Addy Landes's Story

Addy:
The boy scratched his neck. Hesitating to answer my question.
"You're are Rouge Camp" he said. All I could say was "oh". When I fled my pack because of the attack, I joined a little rogue "pack", but we split apart to hunt, because there weren't any animals, I wandered around for days before I blacked out and this boy brought me back to his, camp.
I'm not stupid, I know what the signs that I feel for him meant, but my wolf is exhausted and she's resting so I wasn't sure, mum usually told me about mates when I was little, I've always dreamed about a mate, even though it takes all your privacy and I love being alone and bossy. I'll keep quiet for now.
"Who are you?" I asked scooting forward so I sat in front-of-him , but careful to not show my scarred legs.

The girl moved closer to me and I was awestruck. Never in my entire life have I even been intimidated by a girl, but this one practically has me wrapped around her finger, and I don't even know my puppet mater's name. I gulped before replying-
"My name is Ethan."

I really wanted to confirm my thoughts so I stuck my hand out in-front-of him.
"I'm Addy." I said with a shy smile. I wanted to see if what mother said was real, that there would be sparks. By now my wolf woke up of excitement.

As he took my hand in his, the sparks flew everything making my wolf jump around in happiness. I blushed and looked at Ethan.
"Ethan, do y-you think we maybe are mates?" I asked embarrassed.

My hand was immediately covered in tiny sparks. It felt good, but it confused me at the same time. What is this?

I looked directly at Addy. Did I hear that right?
"What the hell is a mate?"

Addy:
I looked at him in confusion, his parents didn't tell him about mates? I looked down on my feet and started explaining.
"Well where do I start.." I said more to myself than to Ethan. "A mate is like a soulmate so someone you have to be with forever, the Moon Goddess matches a werewolf with anyone, or at least I think it's possible for anyone to have a soulmate but for werewolves it's a little, different." I said, he looked at me with clear confusion and interest in his eyes.
"When a male wolf finds his mate, his wolf will be excited and tell him to um, claim her.."I continued, but said the last bit quieter. The confusion was still there so I forced myself to continue. "Everything about your mate is perfect in your eyes, well it's supposed to anyways, their smell is a drug to you, and their touch gives sparks a rush through your body." I said my wolf was happy about us talking to Ethan about mates. I shifted a little on the bed. "But a wolf can, reject their mate, meaning they break the bond, that happens early, but when it does, your wolf goes against you, doesn't talk to you, sometimes you can't shift.." I said and my wolf's emotions changed quickly, she let out a whimper. "When someone's mate dies, they become depressed, some die, some start drinking and become violent, some move on, though it's hard with the bond after the mark." I said and looked him into the eyes again, blushing at his stare.

I sat quietly and watched as he made his decisions.
"He's not going to reject us is he?" asked my wolf, looking for hope.
"No no, it'll be, fine," I said trying to convince myself it was really going to be fine.
"I'm sorry that it came falling down on you, it's okay if you reject me, I'll understand, I mean I wouldn't want myself as a mate either and you know what? I'm gonna go outside, I need fresh air yeah?" I ranted while pulling on the blanket to wrap it around me and started going out of this, tent? I didn't notice, I was about to leave when I crashed into someone, his skin was cold and I bowed my head, sensing his power.
"I heard there was a new rogue in the camp." He said with a cold voice, I was afraid of vampires, I know my wolf hated it when I obeyed, I do too, I knew he's stronger than us so therefore I can't risk it.

When he let out a chuckle, I gained confidence and looked up at him.
"I-I was hunting and I was lost and hungry so I blacked out" I said lowly. But I heard a growl from someone, I looked over to see Ethan.

After she left I stood there for a moment, letting the entire mate thing sink in. Then I realized that if this was true, then I couldn't just let her walk out. I ran after her only to see that she hadn't gone far. She was talking with him. I growled.
"Get away from her," I shouted at him as I pulled her away by the waist. He laughed at my outburst.

I felt two arms around my waist pull me away from the man.
"Get away from her." the source shouted, I knew from the sparks that it was Ethan, the man laughed at his outburst but I rolled my eyes.
I turned around and looked up at Ethan with my hands around his neck now.
"It's okay" I said and gave him a little smile.

I faintly heard her tell me it was okay, but I was too busy watching Rodrick.
"You're not welcome here, Rodrick. Now leave before I make your presence known to the camp."
"More so than you just have with that little outburst? Actually, do I'd love to see dearest Jane again."
I growled again at the bastard, he has no right to be here and less right to talk to Addy or about Jane.
I faintly heard her tell me it was okay, but I was too busy watching Rodrick.

I cupped his jaw, stroking his cheek, like my dad once did, calming his wolf, making her wolf howl in excitement.
"You're alright" I said, I remember my mother telling me a story how dad once got jealous and attacked the guy who tried flirting with her and she did this to him to calm him, I used to stare at her in awe as she talked about mates, now it's my turn.
I rolled my eyes as the man "Roderick" left to see "Jane" I'm guessing it's the girl from before. I growled in annoyance looking back into Ethan's eyes, they were black, meaning his wolf is on the edge of taking control. I cupped his jaw, stroking his cheek, like my dad once did, calming his wolf, making her wolf howl in excitement.

"You are needed in the main tent," Jane continued. I glanced back at Addy, not wanting to leave her," Oh, don't worry, I'll take care of our little 'guest'."
I turned around to face her again and leaned in to whisper in her ear-
"I'll be right back."
Then I went to the tent, leaving my newly found mate with Jane.

Ethan left as I went back and sat on the bed, the thirst and hunger was killing me, but I was afraid to ask Jane.
"I miss Ethan" said my wolf sadly, I sighed and adjusted the covers.
"I do too" I said, Jane was staring at me with a little creepy smile.
"Who are you?" I asked. "Like what are you to the place, I feel your power"
