Modern Earth

Elliot was trotting along side with his dragon Israel, panting. God, Did he hate this but it made the large beast happy. His hair was sticking to his forward, listening to the chirps and whistles of his dragon. Elliot was barely a mile out from home, which was a large dragon ranch, to put it simple. Similar to horse ranches. He was on a mission now to get home and sneak in, since there was a new family moving in with them which put him off a bit.
"Please have someone my age and not old people" he groaned, seeing the moving trucks leaving after finishing dropping things off.

Evan hated this. hated it. Dragons freaked him out, and now he was practically living with them. He sat on the porch, supporting his head with his hands. He could hear the cries of dragons every now and then, and he was practically laying in his own lap by the time they quieted down. It was kind of Dax's fault Evan disliked dragons so much. She tormented him back in his home town about them. He was probably more afraid of her than he was afraid of dragons...
Evan looked up to see if his parents were done talking with the homeowners, when he saw a tiny green dragon, about the size of a cat crawl up to him and sniff his leg. Evan moved his leg, a little freaked out, and this startled the creature, which resulted in his leg being stung by the ginat barbed tail of the dragon. He let out a sharp screech and held his shin.

" You have to be kidding me" He groaned, seeing one of the garden dragons sing the boy on the porch. Elliot waved his arms, Israel letting out a loud snarl scaring the dragon off.
"My my, you aren't no dragon rider are ya?" Elliot chuckled leaning down in front of him. He looked at his face, feeling something stir. 'mate' his dragon echoed in his mind. Nope. Not right now. The rider looked over at his dragon, who stood a good 6 feet tall measuring at the shoulder.
"Don't start making trouble, Israel"

"Yeah... no." Evan brought his leg to his chest while the other one stayed dangling from the porch. "I'm not a fan of it." He thought of Dax. The bitch. As he did so, he let out a sigh. "There's always that one person..." he grumbled. He looked at the tall dragon, standing by the boy, and his eyes widened slightly. that dragon was puny compared to the one Dax teased him with. At least it wasn't brutally freaking him out on purpose.

"Can you walk? We got medicine inside for the sting." He put a hand out giving a bit of a worried look. Israel was clicking and purring, letting her tail sway back and forth. She came close, breathing hot air in his face taking a whiff of his scent. Elliot let out a tsk, pulling on her horn to make her pull away.
"That is awefully rude! Don't be sniffing people" The rider scolded. She huffed unhappily, shaking her head.

Evan looked at the dragon, then back at the boy. "Uh.. I think I can walk." He awkwardly accepted the help, taking his hand and standing. His leg felt numb, and eventually he lost all feeling, losing his balance and falling backwards onto the porch. "Well..." His voice was shaky and awkward. "This is embarrassing... My name's Evan." He thought it was appropriate to give his name at the moment. He looked a little panicked when everything possessed. His leg was numb, and it was because of a dragon. It was solid, dragons are dangerous.
