Introduction
The sun is low, getting ready to drop below the horizon. To your left is more sand, as to your right, but behind you is the world, with all its trees and delicious pigs. Its terror, its joy, its caves, and its treasures. You're going to need some shelter if you want to survive long enough to explore.
But soon you will learn you are not alone...
Not to break the forth wall, but this is the RP premise in a nutshell: There are dungeons, caves, epic mountains, waterfalls, lava, diamond mines, villages, and scary monsters. When all is dark, creatures will approach. You can be sure of this. You need shelter, food, and equipment. Who will teach you how to build, craft, mine, and explore successfully? You definitely can't survive off simple spelunking, can you?
Meet Aleskei Fletcher: An experienced survivalist. Show potential and he will make sure you not only survive, but strive. Prove to not be worth his time? Don't expect help next time a creeper approaches.
Of course Aleskei isn't the only person in this world other then yourself. There are few other people in the same predicimate: You don't know how you got here nor know what you are doing. There are also the people native to this land who's friendship will be necessary if you wish to learn all you can.
Character Skeleton:
1. Name
2. Age-Age has no mechanic in Minecraftia. As much as your character may complain about back pain or be unable to talk for a long period of time, they are liable to be just as good at fighting/jumping/swimming as someone else. Just be careful about your beard and fire.
3: Special skill/craft-Everyone has there own talents; some people are good at swimming, others are good at math. In Minecraftia, people tend to focus on other things: Architecture, swordplay, Bow craft, crafting... Et cetera. Whatever you specialize in, you are one of the best at doing it. (When the players eventually learn how to make swords, for example, one person would wind up making a very nice, stylized sword kept razor sharp that rarely broke, likely studded and embedded with rare stones or jewels. A torchbearer might make an extra-bright torch that can be hefted as a club)
4: Personality-What are your hopes/dreams/likes/dislikes/wants/fears
5: History-Can go in depth, though your character won't remember everything right away.
This is not Minecraft
Minecraft physics pretty much apply: Gravel and sand are effected by gravity whilst barely anything else is. Tools break and are easily made. Think of this as playing Minecraft, except your character is a real person without the physical limitations of needing to eat or sleep. (Of course to pass the time quickly/heal, these are still necessary)
Of course, there are other changes: More items/monsters. Dwarves exist, Ghasts are sometimes found outside of the Nether, and there are items like daggers or dynamite sticks.
The plot will be a lot of sandboxing with random run around and mining that encourages character development through roleplay. The "story" will eventually become evident, a wild adventure in which people will battle of evils of the Nether, quest for diamond, confront Herobrine, and maybe save the world...
Anyone who hasn't played minecraft is still welcome to join. I'll try to explain any nerd-jokes that revolve around Minecraft.
Oh, and of course there will be a Dwarf digging a hole ;)
(Aleskei Fletcher will be up as a character soon)

The Story So Far... Write a Post » as written by 2 authors
Setting
0.00 INK
Garrett was here, simply put, to build. Not for any specific reason of course; he was an architect, and building was what he did. The young man had built bases of all sizes and calibers all over Minecraftia, what was one more? This one would be the most impressive of all of them, complete with an observatory, fully stocked library and top-security equipment vault. Garrett had no idea what he would do with those kinds of facilities, but he was sure they just had to go in. Well, better get started.
---
"Phew!" Garrett sighed as he sat back and looked at his handiwork. It wasn't much, just a small stone shack to provide a little shelter while he completed his base. Its single room contained everything he would need, namely a bed, a furnace, and a crafting table. A small chest in the corner held all of his supplies, including his building materials. Glancing up at the sky, Garrett noted that it was a little past noon- time for lunch. After retrieving some roast pork and bread from his hut, Garrett sat down on the grass and began to eat. It was a beautiful day, and the breeze was delightful...
What was that? Garret looked around, alarmed. He thought he had seen something- something green. It was probably nothing, just a bit of rustling grass... right? Turning back to his food, the architect continued to eat, now slightly nervous. He finished as quickly as he could, and hurried back to his residence. As he approached, he noticed that the door was open. Had he left it like that? His heart beating wildly out of control, Garrett peered around the door frame, his worst fears being realized.
Sssssss......
BOOM!
Setting
0.00 INK
The boom didn't come; glucose-like liquid (namely: Creeper blood, as they were mostly plant...) stained one wall. The green cylinder of a monster had a face locked in mid-joy (from finally exploding) and mid-terror (as it barely had ample time to realize that its one shot was ruined by the man standing behind it)
"Sneaky little..." Dressed in green, period garb, a man held the Creeper's dead body in one hand, a glucose-covered dagger in the other. The spine was severed, killing the fuse that lead from the brain to the gunpowder in the center of its form.
"Oi! Oh, hello!"
The man took a step back and dropped the body.
Setting

"Oi! Oh, hello!"
Snapping out of his shocked trance, Garret lifted his head to look at the man. He was only a tad bit older than Garrett himself, and was clad almost entirely in green. Whether that was for camouflage or if it was a fashion statement Garret did not know. All he knew was that this man had killed the creeper that had invaded his home, and was therefore responsible for the mess. Garrett's face started to redden as he realized what had happened. There was creeper blood all over the room. It would take hours to clean! His creation, albeit a small one, was ruined, and this man was to blame. "Who are you," he asked quietly, his voice shaking silently with rage, "And what the hell are you doing in my HOUSE!?!"

2: Yes, females exist, both as NPCs and as a playable gender in this RP.
@Lightning I appreciate you trying to help Athena, but like I said, this is NOT minecraft.
@everyone: Thanks for your interest in my attempt at an RP :)
EDIT
@Sylent: As much as I appreciate your character concept (approved your creeper), I suggest running a "normal" character, too, just to stay up with the group. I don't want your entire part of the RP being "I EXPLODE!!!" *everyone dies*
@Everyone, again: There will be a posting order!!! Forgot to mention, sorry. It goes
Me
1st person to sub character
2nd person to sub character
et cetera
Alright?
Also, I added rules to the RP.
Re: [OOC] Herobrine Is Watching
Okay, with that being said, are there girls? Or will there be girls available to use for roleplay purposes? (Forgive my ignorance!)
Re: [OOC] Herobrine Is Watching
@Athena: That shouldn't really be a problem. It's a pretty easy game to pick up, so you should get along fine with the basics. If you need anything cleared up, just ask or check the minecraft wiki.

Re: [OOC] Herobrine Is Watching
@Lightning: Is that a recurring thing in Yogscast vids? I've seen comments like that passing around...
@Syn: I was watching Yogscast prior to finally stopping my lazyness and making this. Thanks.
@Maple: I don't have the mans of setting up a server, nor the means of being a consistent serverite. I've played on Minecraft RP servers before, and to be honest, they just don't do it for me. You have to be friends with the people, usually it helps if everyone has microphones, a decent computer, and lots of other things. This RP is supposed to add human-elements to Minecraft... Nothing on a multi-player sever stops people from spawning in/making full diamond everything and trolling the world... Good suggestion, though. Been there, did that, got bored, came back. 'Eh? :)
@everyone: Diggy diggy hole!
