"South would be the Shadow Forest," said Dr. Y, thinking this through. "But there are several continents to the east, so who knows where that person went."
"If Qwark is alone as the big man suggests," pointed out Ramses. "Then he would have gone east."
"Shadow Forest is a closer and clearer destination," said Dr. Y. "And I trust you as far as I can throw you."
"You'll get paid in full when the job is done," said Dr. Y. "Now come on. We've got to catch up on our reading."
Dr. Y and Ramses head off for Yuyake and the Taiyomashi Temple.
Regardless, there are still some archeologists around here, digging around and trying to figure out what was up with that strange symbol from earlier, so she isn't alone, anyway.
"Perfect," said one member. "She's all yours, soldier, but first let's see what the pretty little crusader has to donate to our cause..."
The Gracchus collective members search through Sarina's pockets... and find the tracking chip almost immediately.
"The hell is this?" asked one member.
"Looks like a tracking chip," said another. "Shoddily made and placed in the most obvious place possible. Amateurs."
"Do we destroy it?" asked another Gracchus member.
"Nah," said the second. "If little miss Sunshine here's really been looking around Fantasma, they won't notice if she wanders around a bit more."
The member turns to Tsan.
"Take her back to HQ," said Gracchus. "We'll coordinate with Mockingbird and find out who had the bright idea to try and track us."
"Aye!" said the rest, each throwing a fist up into the air. And so, the Gracchus squadron left toward Edge Wilds...
"There are several places that could fit the bill of 'a mountain that fell from the sky'," explained Fatum. "So all of you are going to split up to find which one holds the Prognosticus. Colonel, you will take your squadron to Mt. Moon."
"Might I ask why?" asked Colonel. "After all, there was a bunch of hubbub around the place recently, and if the book was there, it might have been already discovered..."
"And you trust that humans are ever thorough in uncovering artifacts?" asked Fatum. "The place holds cosmic energy, which indicates that long ago, it may have been part of one of the twin moons. If it is in Fantasma now, it qualifies for having fallen from the sky. Now go."
It had taken him most of the previous day to actually GET to Mt. Moon. While he was easily the strongest of Fatum's lieutenants, he wasn't the fastest when it came to crossing over long distances, especially when he had to escort an entire squadron and do it discreetly.
