Skye shivered on her way to the capitol. It wasn't like she wasn't prepared but she didn't want this. Not as much as the other Career Tributes. She wrapped her arms around herself, wishing she was back home. She could still remember the tiny piece of paper that had her name on it getting pulled out and her name echoing around the square. She remembered her parents being so proud... why?

Looking around the train car Jetaret silently snuck in. Her black hair swinging like a curtain around her face as she swiveled her head back and forth. The reaping had gone by rather smoothly to her standards. After all she had to consider the fact that a stranger was now their female tribute. Pushing her glasses up onto the bridge of her nose she sighed. Putting her hair back up into its usually ponytail helped her think. Her parents had tried to say good bye, she remembered, but she had only left. She resented her parents for getting whipped that one day. Straightening out her dress she grabbed a chair and sat down. She hadn't even payed attention to the boy she would eventually have to kill. All she thought was of how many ways she could kill another in their sleep.

Sitting down in the train car as far away from the female tribute from his district as possible, Jareth sighed and pulled out the locket around his neck. Opening it, he stared lovingly at the photograph of his sister that was located inside. Remembering the desperate look on her face when his name was announced almost broke his heart. His parents, however, were thrilled that he was chosen. Before leaving, he promised his sister that he would come back to district 2 alive. Looking over at the female with him, he began to examine her for any signs of a weakness that he could use against her.

Serina silently boarded the train car that would bring her to the place she would either die at, or emerge from with the blood of 23 innocent souls on her hands. She quickly surveyed the train car. If she could just take the seat itself out of this train car, she could probably sell it illegally and have enough funds to feed her family for a year. She sunk in the seat, enviously caressing the material. She leaned back and sighed quietly. With so many different thoughts running through her head, it was going to be a long ride. She pushed any depressing thoughts of her family and her life back in District Eleven out of her head. While so many other tributes were probably planning out how they would kill others, Serina planned a bit differently. She brainstormed a list of potential landscapes the arena might be in, and tried to focus on how she could use the landscape in each one to her advantage. She grinned to herself-she had her plan. While everyone else slaughtered each other, she would lay in wait, stalking her prey, attacking when they reached their weakest points. "Bingo," she thought. With her plans set, she drifted off to sleep.

Kaylee walked silently into the train car, head bowed, but not due to emotion. Her long, thin fingers were tangled in the extremely sturdy but somewhat thin copper chain that hung around her neck and reached her bellybutton. She easily untangled her hands, but only to reweave the gleaming chain around her fingers. Taking a seat on one of the many plush chairs that were secured to the floor or wall, she stopped to examine the silver lightening bolt at the bottom, brushing a speck of dirt from the polished silver, which she knew her district had paid highly to do, since everyone knew and loved Kaylee.

"Then why wouldn't someone take my place?" she spoke her thoughts aloud in the empty, rather dark, train car and received silence in response.

Sighing, she let herself sink deeper into thought and began planning what she would do once she was in the arena.
