper approved attire. He couldn't go alone and would need to be accompanied. Not to mention the implications with his family.

For the moment. He was more interested in heading up to the upper floors to his room. But before that, he was curious about whether one of his co-workers snuck in a couple of beers like he said he would. Or at least hinted out. Bart couldn't be too sure. What he was sure of was that if he couldn't leave this place, he certainly couldn't go to a bar. And there are rules about alcohol on the premises. The elevator doors close behind him. He pushes the desired button and waits for the lift to jitter to life before slowly bringing him to his next destination. That is until the elevator goes pitch black as it abruptly stops short of its goal. He shifts his stance and looks about the blindingly dark elevator, half expecting for the lights to go back on. That is until a couple of minutes agonizingly tick by. "Ahhhhhhhuuuuuuugh-fine. I get it. It would have been nice if this was after-actually never mind, I need the over time....do they even give overtime?" He carries on with himself before finally taking out his smaller clip light to adhere to one of his breast pockets and digs his hardened nails into the seams of the door.

Just as he begins to make some progress with inching open the door he hears his radio jar his ears with a flurry of messages from other guards. Turns out he wasn't the only one running into a bit of trouble. He waits for as long as he can to find a pause in the chatter. Once he sees that there is no end in sight he finally and hesitantly butts in his own message to the disjointed conversations. "Not to add to our to do list but, uhhhhh, can someone around floor 6 or 7 come help me with the elevator doors? Kinda stuck between floors I think and I'd prefer to not be cut in half if I try doing this alone."

With the  confusing  cacophony of both the panicking radio chatter, and the flashing red lights of the emergency backup power coming online.  The whole situation felt sudden.  Just moments ago Domingo was spraying cans of cheap shaving cream into someone's locker.  Now it's sounds like the facility is being torn from the inside out.  Domingo frantically reaches into his pocket before pulling out a pair ear bud  headphones.  Singling out the right ear bud he stretches the cord and uses his teeth to sever the selected cord.  Plugging in the ear buds into the headphone jack of his radio.  Domingo can focus in on all the chatter that is now crowding the frequency.  All in the while keeping one ear open so he can listen for anyone or anything that may be coming his direction.

"Sh@*" Domingo said quietly so his own voice wouldn't drown out the incoming messages being feed to his left ear.  As he listen in to all the income and outgoing chatter.  It became very clear that the lower levels have gone completely out of control.  Domingo remembered that there have been instance where a large number of guards were called in to reinforce the lower levels due to accidental containment breaches.  Something in his gut tells him that this wasn't another random breach.  "This was plan."  Domingo muttered to himself as he realizes what may be in store for him when he goes down to the lower levels.  Domingo takes a deep breath, lowers his head, and starts to silently chant, "Not today" three times before rising his head with a gleam of determination in his green eyes.  He looks at his current equipment.  One flashlight, one baton, one tranquilizer pistol with 2 pistol magazine of darts 15 in total including loaded tranq gun, and one high voltage tazer.  His current assortment of defensive tools was fine against low risk threats but considering what is being held in the lower levels.  Domingo is horribly under prepared for whats going on below.  As thoughts of himself being mutated beginning to creep into his head. A single message stood out from the all the other frantic calls for help. A fellow officer was trap in the elevator near Domingo's location.  The voice was male and judging by the tone, he was young and bit of a green-horn.  Still it was mentioned earlier to not be alone. Domingo grabbed his radio to message back to the trap security personal.  "This is Domingo, I'm closest to the trapped  S.O. near floor 6. Once he out we'll make our way down." Still with the radio in his hand.  Domingo hurries to the nearest elevator.

Moving closer to the elevator door.  A small opening indicated that Domingo was going to the correct elevator.  Using the small inch wide opening Domingo grabbed his baton, and wedge it in between the elevator doors and began to pry it open.  "I gotcha I gotcha." Domingo said as the doors finally open.  Looking down into the elevator carriage he saw A stocky officer looking back up at him.  Domingo put back his baton and greeted the man.  "Name is Domingo and I suggest you use the emergency exit." He motions with his thumb going up.

Zeke had set up a ladder and was checking if he could somehow pierce his way through the floor, fruitlessly mind you as he finds steel reinforcement. He grumbles and pecks on it some as if there was any point in it that was not solid steel. This is the longest he's ever had an escape go so the thought of how this can horribly go wrong goes through his mind and that maybe... it would be better if he gave up.

"As if I'd do that." He says, thinking out loud. He rolls his eyes and scratches his chin, considering the option of burning his way through... until he heard a voice addressing him giving him a bit of a shock. "Y-yes! Erm... yeah. Seems Aberration 65 has damaged some of the elevator functions and... hey, you are not staff."

He gets a look at them, the guy isn't a security officer or a doctor, that is for certain, so he must be a subject of some sort. Maybe he's supposed to be out, doesn't look all that dangerous and kinda normal for the most part... but then again, looks are deceiving around here. Another idea rushes into his mind, if he shows an ability to take charge of the situation without breaking everything then maybe he will be an official security... and not end up in the coat and box again.

"That could work, right!?" He says to himself, before realizing he was thinking out loud. "I mean, sure, help me out and I'll put in a good word for you. What can you do to help, anyways?"

Near instantly, she calmed down and wiped away the tears in her eyes, sniffling out the last of her cries. "Y-You'll really help? Thanks so much." Wiping the last of her tears now onto the cuff of her glove, she took a deep breath and collected her normally-jubilant self. "Well, since I'm not going to have your baby and I'm back in top condition, let's get out of here! I've got big plans and goals once I'm free. I hope you won't get in the way of those either!" She adjusted the gloves and re-tied her rose-red scarf around her neck before stretching onto her toes and cracking her knuckles. "I'll take care of the heavy work, so you just tell me where to go, got it?" Even in a situation like this, she was ready to take charge. As if to emphasize this, she flexed a (non-existent) muscle. "And for whatever it's worth, even if you're a boy, I think you look pretty. Your hair is really nice." She smiled big before casually walking right over to his door.

"HYAAA!" She cried as she whipped her foot around in a roundhouse kick that knocked the door off its hinges, stopping only to slam into the wall opposite the hall. "Kekeke.... Alright. Let's go, Blondie! I gots me a daddy to get back to." The blue-haired monster of a young woman had set the scene for escape. "Mark my words, foul doctor people!" She looked straight into the nearest security camera, pointing directly at it to emphasize she was talking right to them. "I'm getting out of here! And I'll expose everything you're doing here, or I'm not Nina West, The great heroine of justice to this world!" Grabbing the blonde boy by the wrist, she began laughing and running off in any old direction. She felt truly invincible, with this guy here to guide her to freedom. From there, it was all on her.

Myrion Testarossa

"What have I gotten myself into...?"

Myrion raised an eyebrow, watching as the girl's whole mood changed in a matter of seconds. Had she just been faking being devastated by her own actions to coerce him into helping? He frowned irritably, his pride seething at the possibility he'd been so easily manipulated. He, Myrion Testarossa, should have dictated his own path based solely on what he himself thought needed to be done. ...But, he supposed, since she still didn't seem to know who he was - considering he was still alive - that meant she wouldn't have known how to guilt him into aiding her in the first place. So, his choice to assist her to make up for his own actions was no less valid.

Even so, this girl's jubilant attitude seemed like it would be very hard to deal with. Myrion rubbed the bridge of his nose, trying his best to ignore the fact that she was still calling him pretty. Boys weren't supposed to be "pretty!" She could have called him dashing, or handsome, or ANY other adjective! ...Well, any other adjective except cute. That would have been worse. But still! He was a man! He wasn't going to stand for-

His attempts to protest were interrupted by a loud bang as she casually disassembled his door and sent it flying into the far wall. Had she forgotten that guards were still in the area? Apparently so, since she then started loudly boasting to the nearest security camera about how she was going to make them all look like idiots and escape. Myrion groaned, slapping his forehead before snatching up his distinctive coat and draping it over his shoulders. Fortunately, he was always prepared for an emergency, and had plenty of backup gadgets in the various pockets of this garment. With these marvelous machines, he could-

"Waugh!" His plans to salvage the situation were interrupted by the blue haired maniac grabbing him by the wrist and bodily hauling him after her as she took off in a random direction. Myrion wasn't an outdoorsy type. Hell, he'd never even BEEN outdoors except for one time he'd also been out of space and time. As such, he wasn't really capable of keeping up with a cybernetically enhanced ball of energy like Nina. He ended up stumbling after her, almost immediately dragged near completely off his feet, his knees knocking against the floor several times as he only nearly avoided faceplanting into a nearby wall when Nina made an unexpected turn. "Ow! Let go of me! Slow down! Do something before you break my legs off! No, don't turn right you fool, go LEFT! Augh, what did I do to deserve this?!"

"Yup, I'm not the staff. An experiment, just like most of the people here." Arcee smiled lightly at the guard, no trace of bitterness in his voice or face. "Name's Arcee Cree, and I lost my way to my room." He didn't really need a good word considering that he was going to die within the facility sooner or later, but it couldn't hurt, right? It was pretty much home already, since they'd never be able to leave the place. Arcee glanced at the guard, taking in his attire for the first time. "I'll help you if you get me back there, ok?"

From what he could see, the hair the guard had stuffed in his cap had a blue tint to them, as well as his eyes. The guard uniform didn't really seem to fit him properly, but then again, maybe it was because he had lost or gained weight recently? The guard also wasn't carrying any weapons, too, and Arcee knew that guards would have obeyed the speakers instructions, since it was part of their job. At the very least, a guard would've been looking for weapons to attack or protect himself with, right?

Hmm, that guy's suspicious... maybe he isn't actually a guard, haha. Laughingly, Arcee dismissed the thought from his mind. Nah, what're the odds of that? Impossible.

Although several experiments had escaped just now, according to the announcement...

Nah, the guard was probably new or something. And he was young (was he really old enough to be a guard?) enough to not want to die a death via experiment. His smile covering what he was thinking, Arcee continued, ticking each item off the list as he went.

"Lets see, I can sing, change my voice to match others, adjust my hearing, hold my breath for ten minutes and break glass using nothing but my voice and maybe a tuning fork. Also I can play a lot of instruments, amongst other things." He beamed at the guard, face friendly and helpful. "Anything in there that fits what you need? If not, I could help you look for another guard."

To hear that someone wasn't currently racing to get the facility up and running, but instead was coming to his aid was a bit of a relief. It wasn't like he was worried that he was going to be left stranded on his own in the elevator after establishing good rapport with them. The more help they could get the better. Right? The thing was. He didn't really recognize the voice coming from this particular individual and he now spends his time not only working at opening the doors but trying to put a face to the voice. Neither of which he could get himself to achieve for some reason. Was there really someone on the payroll that he didn't know? He had been adamant about getting to know everyone, as it became his objective to recognize rogue experiments from guards. It occurred to him when he realized that quite a few of his co-workers didn't bother to get familiar with each other. To figure out whether that guard or doctor walking by was just going about their route or looking for a way to escape. They more often than not, didn't seem to bother with much more than a glance.

Heavy footsteps instantly let him know that not only was something coming. That they were also a guard with the weight of those boots hitting the floor. He immediately jumped back and caught himself before he fell on his ass against the elevator floor when a baton was abruptly wedged through the opening that he had just made. "Aye! Watch where you put that thing! Not even a drink or a date first." Looking back up he would see his fellow guard, Domingo staring down at him. "You might want to be careful. Power comes back on and you'll be lucky if you make it out with half a brain leftover." He looks up at the hatch and makes a noise uncannily similar to one of recognition of a previously lost memory. Reaching the hatch itself would have been impossible if it were not for the mandatory hand bars that were required to be installed in all half decent elevators. Better yet the top half of the bars were flat, allowing him to get a better footing while he attempted to push up on the hatch.

He wasn't concerned about the lack of strength to move the hatch. It was the size of the hatch and whether he would fit through that concerned him. He had to wiggle himself up through the opening and have to clear enough of his body in order to sit himself down on top of the dusty elevator. Somehow bits of trash managed to find its way onto the top as well. Papers, fast food drink containers containing the remnants of long evaporated and de-carbonated sludge still coating the inside of it. "Ramirez." He would finally speak out once he could see that the exit was in front of him. For a moment he stopped and looked up into the pitch black elevator shaft. Uncertain if he had heard something or if it was just him making the noise and it was echoing through the shaft.

Shaking himself slightly, he brushes himself off and heads towards the exit, through the outer elevator doors. That is when the lights flicker and the elevator begins to move. At the same time the doors begin to close. Not wanting to be trapped on top of the elevator as well he tries to slide himself sideways through the doors. Just as they close on him, the hiccup in power went back to the previous blackout, and the elevator stops moving. Effectively pinning him vertically between the doors. "Aaaaaahhh-little help here. Maybe." At the same time his hands are already trying to wedge against one of the doors to push it back open and re-free himself.

Zeke perks up upon hearing that he can sound like other people. The gears turn in his head, and leans in to Arcee with a grin and slowly backs away. He leans up against the keypad, with card in hand.

"You don't say, those are some pretty interesting talents you have there." He steps away from it, and points at it. "Oh hey, very convenient too, considering that since the lockdown vocal recognition has been activated. Think you can fool it?"

He holds the card out for Arcee to see, particularly the person's face printed on it. He scratches the back of his head nervously, trying to put on his best show possible and holding back his urges to wreck the place like a raving lunatic. Afterall, that is plan B, plan A results in a lesser likelihood to end back in his cell with a massive headache.

"Hulson mixed his key up with mine and now we are both in a mess." He says, trying his best not to break in his tone. "And hey, you helping me officially deputizes you, I mean, that is how that Genesis subject, the other one that shapeshifts, the one that turns into other people, ended up in security... as damn creepy as that is."

He begins to hear something else going on from the open elevator door. Yelling, somebody in one of the elevators seems stuck and something else, he could hear metal scratching and groaning as something seems to be making its way up the hard way. It progressing at a pretty decent pace, banging against each door trying to find one it can get through. It stops its search, it knows it has clearly two options now. Zeke slowly looks over seeing streams of a greenish glow in the deep dark abyss.

"Damn it, damn it, damn it!" His conscience at this point starts to nag him, and on the opposite side his instincts of self-preservation putting him in a psychological tug-of-war. He takes the keycard and throws it to Arcee in hopes he'll know what to do and leans out getting his footing on the top of the elevator and looking out to see the adjacent elevator. "Hey, you! Better hurry it up because one of the nastier freaks is coming on fast!

Thinking that he might have been a bit over zealous when trying to pry the elevator doors open, but it did get the job done.  Domingo would occasionally glance between the elevator cart and the dark red hallway.  The increasing number of panic radio messages is starting to creep under his skin. Looking back into the elevator cart he notice that the trapped guard is having some trouble getting through the emergency hatch.  Domingo didn't notice the guards size at first glance, due to the low dark light.  He was surprise to actually see this guy squeeze through a seemingly small hole.  Once again Domingo looks down the hall making sure that nothing is trying sneak up from behind.  Concentrating between the radio chatter, and the shadows creating hallucinations.  What took him away from his vigilant watch?  Was the guard saying his name, "Ramirez."

"Are you serious?"  Domingo saying to himself under his breath.  Out of all the employees that can be trapped, it had to be the one that got hazed.  He thought to himself as the irony began to sink in.  Domingo wouldn't have ever guess he would come face to face with this guy.  The work environment is so busy  and departmental.  It's rare to see the "Egg heads" talk with anyone not in a lab jacket unless it's absolutely necessary.  Even between the Security staff there is a clique mentality.  Still Domingo's task at the moment is to get Ramirez out and race down to the lower floors to support the "elites."  He steps closer to the door to assist  Ramirez as he  appears to be ready to jump across.  Ignoring the Code Yellow radio messages Domingo watches as Ramirez attempts the seemingly easy jump.  Both Domingo and Ramirez shared a befuddled look as the building's main power briefly comes back on line, to catch Ramirez in the elevator doors. Within an instance the power reverts to the back up emergency generator.  "That seriously just happen."  Domingo said in disbelief to what just occurred in front of his eyes.  He blinks a couple of time before he goes to Ramirez 's aid.  Worried that the some  engineer might get the power back while his coworker is still stuck.  "Might as well get all your bad luck out the way huh." Domingo said pulling out his baton once more.  Trying to pry the doors open once again.  He could hear a faint echo coming up from the bottom of the elevator shaft.  It's was difficult to make out but it sounded like a warning.  That something nasty is trying to make its way up to the higher levels.  Before Domingo can answer back down the bleak dark shaft.  The elevator doors open up letting Ramirez stumble free and closing immediately after.  Domingo looks over to his new partner finally noticing that Ramirez is really no ordinary guard.  "Arn't you supposed to be a subject?"

"nngh" Lily stirred slightly and cringed with an intense dizziness drifting over her in waves. a side effect of the ludicrous amount of medication required in a constant supply to render her unconscious for any more then five minutes. realizing she must have been drugged for quite a while for it to be this bad she decided to do something rather then wait for the dizziness to subside which at this rate may take a half hour or more.

"stupid doctors, they have this facility why couldn't they invest in more gentle anesthetics?"she tried sitting up, but found she couldn't even move.something must have been holding her down. Opening her eyes didn't yield any information, the place was pitch dark,at least until she concentrated and manipulated her eyes slightly to switch over to thermal vision, acompanied by a momentary dull ache from her optical nerves she looked around and spied various medical equipment. That's right! i was scheduled for another experiment! no wonder i cant move the doc must've had me secured in restraints in case i woke up.fudge that means I'm stuck here until either someone comes and lets me out or these accursed tranquilizers wear off and i can feel my arms.

now becoming more aware she notices muffled screaming from behind a door to one of the adjacent operating rooms and some squelching noises. the screaming quickly escalates, then abruptly stops followed by a dull thud."what the heck is going on in there?" she then notices her rabbit doll over on a counter across the room."what in the world are you doing over there?"at this point the dizziness starts to fade and feeling returns to her arms.focusing again she grits her teeth a bit as her fingers morph into small blades and the straps on them snap. she then curves them at her wrist and saws at the straps there, then slowly works her way up her arms, forming new joints in her arms as needed. she then frees her legs and plants her feet and elbows then pushes sharply against the operating table releasing herself with several audible snapping sounds in quick succession.

Lily sits up,a bit too fast and promptly flops over the edge amidst another dizzy spell with a quiet squeak as she meets the floor.she pulls herself up on the table and toddles over to her rabbit plush doll on shaky, slightly numb legs and reaches up plucking it off the counter then looks around."where the heck are all the doctors? I would have thought they would at least assign a nurse to watch me until i woke up and why are the lights o-"something busting the door from earlier down cuts off anything she may have said and she quickly responds by quietly jumping up and forming a static bond between her hands and feet, and the ceiling . holding her plush in her teeth.she observes a reptilian humanoid flicking its tongue at the air and looking around the room it had green thorny scales and was currently walking in a bipedal stance,it had eyes that were yellow and slit like those of a snake, a narrow tail ending in two barbs on either side , it had a head with resemblance to an alligator lizard yet different in the fact that it had more then one row of teeth and they were curved back and had a long double curved horn on the tip of its snout. it continued to flick its tongue occasionally, she crept passed whilst sticking to the ceiling, hoping for all she was worth that it wouldn't look up and through the door behind it.

upon entering the next room she let out a terrified gasp at what she saw. corpses everywhere some most of them mutilated beyond recognition there was blood smeared on the walls AND the ceiling there were limbs and entrails strewn all about, apparently this thing was killing for sport. it was then that she remembered she wasn't alone.turning her head slowly she was met with the face of the thing being right in hers and it flicked its tongue out dabbing it on her left cheek, then pulled it back in and hissed at her.she turned away....and promptly ran, shooting off in a streak of white hair with the reptile right behind her until she reached the elevator door

which was already open to the elevator shaft.she jumped in and started climbing the service ladder the beast digging its claws into the side and pounded up after her leaving holes in the side of the shaft."GO AWAY!" she shouted which was completely ignored by the beast .at this point Lucy took over, and she began to lose ground.then, just as the beast nearly caught her she let go of the ladder and plunged passed what she assumed to be some sort of lizard-man into the darkness, and focused.

her arms and legs began to change her arms becoming long and thin, then gaining bony protrusions which quickly grew in length and began to grow webbing in between them until she had something reminiscent of bat wings her legs shortened and grew webbing between them too and her body flattened out a bit.with the last of the changes complete she opened her eyes and turned up beginning a rapid ascent and passed up the lizard thing at between floors 10 and 9 then turned back again, shifting her legs to become longer again and adding tight packed muscle she folded her wings back and dove toward the creature then quickly flipped herself upright and delivered a forceful kick to the things face, stunning it and making it release its hold on the wall and plummet to the bottom of the shaft with a deafening crash with a light beat of her wings she went to the elevator door for floor 9 and gripped the ledge with her feet, then reverted her arms to their normal state and pried the doors open with a metal screech followed by a very loud bang as the doors hit the stoppers with great force causing the walls to rumble a bit.
then stepped in and flopped onto the floor to catch her breath."Lord i hope that thing doesn't get up after that fall or its going to be a pain in the butt to actually kill." she said opening her mouth and dropping the rabbit doll on her lap and giving control back to Lily who then got up and made it a total of twelve steps before collapsing limp as a boiled pasta noodle passed out from over exertion without a warm up with all features returning to normal under her now tattered hospital issue gown she fell back with a thud near the stairwell.

Skitters continues moving forward under the cardboard box, obstructed vision has left her unaware of Alver making a sudden made stop and had turned around in her direction. She inevitably bumps into him. The mutated creature lets loose an audible grunt and then grumbles about the error made then cups her mouth. It is still dark, there's no chance that the cover has been blown, in his mind it could just be some vermin trapped under a box and he'll ignore it, right?

All this point, all it required was to be patient, take it calmly, and remain still and she could remain undercover. But this incarnation of Bas'met was none of these things, but rather... incredibly impulsive and impatient. It felt like decades to wait for mere minutes, and it was just too much. She lifts the box up and stares up at Alver and quietly waves her upper right claw, hoping seriously that the boy doesn't decide to punt her like a football.

Skitters holds up a clawed finger telling Alver to hold on for a minute, then fumbles with the device around their neck, it crackled a bit as the speaker comes to life. "Testing, 1, 2, oh! There it goes..." A voice emitted from the device, it was the voice of Bas'met herself, and clearly this was some form of two-way radio. This didn't stop Skitters from pantomiming ever word, though. "First off, I have so many sets of eyes so... so I've been watching you and many others." She says this casually, but Skitters exaggerates every motion cartoonishly. "Secondly, what? No. Skitters is just a scatterbrain who acts on her own at times... a lot of the time." Skitters folds her arms at the scatterbrain comment and grunts.

"Thirdly, I know we've had poor first impressions but we aren't entirely different, and to something you said earlier... I've only ever killed once." She says, Skitters pointing to herself to leave no ambiguity on the victim. "And I do feel pain, as well as everything else to a degree... and... with every body I reanimate I get a taste of their final living moments, so... yeah."

"Well. what was I suppose to think?" Alver shot back, folding his arms. He remembered to keep his voice down - no way did he want the sound to echo and alert them to the guards. "You reanimate people. I saw you reanimating people, and do you know what the other subjects say about yo- wait." He wrinkled his nose, baffled. "Only one? But - what about the blood and gore and all those dead animated bodies -" Realisation hit, and Alver eye's widened. "Oh." he said, voice small, suddenly unable to look at the raccoon.

Those had been dreams. Dreams which he'd mixed up for reality, agh he was such an idiot. Flushing red with embarrassment, Alver forced himself to look at the raccoon - Skitters. "I-" he paused, then forced out the words like expelling too-hot liquid from his mouth, grimacing and shuffling his feet silently against the floor, the gesture making him look very fifteen year old. "I'msorry."

Alright, time to change the subject before anything else happened. "Lets just start over then, its not like we've met each other before till now." He offered hurriedly, scratching his head. Well, Alver hadn't met her. She'd sounded like she'd been spying on everyone long before the escape happened. That'd explain how the she'd found them so easily. A bit of sympathy (not much, but enough to be understanding) resounded in his voice as he said, "Didn't know about the reliving their deaths thing though, that sucks."

At least his power didn't involve feeling pain, just a sort of mental pressure. Well, it did kind of physically hurt when Alver used it too much though, in the form of nosebleeds and headaches.

"Well then." He looked at Skitters curiously, almost apologetically. "Didn't know you weren't possessed by her. That's pretty cool," he said, then got down to business. "But do you know the way out of here? I don't think we'd like to be stuck in this pit for too long," he said, glancing at Kajimera.

Kaij wasn't just taken back when Alver spotted her in the dim light. She was beside herself with the annoyance she felt towards the twerp. Her eyes narrow. If she was still too slow to remain out of his sight how was she going to fair against the more highly trained guards? It didn't help that the clothes she decided to wear weren't tailored to handle the particular events that ended up occurring today. However she wasn't about to strip down to her skivvies just to change that. That doesn't mean that there is nothing that she can do to improve her chances.

A grunt, or grunting drew her attention away from being tempted to backhand Alver again. Despite being partially (fully) responsible for his anger towards her. She squints at the raccoon-like creature who made rather poor attempts to remain quiet. It and Alver already appeared to be quite the pair by the way they began interacting with each other. "Helvete." She mumbled to herself. There was already one noisy, clumsy olf, did there need to be two? It wasn't until Alver pointed out that this thing had helped them out before that she took notice of its eyes. The same type of pupil formation. Another influenced being. And the voice that crackled from the speaker from around its neck. With the two distracted, she remained focused more on what was around them. Listening to their conversation was important. Although there was something even more pertinent in her mind.

"För långsam." She whispered in a strained voice. Her toes twitch and splay; gripping at the ground. The pressure within her legs increased like pins and needles. Kaij looked back up and away from herself with a disgusted look on her face. They were wasting too much time with their little conversation, and at least two out of three of them definitely didn't know their way around in here. This wasn't a good position that they were in. Alver seems to be so quick to trust as well. Then her eyes met with Alver's glance. "We're wasting time."

The moment Alver looks away from her again he feels a strong hand grasp at the collar of his shirt and his neck. A small gust of air followed by long soft hair brushes against his face. Skitters also finds themselves scruffed and quickly lifted from the ground and pulled forward. The distance between them and the door at the end of the hall rapidly shrinks while light trickles in from around the door frame. With a loud bang the door is kicked open to the new area. Her eyes squint trying to adjust from the poor lighting to the red emergency lights in the hallway but her momentum doesn't stop. "Buckle down. Shields up!" To the left Kaijmera lobs Alver down the corridor after the hard windup. And to the right, her other arm does its best to send the too many limbed garbage diver down the other way to hit any unpleasant guards down the way or simply slide across the floor. No point in asking them to scout ahead for the best route. This will do just fine according to her. So long as any guards they might attract were distracted, Kaij would take care of the rest...

Domingo watched the freed Bart ramble on about nonsensical issues that seem to trouble the former patient.    During his rant Domingo remembered a rumor about a few obedient patients becoming part of the Security staff he must be one of them.  Now that Domingo can see Bart relatively more clearly.  He now recalls see this large security guard from time to time.  Never though he would be station up in the higher floors.  Considering he mentioned possessing an ability to either shoot quill needles laced with some kind of natural tranquilizer, or he just frills up like a big porcupine.  However one thing is for certain, Bart doesn't shut up.  Domingo begins to contemplating if it was a stroke of bad luck to be paired by fate to such a noisy partner.  Regradless Bart maybe that slight edge Domingo needs when facing the situation that is taking place below.

Domingo is standing and waiting with his arms crossed for Bart to finish ranting.  He hopes that his new partners venting his fustrations will clear his mind and help him focus on the task at hand.  Thankfully Bart did manage to wrap his head around the situation, asking about properly arming ourselves.  "You caught  on quick.  Alright we need to go to Armory on the lower floor to get some suitable weapons and ammunition."  Domingo starts to walk towards the stairs, he motions his hand signaling Bart to follow him.  "Hopefully considering the circumstances the gentleman running the gun locker doesn't give us any guff about taking more than is needed.  Do you follow?  Bart."

The raccoon did not exactly desire to become a hairy bowling ball, but Kaijmera didn't leave her many options. Flying through the air and protected from injury only by Alver's shields she instead hit the ground with a roll until she comes into impact with a wall. She then lays on her back with her feet up in the air, her tail flopped down over her face. The hallway was spinning before her, and by extension, Bas'met's vision through her eyes.

The voice of Bas'met casually pops through the collar communicator. "Well that was... unexpected." Skitters twitches trying to regain equilibrium. She eventually rolls back to her feet and regains some balance. She watches as Alver checks the pulses of the guards he had flung into. She tilts her head and follows shortly after as he goes towards Kaijmera and begins to scold her for tossing him. She lowers her head and reaches out tugging at Alver's leg.

"Do you plan to treat all obstacles in life so tenderheartedly?" Bas'met asks Alver, a legitimately curious tone to her voice. Skitters looks up with fully dilated eyes, the 8 shaped pupils, a deep black abyss can be seen in it. "Just, what does it mean to you to have power?"

A black claw covered in sickly red glowing markings emerges from the broken elevator. From it flows what appears to be a hazey mist, like it were a creature of the shadows itself. A pair of orange glowing eyes stares out at Bart and Domingo, a blank expression in them. It grips the side of the elevator door and pushes it open, the metal being etched away by whatever this thing is made of.

"L..ght..? W..r..?" It cracks in an ethereal voice. It continues to advance towards them. "Wh.r..?!" Its voice escalating into desperation.
